Mostly they are nice but can be a bit food motivated and come right up to you expecting some snacks. The cabin we stayed in was just enough for our needs since it was just my husband and me. The entire staff is kind and willing to listen.

Fantastic staff, happy animals, well-kept facilities...what an incredible day we had. It feels like a dream. Easy day trip outing with the family or as a date- book your animal experiences online like we did at https://www.bluehillsranch.com . The staff was flexible to shift timing of the experiences so we didn't have to wait long in between- they were extremely accommodating and we never felt rushed either. The otter swim/playtime experience was originally what drew us, and it was even better than I'd imagined. Worth every penny! Then we got to feed and pet the capybaras, which were way friendlier than I thought they would be! The babies enjoyed some extra belly rubs too. Bottle feeding the kangaroo was so fun too- little Dundee was SO soft and loved all the pets, even gave us kisses! The giraffes were super friendly and greeted us every time we were nearby; feeding and getting quality time with them was an extra treat. The safari ride tour was also amazing- 5 of us fit comfortably and got to feed/see lots of animals that we wouldn't normally get to experience. We were surprised at how this place wasn't crowded at all in the middle of July when it is peak vacation season, so it really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They also have a beautiful main lodge area that is comfortable and welcoming with additional animals to enjoy.

I asked why the child is not able to ride the horse compared to the other children. They said because it's too big and I said too tall or too big size because we can weigh it out And measured the child's weight, but then I seen another child come to the horse and ask why the horse is standing around and I said the same thing to my friend Child. I said they said that the children cannot ride this any longer because the saddle is broken and then after that, they let someone Ride the horse with knowing that the saddle is broken. I did not have a good feeling about that, so I took my child far away from the horse just in case something was going to happen the bunnies, the ducks, the little chickens. The goats were very cute. Children tried to pick them up. Man said no do not pick up the animals, but the way he said it it was in the little rude way the child started to run and come to its parent at that point I came up and I said please don't speak to the child this way because mine also is playing with the animals. I spoke to one of the coworkers and said how long have you worked here and is it a good company because I have others who want to use the company for a birthday party for the children and they said yes but it's my first day so therefore I have a lot of questions because I came to this job thinking I was trained and there is no training and now I am having to tell children not to pick up the animals and they're unhappy because the parents said that they can't ride the horse so the children became very unhappy because the party was cut short. Sounds like the people who are working need more training and need to be able to know that if the saddle is broken, you need to fix it before bringing it to the party and please don't vape or smoke any other electronic cigarettes at the party because that was very concerning as adults have seen you And you are working for one of the families. You should know that there is no smoking at a child's party so your boss should've trained you better and you should know better as adult. I was very concerned when I seen the man smoking electronics at the birthday party and I have spoken to one of the parents about it and that was not allowed that was not in the contract that was signed and verbally spoken about also Safety. Concern of a child is very important. That is something that's going to be spoken about to others.

If you love goats, you have to come here. They have a massive pen where you can hang out with the cutest, friendliest goats for as long as you want. There's also a decent little gift shop to check out before you leave. A pro-tip from a regular: skip driving your own car through, especially if you want to keep your paint job clean! Hop on the trailer ride instead--that's truly where it's at. An amazing experience every single time!

I believe there's over 500 animals here, which is insane! For the drive thru safari specifically, the animals will come to your car and you have the opportunity to get up close and personal to them. If you have food, they are very assertive in getting some and may get food and spit in your car, so be prepared for that. The animals that came up to our car included deer, ostriches, alpacas, moose, and zebras. Outside of the drive thru safari, they also have a petting zoo. They have capybaras here (which I'm a big fan of) so we also paid to see and pet them! Overall, a super fun experience if you're an animal lover. The tickets are also pretty affordable which is another plus.

She was incredibly accommodating, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping me find exactly what I needed for our event. Her professionalism, flexibility, and willingness to help made the planning process seamless, and I truly appreciated how easy she was to work with. What really sets Freedom Fun apart, however, is the quality of their people. While setting up for our event, I suffered a very serious accident that resulted in a significant injury and severe bleeding. In those frightening moments, Isaac, DJ, and Adam immediately sprang into action. They did not hesitate for a second. Remaining remarkably calm under pressure, they took control of the situation, did everything they could to stop the bleeding, and stayed focused until emergency responders arrived. Their quick thinking, composure, and genuine concern for my well-being made all the difference during one of the scariest moments of my life. What impressed me most was not only how capable they were, but how compassionate and caring they were throughout the entire ordeal. They stayed with me, reassured me, and handled an incredibly stressful situation with maturity and professionalism far beyond their years. Freedom Fun should be extremely proud to have employees like Isaac, DJ, and Adam representing their company. Their actions demonstrated outstanding character, teamwork, selflessness, and a level of care that I will never forget. Thank you, Nina, for being so wonderful to work with, and thank you to Isaac, DJ, and Adam for stepping up when I needed help the most. This is a drive through safari and there is an admission fee per person. The drive from Round Rock was a little over an hour, but definitely worth it if you have small children. You will have an option to purchase food for the animals, or just drive through and soak in all the wonderful scenery.

Fun experience for the whole family…read more A FEW NOTES/TIPS FOR VISITING: --An early arrival is likely best because the animals will be hungrier. We came at 10am and had plenty of interaction. It seems to reason that a late arrival might offer tired/full animals that may not approach as easily. --Before you enter the safari, set up your kids. You will likely have to loosen safety standards for a bit but you're driving 5MPH so I felt comfortable doing it. I held my 1-year-old on my lap in the front passenger seat. He wouldn't have been able to see much otherwise. We also had to unbuckle my 3-year-old's seat belt so she could shift up otherwise she had trouble feeding the animals. --You're not supposed to hand feed the animals. I don't recall them telling us that but there's a sign saying it. It's hard to avoid because some of the animals will literally stick their head in your car (zebras and donkey, I'm looking at you). They're gentle and I had no issue hand feeding them. It felt necessary to get them to back off a bit (my kids got scared though, lol). The little deer were also gentle and easy to hand feed. Anything with big horns -- we definitely just threw the food on the ground. Same for the emus -- do not hand feed those -- they will chomp your fingers hard. Ultimately, they must know people hand feed some of the animals. I'm surprised they don't do liability waivers. --Watch for animals in front of your car or even swarming the side. Throwing a handful of feed away from the car helps move them away. --Get enough food, depending on how many feeders you have. We got a $10 bucket (3 people feeding) and it was plenty (with some left over for the petting zoo). We were conservative with it though. I'd say get more than you think you need since you don't want to run out. It's also helpful to have extra feed to throw when you want the animals to get away from your car. You can always use whatever is left for the petting zoo. They gave us an extra bucket (small one) for our daughter to use in the backseat. I'd ask if you want extra ones. --The goats at the petting zoo are pretty aggressive. If you walk in with a bucket, they will literally swarm you. Maybe it was because we came early in the day and there weren't too many other people there. My toddler got scared, lol. I'd recommend staying outside the gates and feeding through there or having one person stay outside to hand the feed over from the bucket. Ultimately, a great way to spend a couple of hours and entertain the kids. It's a little pricey since you pay per person (including 3 and up) but it's all good. The beautiful peacocks roaming around definitely enhanced the experience. The gift shop was a bit scarce -- could have been stocked with more items. I also wish they gave us a brochure about the animals upon entry (I saw reviews about people grabbing those at the gift shop; we had no idea they existed). Clean bathrooms and ample parking.

So I was excited to see what New Braunfels has to offer. I prepaid online for the tickets and reserved for 11:00 AM on a Saturday. When I arrived, the parking situation was terribly confusing. Once you drive in, there's a huge parking lot then there's a sign that says, "Camp Fimfo", I drove through the entrance of the sign. Towards my left, I saw a water park and drove to the back of the amusement park where I spotted everyone on golf carts. I turned around and drove to where the coaster was a tiny sign pointing in the direction of it. I got lost and via Google reviews a lot of people do. So to find the coaster, keep your eyes peeled for tiny signs that they "alpine coaster" is on the left side after the water park. There's plenty of parking in front of the coaster and a country store on site. I parked on some dusty rocks as the parking lot wasn't paved. There was hardly anyone else around for the 11:00 AM slot which was great! No long lines. My friend and I located the restroom on the side of the store. Restrooms were clean. Back at the coaster, we both signed waivers and the coaster staff helped us into separate seats with seatbelts. I had so much fun!! I couldn't stop laughing because the speed was fast around the curves and I didn't pull up the brakes. I pushed down the lever to make the cart go. I loved this Alpine coaster!! They have lockers where you can store your personal belongings. Bring your own lock. I would go around this coaster over and over again if I lived closer!!
