    Make A Reservation!

Give me a mountain coaster any day as you can't ever go wrong with that! For those who don't know what a mountain coaster is it's basically a roller coaster that has a single car usually in the shape of a bobsled it has a hand break and you just coast! This one had 3 lift hills each of which provided just that much more coastin time than the last as you go through the trees it's just soo fast fun and beautiful like this totally is a good time! So reservations are highly recommended as they do fill up so definitely make them on the website before you plan on riding as this is kinda in the middle of nowhere! The price was $20 a person with a little less for a passenger as you can ride up to two people per bobsled! Overall this was a super fun time and it's definitely not to be missed so if you haven't ridden this type of roller coaster then you totally should check it out!

Getting on... they offer video and photo at the end.

It was very fun and different way to 'coaster' through the hill country. Go early to avoid the heat. Stay the day via day pass... pools and river access via Camp Fimfo. It was a fun day. Stunning property.

Lots of fun and exciting ride eight minutes of spinning and turning up and down through the beautiful hill country at the end, you can purchase a video of your ride

Once you drive in, there's a huge parking lot then there's a sign that says, "Camp Fimfo", I drove through the entrance of the sign.

The major, and I mean major things was it was not crowded! Which was a huge relief for spring break and the crowds we dealt with every where else we went. The second MAJOR plus! The food was actually really good! You don't hear that much about amusement parks! If the family says they would eat it served anywhere else, then it's good! I recommend the family pack with food! Ok so value wise, you can look at it in two ways. The perks could outweigh the seeming thought of overpaying. It's waaaaaay cheaper than seaworld, or six flags. I can see it being worth more value if the water park section was opened. For right now, the fact the kiddos and even the misses could ride all day, and no long lines, make this a win for us. There are no token to buy, just all day wristbands. Yes the video games for the most part are dated. It's also not a huge park. There are four major rides outside. My family said the rollercoaster was a lot more violent and faster than they thought it would be. They were split whether they liked it or not. They also all loved the go kart attraction. We almost missed a small section in the inside towards the back. They had a bungee trampoline, a small rock wall, and a flight simulator! The family all enjoyed the flight simulator! It made for lots of laughs. They did have a playground and ball area for the smaller kids which we did not explore. Again, this is not a major theme park, but more like a light version with less crowds! We are coming back! The only negatives for us, the distance from where we live, the dated video game rides, and the water park being closed. It's not crazy cheap, but not crazy expensive. Hope that makes sense. It's almost like it was worth it to us because we were already driving back into town. That's pretty much it...

In the northwest part of San Antonio near La Cantera…read morewhere I10 meets Loop 1604 lies the closest Six Flags theme park (with roller coasters) to Houston since Astroworld closed decades ago. I've been to this particular Six Flags location over 25 times over my lifetime, and it has a great mix of rides for everyone. In my opinion, there are better Six Flags theme parks like Six Flags over Texas in Arlington and Six Flags Great America in Chicago, but this one in San Antonio is pretty good. It comes with several high thrill ride options like Iron Rattler (my favorite), Superman Krypton Coaster, and Wonder Woman. It also has lots of tamer rides for all ages. The food options are also pretty good, especially Johnny Rockets (those burgers and fries are amazing). As for crowds, it's hit or miss. Just know that on weekends around Halloween, Fright Night gets pretty packed. Same for Christmas at the Park. I once waited in line for over 2 hours to ride Iron Rattler. Less busy times like early May before the real summer kicks off, wait times are all less than 30 minutes even for the popular rides. There is also a water park directly connected inside the park so that's super convenient. In Dallas the water park is completely separate. As for pricing it's gone up over the years (even parking is $40 now whereas it was $20 not too long ago), but compared to the high end theme parks like Disney and Universal, Six Flags is very affordable. Enjoy!

Unfortunately this was just not a good experience. Paying…read more$40 to Park uncovered somewhere you are going to go in and spend loads of money is insulting, and an absolutely bizarre price to charge your customers. We are here for my son's birthday, mid June, so you would think everything would be on point! We got here and noticed immediately that the Batman was down. The boys opted for wonder woman, waited in line for about 30 minutes before the ride broke down and they did not get a chance to ride. This repeated itself multiple times throughout our visit: we would wait in line, in the heat for an unfathomable amount of time, just to be told the ride was no longer working and to go find something else. A water tube ride, the Pandemonium, and another that I didn't catch the name of. It also seems that there are multiple attractions that are simply not open, and like I said, we are here in June, not the off-season. Another thing to note is that there is absolutely no shade in the water anywhere you can swim. A woman in the wave pool was trying to protect herself from the summer sun with an umbrella, and was told she could not have her umbrella. As someone in Texas who has already had skin cancer myself, this is really not acceptable. We got the boys baskets of french fries, as the only other option at the food place we went in the waterpark was $20 chicken strips (they were out of $20 hamburgers) and the servings were so sad. There was clearly a deceased animal somewhere by the walkway at the waterpark we could smell every time we passed by. And as soon as it hit 5 o'clock, the GNATS!! oh my God, they were just everywhere. We came prepared to spend money today, with 5 of us; I'm not trying to be cheap. But for the amount of money everything costs, the experience just does not match up. If we wanted the main experience to be a wave pool, we could have done that much cheaper elsewhere. This was my son's birthday and I wanted so badly for everyone to have a great time, but this fell so short.

I grew up coming to Schlitterbahn, and while it will forever hold a nostalgic place in my heart,…read moreit's sadly not the park it once was. It's not even the place my now-adult kids remember loving. Let's start with the entry process. Metal detectors, bag and cooler scans -- no problem, I'm all for safety. But can we get an actual system? Instead, you've got one person at the start giving one set of instructions, another mid-line changing the plan, and a third at the end doing something completely different. It's chaos before you even hit the water. Chick-fil-A or H-E-B could fix this in about five minutes, promise. Then there's the "wave" pool. Waves? What waves? It's just... a pool. The giant wave river on the newer side? Once an absolute blast -- now basically a lazy river with occasional ripples. (Cue the middle schoolers screaming like they're being attacked by sharks at the tiniest splash. No, Cindy, shrieking at a small wave is not the personality trait you think it is.) A lot of rides and rivers are down or hard to access, and my hunch is staffing. Honestly, I'd happily pay $5-$10 more on a season pass (or a couple bucks more per ticket) if it meant staff could be paid better and more rides stayed open. It looks like they're building high dollar cabanas, so I'm hoping that, with them bringing in more money with those, staffing wages and incentives can improve. Here's the thing: I'm not giving up on Schlitterbahn. Not yet. At 55, I'm perfectly content floating the lazy river for a few hours, hopping on the Conga when I can, and making my $99 season pass pay for itself. (Ten trips this year -- worth it!). To add, with my season pass, I also get access to Six Flags parks. So I'll be enjoying those this fall, winter and spring, once the temps aren't such that you melt. lol I get it, things change. But I'd love to see more effort put into restoring the rides, fixing the entry process, staffing properly, and keeping the magic alive for new generations. Schlitterbahn doesn't need to be exactly what it was -- it just needs to feel like it's worth the splash again.

We lucked up on getting onto a few rides back to back with little to no waits when we arrived. The torrent River/wave pool in blastenhauf now requires live jackets- if you are 18 or older you can take valid ID to guest services and sign a waiver which excludes you from life jacket requirements! 2 rides I was disappointed in - the dragon revenge- longest line there was- instead of standing at the top of the side where there is water to keep you cool- you stand way at the bottom waiting for a tube (seems they only have about 15 tubes total) ride moves slow and we nearly got stuck! Also HILLSIDE! My favorite ride- they added these jumps for the first 1/2 of the ride where it makes you go super slow- and your butt is dragging over ever hump making it a very uncomfortable ride! The last half of the ride is great and just as I remember- besides not going through the missdle of the locker room anymore. Some of the slides also showed thier age and like they never get thoroughly cleaned when not in season. I love you can take your own cooler for non alcoholic beverages and food so your not eating and drinking fair food and drinks all day while in the sun. Hoping my next visit is just as great as this one!
