I was preparing to have my Mammogram and Ultrasound done. However, I was informed by my scheduler at Columbia Doctors that I needed my images from my last mammogram (2014) with Hackensack University Medical Center. Today, nothing has changed with the remarkable, caring, positive staffers, that give TLC as their standard. A professional body of heartwarming staff at Hackensack University Medical Center. I called and requested my images. They returned the call the next day, and my images and report were ready. I drove to NJ, got my ticket stamped for free parking from the Breast Cancer Screening Center. Dropped off my images to Columbia Doctors on West 51st Street in the heart of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall (so cool). At the end of the movie, it was a joyous experience that made me feel truly gratefully happy and cared for by Hackensack University Medical Center and Columbia Doctors/NY Presbyterian Hospital. The great news is that my Mammogram and Ultrasound was negative. AMEN

We arrived at 10:30pm, 30 minutes before their closing. The staff members at the reception were so friendly and quick to wrap up all the paper work, we were called in within 15 minutes. I was extremely impressed with their service. The nurse took the vitals and pre-assessment of the incident from my family member. Then the doctor came to visit us within next couple of minutes. He was very caring and provided us with all the details necessary to handle the finger cut situation. All the personnels we dealt with, none of them were worries that we were in there 15-20 minutes beyond the closing time of 11pm. The facility looked modern as they opened only about a year ago. There were multiple patient rooms. The lobby area was comfortable and spacious. In front of the facility there are plenty of parking spot. After such wonderful experience, I'll for sure consider this City MD location as my first preference for urgent care.

You walk in and the receptionist asks for your name and cell phone number, and I gave to her, then my text alert went off... with a registration link, I told her my cell phones internet is poor, And I want to submit on paper instead, coz also, I hate computers. She said either do on mobile or leave, because that was the only way I would get to see doctor. So I was desperate because I needed medical attention, So I tried to it and cell kepted on freezing. So, I went back to her and told I was unable to do it. And she said it was only way to see dr... So, she took pity on me and did it on her computer and then told me to sit down and wait. 30 minutes later she approached and told me I had to finish it on mobile, So she did it for me. I waited a total of one hour and fifteen minutes before I was called. Due the waste of time trying to input into cell phone. I informed Doctor twice that I was allergic to a medication. she waited 2 hours and sent the medication to pharmacy. As stupid is she sent the medication that I was allergic to the pharmacist. What should have been a straightforward cosmetic procedure turned into a horrific experience that left me with severe burns, permanent scarring, and zero accountability from both Dr. Garrison and MetroVein Centers. I initially sought treatment for vein issues. After completing Radiofrequency Ablation procedures, Dr. Garrison assured me that my medical concerns were resolved and recommended cosmetic treatment for my spider veins--two sclerotherapy sessions and one laser session. Trusting his expertise, I agreed. I underwent a laser treatment that resulted in two severe burns on my legs. Both developed large blisters that ruptured the same day, leaking fluid. Despite following all aftercare instructions, the wounds remained open, wet, and required dressing changes multiple times per day for weeks. I had to seek emergency care at an urgent care facility, where the doctor advised me to immediately contact MetroVein Centers because my wounds were clearly the result of an improperly performed laser procedure. When I returned to MetroVein Centers that same day, the medical assistant was visibly horrified at my injuries and directly asked if Dr. Garrison had caused them. When Dr. Garrison entered the room, he looked scared, knowing something had gone terribly wrong. He provided me with bandages and medication and tried to brush it off as something that "happens." However, he knew he had made a serious mistake and promised me free future sclerotherapy sessions--clearly as an attempt to pacify me. I spent the entire summer covering my wounds, changing bandages multiple times per day, and watching my burns turn into permanent scars. Eventually, a dermatologist confirmed my scars were irreversible. When I reached out to MetroVein Centers, Dr. Garrison was suddenly dismissive and unprofessional. He initially refused to honor his promise, offering only one free session--not because he felt obligated, but because he thought I was a "nice person." This was not only insulting but a blatant refusal to take accountability. After I left the office, I received a call informing me that I would actually receive two free sessions. It was only after I mentioned consulting a lawyer that Dr. Garrison finally agreed to provide the free sclerotherapy sessions he had originally promised. I went forward based on that agreement and received two free sessions. However, after those two treatments, MetroVein Centers went back on their word and demanded payment for any further sessions. When I asked to speak with Dr. Garrison, I saw him in the office, but staff refused to let me talk to him. Instead, I received a vague call from a MetroVein representative who downplayed my burns as a "side effect"--when in reality, this was clear medical negligence. Dr. Garrison has since stopped performing cosmetic procedures at MetroVein Centers, which speaks volumes about what happened in my case. However, his actions, and the way MetroVein Centers handled this situation, should not be ignored. If you are considering MetroVein Centers, especially for cosmetic procedures, I urge you to think twice. A clinic that injures a patient, refuses to take responsibility, and tries to dismiss serious complications as routine side effects is a clinic that does not prioritize patient safety. Weeks have passed, and I have received no further communication from MetroVein Centers. While I have chosen not to pursue legal action, I refuse to remain silent. Potential patients deserve to know the truth. I have officially filed a complaint with the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners and NJ Consumer Affairs, and I encourage others to report their experiences if they have suffered similar mistreatment. MetroVein Centers failed me completely. I will never trust them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them.
