When I inquired about the side, I was told that the asparagus was ground up in the half dollar size polenta cake. SERIOUSLY?? Duck portion was less than 4 ounces (mostly fat). . $45 for a tiny filet. These folks are trying to play at being a real restaurant when all they're really doing is robbing people blind with sub par food and service. One person covering 5 (yes, 5 WHOLE tables). Even on an incredibly slow night service was awful. I don't know about anybody else out there, but I don't have $200 to throw away on BS restaurants. Especially disappointing on your anniversary. Let we not forget the wines, no brands listed, that tasted like watered down crap. The only reason their Facebook says 100% recommended is because they delete any reviews that say otherwise, Trust me and skip this one. Go to Carsons, Corto Limo or Guiseppes for amazing food and service. Guess I should have ordered the hamburger. Live and learn.

We were driving through…read moreAppalachia and ended up in the little town of Big Stone Gap around lunch time, and ended up here. it's surprisingly big, with a large spacious dining area and bar and sports viewing area in the back. The decor is minimalist but nice and the seating is comfortable. Service was a little slow, but pleasant. But the food itself was unexpectedly good! Their French Dip burger was excellent. It's rare to find French Dip sandwiches using traditional roast beef these days, as roast beef has been replaced by barbequed beef or pulled pork. Here they applied the French Dip concept to a well-prepared beef burger. The au jus was excellent and when the burger was dipped into it -- it was soooo good. As a side, the fire-roasted corn was out of this world, too. Whatever spices they put on the roasted corn really take it to the next level. Also amazing was their Cajun pasta with broccoli and chicken (added on). The sauce was stated as being alfredo with Cajun spices, but it tasted to me almost like a combination of pesto and alfredo. I've had Cajun style pasta sauce in many restaurants and it usually has what you'd expect in terms of Cajun seasoning. Here I'm not even sure I'd describe it as Cajun really, but whatever seasoning they put in the sauce, they should patent it. The chicken was well-grilled, tender and tasty and the broccoli pieces were also wonderful. On top were two pieces of perfectly baked Italian style bread that I used to soak up every bit of that incredible pasta sauce. Even though this place it basically 3 hours from where I live, if I'm ever anywhere near here again, I'd go back in a heartbeat!

These are cut into rings , then battered and deep fried and served with ranch dressing. Probably some of the best banana pepper rings I have had in a very long time! Looking around I saw others who had ordered the burger (which looked really good) and another person had a very fresh looking salad. Others had the fish dinner,and we both decided on the fish sandwich for our lunch. You can choose from either battered or breaded whitefish. So, we ordered one of each! The sandwich came with crinkle cut french fries. There were other options that could be substituted for the fries. Also came with 2 hush puppies. The sandwiches were huge! Probably 12" long with a generous piece of fish on a fresh bun. Came with lettuce, onion, pickle, and a ripe slices of red tomato. The fish was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. The breaded fish may have been a little heavy on black pepper, but not overbearing. If I was super picky, the bun would have been better if it were slightly toasted on the grill, but that's just a personal preference. One thing it was missing was tartar sauce (and you know me--some hot sauce). But overall, this was a very delicious sandwich and others said the same thing we did when they sat the sandwiches on our table. In unison, we all said, "Oh Wow!" It was a good thing that I was very hungry, because I was somehow able to eat it all, but next time, we will order one sandwich, cut it in half, and order an extra side of extra crispy french fries. Next door is The Hippie Hut where (if you have room) can stop by and get a delicious shaved ice or hand dipped ice cream. I fully recommend Backstreet Grub and we will be back real soon!

We stopped in on a Saturday evening right after opening time, hoping we would be able to get a table. The place was mostly empty, but WOW was it gorgeous! So much decor, and not a speck of dust or cobwebs on any of it. Looked like a victorian era mansion inside the dining room they took us to. It was all autumnal decor, so beautiful! The place is probably an old department store or something with many different rooms, each with its own decor theme; lots of space for special events. Some families were seated in private rooms. I walked through several of the other rooms and they were all decorated for different holidays, Christmas & Halloween mostly. Although those rooms had a lot of kitschy decor, they were also very beautiful. There were giant carved fireplace mantles, grand pianos, a hall of mirrors, and gorgeous carved wood antique furnishings everywhere. We were coming from a family reunion & a trip to Cumberland Falls, so I feared we would be underdressed (and felt we were a bit), but the staff was very welcoming and we had no problem being seated. Several other diners were dressed very well, and others were wearing jeans and t-shirts. It appears to be a very popular date restaurant, and it would definitely be a great romantic spot for a special dinner. The server was quick, efficient and friendly and made good suggestions. We ordered side salads which arrived quickly and were beautifully arranged. Super fresh ingredients, and delicious dressings. My husband kept exclaiming it was the nicest side salad he's had anywhere, so he was apparently pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken piccata, and my unadventurous husband had a burger. He liked his burger, and ate most of it. My chicken piccata was excellent! The generously sized two pieces of chicken were a bit thicker than usual for piccata, but they were cooked perfectly. Crispy exterior, and very tender and flavorful on the inside. The sauce was a bit thicker than normal piccata sauce but man was it good, and they did not skimp on the capers, which is my favorite part of the dish! It was served over a delicious rice blend which went so well with the sauce and served as a nice foil to the rich saltiness of the chicken. I ate way more of it than I even intended to and was stuffed. As much as we ate for dinner, unbelievably, we forced room for dessert and got an amazingly good chocolate cream cake of some sort which had thick layers of whipped filling between layers of chocolate cake, all topped with ganache. It was like a homemade hostess ding-dong, except way more moist. We ate most of it, despite our full bellies. My husband also raved about this cake, which is unusual because he usually hates things with whipped fillings, but he loved the cake & we had it eaten in no time. Finally, when it was time to pay the bill, it was actually a lot more reasonable than many other places that aren't half as good. Server did a great job. We were super happy with our dinner experience, and both of us agreed that Seasons is a major blessing for downtown Corbin. We will definitely stop in again without hesitation. We walked off our meal by meandering around town in the beautiful evening weather, ending up a block or two away at the pinball museum, so we had a fun date night, all in downtown Corbin!
