Being here feels like having moved in together with a group of friends, there are fridges with soft drinks and Nespresso machines, you simply help yourself to anything you need. To create a nice atmosphere, there is a Sonos sound system with Spotify, and also a TV screen for presentations. They do provide all possible adaptors (HDMI, VGA, Mac, etc...) in case you forget to bring your own. There's a whiteboard wall (!) and if you're like me and have a weird thing about stationary and office supplies, you'll basically want to live up there. There are 3 large rooms, all beautifully decorated and themed with names (ask them about it!) to help you get into your creative groove. The location is ideal. It's in the center of the city, but isolated enough to be charming. Of course, it's also surrounded by some of the city's best cultural icons. The chefs had already planned the entire menu. It was quite a lot of fun to cook with my colleagues while sipping on wine and beer. A lot of pictures were taken. Afterwards, we were all seated down at the three dinner tables as the staff served our creations. There was a gas fireplace as well. Went to Tobacco Theater for company's Xmas party. It was a wonderful evening. The party started with few drinks in a beautiful cellar/ basement. We had few drinks there followed by delicious small snacks - small hamburger, pita sandwich, amuse of tuna with sesame seeds and goat cheese. All were delicious and just made everyone to crave more food. After about an hour we moved to the main room. It was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and just brought us all into Christmas atmosphere. The official party started with a gymnastics/ acrobatics show on the ropes hanging from the ceiling, then the food followed. It was a very delicious buffet. We had a choice of: pumpkin salad with goat cheese, beetroot salad with rocket and feta, roasted potatoes, salmon, small beefsteaks, green beans and many more. All was delicious and very refreshing. We had our own dj who was rocking the evening's music. Staff was very helpful and comforting. Ah...and when we started getting little bit hungry after all the dancing and drinking they brought us some small cups of french fries with mayonnaise - what a great idea!! De Rode Hoed is classy, functional and much bigger than I expected. The main meeting area has high ceilings, nice finishes and has space on the sides for more seating.
