Our family was dining at a nearby, toddler-unfriendly restaurant so we decided to try out Cheese It Up. They are, by far, the quickest, most reasonably-priced food truck I've found in the area. For $8, I had the caprese appetizer. Their unique twist is what I would call a "tomato soup" drizzle which was delicious! The tomatoes were fresh, huge slices of fresh mozz and it was well-seasoned with salt and basil (I opted for no EVOO). My husband had the $11 Low Country Chicken sandwich which was a very yummy combo of chicken, pimento cheese and tomatoes, served with a pickle spear. It had a flavor reminiscent of buffalo wings without the heat. Pretty darn good! We were definitely happy with our selections and I will not hesitate to order again if I see them out and about.

I couldn't decide between their BBQ Chicken or Veggie pizza, and the gentleman running the truck (who I think might've been the owner?) came up with the most genius solution: a BBQ Veggie combo pizza. BABY. That was hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Flavor? 10/10 Creativity? 10/10 Customer service? 10/10 Leftovers? ZERO. I had seen PPMP at CoVa Mag's Best of CoVa party last year and somehow missed their table (lots of people, lots of vendors to check out and not enough hands to juggle all the samples). But anyway, while my husband made his way to the bar, I made a beeline to PPMP. - TLC - I was immediately greeted with what they are all about and the specials they had. Turns out they do pretzels too. - Noms - They have a limited menu, with a handful of choices, but I really like that. Know what you do well and just stick to it. Since we were in the mood to just munch and had plans to make more food stop for the evening, we ordered one pizza to share. Meat Lubbers - the toppings are pepperoni, sausage and bacon. They also offered spinach as an extra topping, to add some color to the pizza. The pizza was delicious! The right about of chew and crisp with quality toppings. The only thing is, I would have loved to see a bit more spinach since this was an add on with an additional charge. They kinda looked like basil leaves rather than spinach as a topping if you know what I mean. But it had some great char and some bubbles in the crust which I love to see (and eat). Definitely one of the better pizzas we've had so far in Coastal VA! I'm so glad we caught PPMP at Big Ugly. Well, leave it to Flame and Pie to fufill my cravings for the evening. This is actually the 2nd time I've ordered from them. And they have a pretty good reputation from foodies and food truck fanatics alike. Let's see if this selection hits my taste buds just right. For ordering, I just walked up to the front of the truck with not too long of a line and was greeted promptly by the staff, which consisted of only two people. Both were pretty busy with customers taking orders and cooking the food, but ran very efficiently with a pretty good vibe. Call it a food truck operating at full speed. The menu was in front for everyone to see. Inside, it looked very organized with pizza boxes on top of the oven as well. And in front, napkins, condiments and desserts in place. Not too clunky at all. My order was ready in about 15 minutes. I selected their 10" pickle bacon ranch pizza. Truly delicious. There was a lot of pickles and bacon on top along with ranch drizzle. And the crust had a bit of a crunch. I actually let Sophia eat half of my order and she enjoyed it too. Great pizza to go with some beer. Definitely can't beat that. Thankfully they had one left and the other two in the party got meatballs bowls. I also ordered the handmade organic garlic rolls which proved phenomenal. Tony and Emma were friendly and fun.
