I love my kitchen and I've also approached him about a future project. I had a basic 1970's era condo kitchen-outdated but can't really change the footprint. I tried to revive it with refacing. It still didn't function well, but I worked around it. A leak in the wall behind the cabinets, forced an unexpected remodel. I received estimates from several contractors using stock or RTA "IKEA" kitchen cabinets. The cabinets I saw in these stores did not seem as sturdy as my existing cabinets. I couldn't customize and would have similar unusable spaces where the pre-made cabinets are put together. The contractors and pre-made cabinet stores told me custom cabinets would cost twice as much as their estimates. While looking for design ideas, I saw multiple Houzz and Reddit posts stating a local carpenter could give me custom cabinets at a much better price. I am so glad I paid attention to the posts! That's how I found Sacramento Millworks. His price for my project was comparable to the quotes I received for stock cabinets. Raymond is a carpenter and a designer. Because of his experience, he handled everything. He walked me through everything, including a trip to the granite and tile shops. I just picked colors. He was very patient. Most of contractors I've worked with recently send employees to do the work. They just pop in here and there until it's time for payment. Raymond was on site working with one helper everyday. This was a large, complicated project with challenging terrain, a mature tree that had to be preserved, and several unexpected obstacles along the way. What impressed me most wasn't that everything went perfectly--it was that the team stayed committed until it was right. Matt deserves special recognition. Throughout the project, he was always there. He coordinated the crews, communicated consistently, and, most importantly, made me feel like he genuinely had my back. Whenever challenges came up, he stayed committed to finding solutions and making sure I was happy with the final result. That level of customer care is hard to find. The demo crew did an excellent job removing the old deck quickly and efficiently, giving the project a great start. Carlos did a fantastic job leading the construction of the new deck and overseeing the project. His attention to detail and pride in his work really show in the finished product. A huge thank you to Chad and Mike for the electrical and HVAC work. They went above and beyond, finding creative solutions and making sure every system worked exactly as it should. Nothing felt rushed--they took the time to get it right. The sunroom installation by Vlad and Serge was nothing short of impressive. They worked incredibly hard, completed the installation beautifully, and even stayed until 9:00 PM one evening to finish the job. Their craftsmanship and work ethic were outstanding. The concrete crew--Gabe, Miguel, and their helpers--also did beautiful work. Not only did they create a fantastic finished product, but they made the experience extra special by helping me place my dog Yuri's paw prints into the fresh concrete. That simple act created a memory I'll treasure every time I walk outside. Despite the difficult site conditions, preserving a beautiful tree, and working through the natural challenges of the property, the team found solutions every step of the way without sacrificing quality or appearance. We are still in that phase where we sit and stare in awe at what ADH accomplished for us. This major construction journey began last fall, when I thoroughly researched every well-reviewed home remodeling company serving this area. I only considered companies with more than 4 stars on Yelp and Google. We interviewed and received bids from five of them, and we were comfortable choosing ADH. We now know we made exactly the right decision. Amazingly, ADH came to us with a proposal that included everything on our wish list, and at a significantly more reasonable price than any of the others. We were impressed by their showroom, and we were especially drawn to ADH because it has its own manufacturing facility, where it custom-makes the high-end cabinetry it installs. Osa was our designer, and she was terrific. Osa was easy to work with, always available when we needed her help, and supportive in every way imaginable. Spending at this level, and contemplating at least a month of daily construction in the home, is stressful. Yet Osa assured us and explained the process in ways that alleviated many of our concerns. We felt fortunate to have her at our side all along the way. Every single ADH employee that we interacted with was a pleasure to deal with. Andrey was our project manager, and his competence and calm demeanor throughout were always helpful. Our remodel involved having workers in our home every day for a month. The respect and care they showed for our home and our comfort throughout the construction period were above and beyond anything we expected. I am posting pictures of the before and after, but no photo can do justice to the dramatic difference these changes made to our home. The quality of the cabinets is outstanding, the countertops are magnificent, and the fit and finish of every part this project are first-class all the way. Obviously, I highly recommend ADH for any level of remodeling you are thinking about. From the consultation to the scheduling of appointments and the installation every thing went smoothly. I had lots of questions and inquires about my project and they responded quickly and were very patient with me. Although a smaller project and my budget was limited I still appreciate the attention they provided to me for the kitchen counters and backsplash renovation.
