My dad was wanting a battery replacement on his old watch. We were planning on eating lunch in the area and found this place that was nearby. We dropped by and there was someone working at a workbench right near the door and a few other clients. This shop is a very typical Vietnamese shop so if you aren't comfortable in the type of style of service or are unfamiliar with it, this may not be the shop for you. The center of the store are a bunch of chairs if you are inclined to sit and wait. I was waiting to check if the battery swap can be made and how long the wait was. After fixing something for one client, I was asked on what I needed. I briefly mentioned I need a battery replacement and handed the watch. In 10 minutes or less, the watch battery was replaced. I wasn't told upfront how much it would cost but I figured it couldn't be too much. With all said and done, the person working handed me the watch and walked over to another client. To be honest, I likely could have just walked away without paying as there wasn't really any attention to the effort or not of the replacement or not (like it seemed like it was on the house and have a nice day hand off). Anyways, we insisted on paying and were told it costed $10. Being busy with the next client already, we just handed a $10 and was on our way. This location was less than 5 minutes away from me and was highly regarded so I decided to stop by. I brought in 3 watches, 1 automatic that wasn't working, 1 that needed a battery replacement, and 1 that needed the lumes on the face replaced. In about 2 minutes he diagnosed all 3 watches. The automatic he shook it a couple of times (while I am watching him like, I just did that before coming) and like magic it was working again, the lume replacement they completed in under 5 minutes, and the battery replacement in about 2 minutes. I spent $10 on the battery replacement, $30 on the lume replacement, and the automatic he just showed me it just needed a good shake. I needed a battery for my analog watch. I couldn't open the case to replace it. I found Hai on Yelp with high ratings. I walked in said hello. He used a technique I had not seen. He tried one location on the edge of the cover. No go. He tried a different place, tapped three times and the cover popped up open. He quickly replaced the battery and hand pressed the cover back on. After examining it with his magnifying eye glass, he knew it hadn't snapped into place. He pulled out a set of disks to match the dial glass and back cover sizes exactly. He wrapped the glass cover in a cloth before setting it in a press machine with the disks in position. Crank the press a little bit and a little more. He examined the back case with the magnifying eye glass. Done! That was only 5 minutes in the store. It was worth $10 to hire a professional who had all the right tools, knew where to tap, had the right battery, and could seal the back cover in place without cracking the glass. read more

I stopped by to have a watch resized and battery replaced. After a quick look, I was told it would be $30 which I was fine with. The gentleman opened the bracelet and then test fit the watch on my wrist. We did need to make a small adjustment with the band after removing a link, but the watch fit perfectly once he was finished sizing. When opening the back of the watch he found that the gasket was broken. He had one available and the gasket replacement would be an additional $10.
