Was told the cooling system was fine and the timing chain was in great working order, no need for maintenance. 2 weeks later the water pump leaked and the timing chain needed replacing, along with camshaft positioning. I took it somewhere else for the work. Spending another $3,000 but this time the work is actually being done. $6,000 total for what I asked 5th Gear to do the first time. They were nice people and attentive and followed up the first few days. But once the vehicle had problems for what they were asked to do, I decided to take it somewhere else place else for that work.

Ballpark they quoted me $400-$600. Dropped my car off when I picked it up the bill was $996, and what they did instead of replacing the Catalytic Converter like I requested. they cut it in half and only changed half of the Catalytic Converter, then said "oh you need to get the back part installed soon it's going out.". They cut the Catalytic Converter in half only changed half if the Catalytic Converter now they are asking for $700 just for the missing half. I called Huffines Jeep and told them never to recommend Lorentz Automotive/Lewisville Muffler to anyone again. They are shocked that the Catalytic Converter got cut in half. Now I am looking for someone to install 1/2 , Huffines said they only install complete Catalytic Converter

After about 30 minutes Charlie came and got me from the lobby and showed me the damage to my rear brakes. Never have I had a mechanic actually point out what was wrong with my car so that I could see it with my own two eyes. He gave me an estimate for fixing all of it which was well below what I thought it was going to cost. My car feels brand new now. If y'all need brake help/oil change or most things car related besides tires this is the place to go. Charlie is a stand up guy and will make sure that you are well taken care of. He even told me that some of my brakes (front) were fine and did not need replacement. I heard him tell another customer that their car was fine and needed NOTHING. They diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. I was quoted an additional $300 for the battery. Truck still would not start. I was told an additional diagnostic test would be an additional $700+, which did not include repairing the potential problem when found. What!!? Do NOT use this shop! I told them to keep their battery and had a different towing company to pick up my truck and deliver to a reputable repair shop. If this review makes it to the public, I will be surprised. Christian Brothers Automotive in Roanoke are gouging predators. Beware.
