I've been seeing Dr. Casey for lipoma removals for what seems like 10 years now, and I've had nothing but positive experiences with him. Great sense of humor, great bedside manner, and a great doctor too. He's fantastic and I highly recommend him. On a couple of occasions I had to ask him about a skin issue when I was there for something entirely different and he was very helpful, which meant I didn't have to make another appointment and pay extra money, which was really nice of him. I've been going to them for about five or six years now, most of that time being attended to by Dr. Casey. I have seen Dr. Alexander for 5+ years. He is absolutely wonderful, very kind, and I can always feel his genuine concern with giving me the best care! But, I would love to be welcomed into the doctors office with a smile. No, I am not here to hang out with the receptionist, but I always leave feeling like I have inconvenienced the front desk/nurses. I will say that not ALL of them are like this, but there are enough for me to point this out. I work in a business where costumer service is key for a good experience and it makes a world of a difference. If you are going to the dermatologist for more cosmetic reasons or to get rid of acne this practice is fine I guess. Unfortunately if you are going for more serious reasons like getting screened for skin cancer, they are a nightmare. I'm a pale, blonde girl, skin cancer runs in my family and on top of that I have moles on my back that are not consistent from one to another and I am basically a dermatologist's nightmare. Is it cancer? should I biopsy or should I not? etc and so forth. I go every year to get checked. The first time I went to Hailey, Brody, Casey and Wray I saw Dr. Hailey. I had a mole of concern on my bikini line (bigger than a pencil eraser and uneven borders) and asked for him to remove and biopsy it. His remark was "if my wife had a mole here, I'd want her to have it removed too". What?!!! I didn't ask him if he thought the mole was ugly I wanted to know if it was CANCER! He removes it and I get a bill in the mail for $350 dollars for a "cosmetic removal". Again WHAT?!!! I call the office and was told that indeed they had coded it as cosmetic removal and that my insurance company would not pay for it. It turns out that they never biopsied the mole either even though I had specifically asked them to. After a few calls to the office, they ended up ripping up the bill. I told the nurse about Dr. Hailey's comment and she was shocked and apologized. Then I asked her to tell Dr. Hailey that he should start praying now that the mole wasn't cancerous. I was seriously upset. I went back to see Dr. Wray because I had heard great things about the practice and I decided you can't judge an entire practice by one doctor. He wasn't as much of a nightmare but he seemed to be more interested in talking about a couple of blemishes on my face rather than really focusing on my screening. I walked out with 2 prescriptions for acne meds and feeling like I could have a killer mole still lurking on my back because he wasn't really paying attention. I will not go back to this practice ever again. I want a full service dermatologist that will help me keep my skin looking great but that will also help keep me alive by catching skin cancer early. read more

Running is not a pretty sport. Last year I was training for a marathon...I guess the combination of hair product, freezing temps and dry air reacted very negative on my skin and I needed a dermatologist fast! I went to three different dermatologist...all three diagnosed me incorrectly and prescribed me with basic hydo-cortisone. So I looked into my people and cracked open the Gay Pages and found Hailey, Brody, Casey and Wray and thought I would give it a try...I mean c'mon, us gays really do strive for perfection right!? Well not only did they find out what was going on with me, but gave me the prescription that cleared up my skin! If you are looking for a dermatologist, you need to go directly here! The staff is very friendly and they have more services like lipo, chemical peels, BOTOX, etc... They definitely have a patient for life with me, especially when I decide to be like Karen Walker from Will & Grace! Lunch BOTOX session with martini's, anyone? :) read more

I *really* hate to leave this review. I have been going to this practice for a VERY long time and have always considered my physician to be the best. We are in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. When I entered the office, there was an elderly gentleman sitting in the waiting area not wearing a mask. This made me immediately uncomfortable, so I asked if I could wait outside until my appointment. When it was my turn, the woman who came out to get me had her mask dangling on her ear. She did not place it over her face when we went inside the building either. The first office we walked past there was a woman in there talking to another office employee, both of whom were not wearing masks. As we walked further down the hall I asked "so are masks not required in this office?" She replied "no, we don't require them, but if you want us to wear them when we come into your exam room we will". I should have just walked out right then and there, because that says everything about how this practice views COVID and the safety of their patients, and themselves for that matter. Now for my exam. This appointment was for a yearly mole check/cancer screening as well as a skin issue that I was having. I am not naming who my physician is because I already feel bad having to leave this terrible review. When he and the nurse came in, they were both wearing masks - clearly they got the memo that I was not comfortable having a maskless exam during a pandemic. So that was all fine and good until the exam started. It all happened so quickly that I didn't realize until he was touching my face that he was not wearing gloves. I started panicking and then he, *without asking* proceeded to pull down my masks ( I was wearing an N95 and a cloth mask cover). He was very clumsy in doing so and it made me feel even more violated and uncomfortable. I would have felt more comfortable removing my own masks with my own hands if I knew he wanted to look a the covered part of my face. All I could think about was how clean his hands were --- He did not wash his hands before he started touching me (AFTER opening the door to enter the exam room) Had he been wearing rubber gloves (which there is a box of -- MOUNTED TO THE WALL) I would have felt 10 times better. I did watch my physician wash his hands after my exam. Luckily the appointment itself was quick so I was in and out of there. As I was leaving to check out, the same woman that I saw in her office before was still in there not wearing a mask, and began to yell something to the girls in the reception area. Yes, YELLING while not wearing a mask. Does everyone need a reminder about how this virus spreads?! Or are we in a part of town where people think that they are immune and won't contract or pass on Covid? Unbelievable. As for the girls in the reception area - One was wearing a mask, one had a mask dangling from her ear, and one was wearing no mask at all (the one who took my credit card when I was leaving). Granted they had new acrylic barriers installed, however -- we are not outdoors. They are still indoors and for many hours each day, sharing the same air flow with everyone else in that office, including patients. I have been extremely safe and only go out for groceries and to exercise and walk my dog. I am hardcore about social distancing. After visiting this office I am now going to be worried for the next couple of weeks until I pass the 14 day period. If you want to feel safe at the dermatologist during a pandemic, I highly advise not going here. In pre-pandemic times, this place has always been 5 stars. read more

Been seeing Dr Wray for approx 1 year. Last restilin (sp?) injection did not turn out as expected. Went in a couple of days after the injection and Dr Wray was a bit defensive which was concerning. We agreed to let swelling go down before assessing if in fact the restilin was "deposited" in the wrong place. Seven weeks later and I can tell you ... it was! Going back in this week. We will see if he takes a less defensive stance and bottom line makes what was wrong.. right! Stay tuned.... read more

I've been seeing Dr. Wray for several years (10+). I find it easy to make an appointment, there's plenty of parking and his office is conveniently located. Dr. Wray and his assistant Char are fantastic. He's always so pleasant, really listens, conducts a thorough exam and is happy to answer questions. Not once has he ever suggested, much less pressured, me into any cosmetic procedures, but when I've asked he's been honest about procedures, and what may (and may not) be right for me. Occasionally they do run behind, but it's not frequent or bothersome enough for me to deduct a star. read more

Dr. Wray is the best dermatologist I've ever had. he's friendly, speedy and obviously great at his craft. If you have blemishes on your face he can zap them off for you. highly recommended, although the location leaves a bit to be desired. (Then again, it's near Chick-fil-A and I might have stopped in there a time or two on the way in.) read more

Dr. Alexander has been my dermatologist for a few years now. I live about 45 miles south but travel to this office because they are amazing. I have a history of skin cancer in my family and have had several spots removed prior to going to Dr. Alexander and once becoming a patient Dr. Alexander was able to locate a melanoma spot and have it removed ASAP. He personally calls me to check in and let me know results , check on me after surgery and he explains everything in terms you can understand without making you feel silly or unintelligent . He has great bedside manor and is very observant. If you have a history of cancer or are dealing with another sort of skin issue go here this office is full of great doctors who care read more

My mother swears by these guys but I have to differ. Not only was their price tag insane when I didn't have insurance, the procedures I've had there (by Hailey and Brody) were sloppy and almost scary. First, I had some moles removed. They were back within the year, pushing through the scarring like champs. The doc's commentary on my moles was none too tactful either. Then, I had a planters wart removed from my foot. Upon leaving the office, I noticed that the "fix" had bled through the bandages and was leaking all over my car. Nice work guys. Finally, when I was diagnosed by another doctor with a bout of psoriasis, they neglected to inform me how the powerful steroid shot they gave me would mess with my menstrual cycle to the point that I thought I had suffered a miscarriage. Wow. I suspect from their waiting room that their botox/buckhead clientele keeps the place in business. They won't be getting mine ever again. read more

It seems that every time in go here, there's a really long wait. In fact, I waited for 50 minutes to be taken to the back and then waited another few for Dr. Casey to come in. The nurse said "that's the way it goes here"...what!! I've seen him for years and every time I come, he quickly runs through what I want to talk about and doesn't ask any questions or check out my skin to make sure everything looks ok. He was in such a hurry today that I saw him for 5 minutes (after waiting for 50 minutes) and when I asked questions, he told me the nurse would explain. I came to see and pay a doctor, not a nurse. Oh, and he had the wrong chart when he came to see me. I'm appalled that a place would overbook their doctors to the point where patients pay to see a doctor for five minutes after waiting for nearly an hour to be seen. I also recently received a claim for the WRONG insurance, after giving the nurse the new insurance card. In summary, pretty much everything went wrong: long wait, poor doctor customer service and lack of attention to detail. It's time they stop overbooking to make more money and start focusing on customer service and their patients. read more

So after seeing such fine yelpers such as the fantabulous Joel and the captain ARGG go here I had to check it out! This was my first time seeing a dermatologist but after a funky breakout due to medications, I had to take immediate action! Dr. Casey was super informative and has such a great bedside manner I wish I could see him for everything that ails me! He was knowledgeable about drug interactions that I might encounter, as well as the cause for my skin problems. He even gave me a prescription card for one of my prescriptions that entitled me to have that whole prescription for free ( WOW!!! saving me over $150 bucks!), and a 7 day trial of my prescription ( so I could test it out before filling it- Brilliant!) They deal with everything from the basic dermabrasion and breakouts to tattoo removal and lipo suctioning fat from your butt to put in the wrinkles of your face-yikes! Appointment was easy to make, although I waited 3 weeks because he was so booked- the sign of a good doctor! With all the doctors I've dealt with over the past few years, Dr. Casey has by far surpassed my idea of what a great Doctor should be and I would definitely recommend him! read more

I've been going to this practice for almost ten years. Dr. Casey and Dr. Alexander are so nice, knowledgeable, and professional and are very good at what they do. Dr. Alexander is my absolute favorite, as well as his nurse, Connie. Having had cystic acne and looking like a freak, Dr. Alexander is always sympathetic and my acne is now almost gone. Visited Dr. Brody who took biopsy's on lip & roof of mouth. Results came back & Brody refereed me to another Doctor for treatment. I went to the Dr. he recommended. The recommended Dr. said he never heard of Dr. Brody and was not sure why he refereed me to him. That cost me $133. Additionally, I later found out that dermatologist should not be taking biopsy's inside the mouth - that is out of their domain. Brody may be good in some areas but he certainly wasted my time and money. read more

Truthfully, I would prefer to give FIVE STARS, but due to a recent experience, it wouldn't be right. I have personal experience with Doctors Brody, Wray and Alexander, they are fantastic!! Read on to find out why only 1 star... VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH DR. CASEY and the office staff!! My family and I have had a relationship with the Hailey, Brody, Casey & Wray Dermatologist firm for more than 10 years. We primarily visited with Dr. Brody, who is beyond excellent, which explains why his appointment book is always packed (be sure to call weeks in advance). I have had several appointments with Doctors Wray and Alexander; both are great as well. For my last appointment, due to full schedules for all three, I took my first and last appointment with Dr. Casey. Oh my gosh, what a disaster!! Though Dr. Casey performed the exam well and took some biopsies, during which I said I would prefer to avoid another MOHS surgery, because my last experience was disappointing: ended up costing double what I was originally told and the condition the procedure was to clear up, returned. As we finished up, Dr. Casey quickly ended the appointment, with his last words being "we have reached the end of our allotted time." I thought, hmm, that's an odd thing to say. A few days later, Dr. Casey's assistant called to inform me of the results and said Dr. Casey is directing the MOHS approach. I stopped her and reminded her that I was not comfortable with it and suggested she look in my records to see how other treatments have worked and that I would prefer we consider that or something else. Well, somehow this request really set them off. A few days later I received a call from the office Manager, stating "they are longer interested in continuing with me as a patient." WHAT!?! She went on to say "Dr. Casey has his own personal problems and does not need any more stress, it would be best if we send you your records and you find another dermatologist." I asked her to be very clear; "are you saying I can't make an appointment with ANY of the Doctors in the office?" To which she replied "Effectively, yes." WHAT!?! Initially, I thought, oh well, I guess I'll find another Dr. Then, as days have passed I realize this was kinda unfair. Basically, the deal is if the patient doesn't do what they're told, they're out!?! It seems to me like the personal problems need to be just that...personal and left at home. I've NEVER run across ANY Doctor who would act like this. BE CAREFUL with Dr. Casey and his staff and do what you're told - BEWARE!! read more

I have been going here for years , in the old days I would have awarded them 5 stars,unfortunately they seem to be going down hill the last couple of years. They seem to be much more interested in the cosmetic end of the practice these days. May last yearly screening was so lame that I am now searching for a new practice. At the end of my last visit, this thought came to me...... Maybe next year I will just mail my co pay check to the office and they can just phone my pharmacy with my yearly scrip renewals , and I can just stay home and save the time and gas I just wasted! read more

This is an excellent dermatologic practice. Our MD is Dr Wray. He and his assistant Tracy, are thorough, considerate, patient and very medically focused when evaluating skin conditions. I not only see Dr Wray myself, but now also take my children to him for dermatologic questions and yearly followup. My husband sees him as well, and we both have recommended him to countless peers who have had nothing but positive interactions. Horrible experience. I made an appointment on a Friday for 3:40pm as it was the last in the day and I wanted to take the least time off work possible. A few days before my appointment one of the receptionists told me I could print out all the first-time patient paperwork out beforehand to save time (or I could just fill it out when I arrive for my appointment). I took her advice and pre-printed and completed the paperwork. On the day of my appointment I got a little confused searching for the exact location and ended up walking in at 3:49pm (9 minutes late). I spoke with the receptionist on duty who told me the doctor would NOT see me because I was late. She also insisted with a not-so-pleasant attitude that I was TWENTY minutes late to which I promptly showed her the clock on my phone and told her she was not correct. I also pointed out the fact that I pre-filled my paperwork which would have taken me 10-15 minutes to do anyways had I arrived 9 minutes earlier at 3:40. She contentiously told me "Tough shit" (paraphrased) and said I would have to reschedule. No warmth, no sorry, no smiles... just a bad disposition for customer service. Although this receptionist was giving me the diva attitude, apparently the decision not to see me came from the doctor (I do not know which one). I was extremely annoyed because I had wasted my time and money taking off work to come here and I probably would have been OK had I been treated with more respect. But alas, I was not and these people will not be seeing a dime of my money. read more

EXTREMELY disappointed. This was my second visit to the office. First visit I waited almost an hour to be seen. This visit, I waited 40 minutes and then was told the doctor was 'running late' and would I like to wait another 20-30 minutes? No thank you. Done with Atlanta Dermatology. If I could bill the doctor for the hour I wasted, I would. I told them I wouldn't be back. As I was leaving, a woman in the waiting room said "I feel the same way. They're always running late." Courteous staff, but if the doctors can't be professional and respect the time of their patients, I won't give them any more of mine. read more

I LOVE Dr. Alexander and highly recommend him. He is kind and understanding and really listens to you unlike many doctors. The only problem is this: I made a visit where I paid out of pocket for services that are unable to be billed to my health care plan because they are elective & cosmetic. I paid on the spot $490 on my credit card and in cash a $10 copay. For 3 months they sent me invoice after invoice for the $10 copay. They wasted more money mailing me silly letters for $10 then the amount was worth. I specifically remember paying $10 in cash and instead of believing me and letting it go their billing person refuses to accept the fact that the error is on their end. I have spent over $1200 dollars there in the short time I have been a patient and to sweat $10 which I don't even think should have been collected since my insurance was NOT being billed and to charge an office appointment charge on top of the procedure charge is a bit much but then again they are a physician group. Great doctors just DON'T PAY IN CASH. Be ye warned. read more

I'm picky when it comes to doctors and especially dermatologists. I'm posting a review because I see so many mixed reviews about this practice. I went in today for my first appointment with Dr. Casey and I only have good things to share. He spent 20-30 minutes with me and was very informative but still had a good sense of humor. He worked with me financially as I am a full time student. They were very generous with samples as well as resources for finding good priced prescriptions. I went there on the referral of a friend and I would definitely refer others to their practice. As a cash patient the office visit was very reasonably priced as well. read more

Make sure you have several hours to spare when coming here. I have never been seen on time. Also, you are charged in full up front for your visit before they file it with insurance. Understandable, as they mentioned to me they have had issues with patients not paying. However, I had a $165 credit due to overpaying for a visit. No one called to inform me of the credit. I discovered it weeks later at a separate visit. Very shady, and not good business. I will not be back. read more

A friend of mine recommended me dr Casey. First time I visit was for acne problems and I had no problems, so I thought I'll keep going there. I called last week to make an appointment, which it was given to me for 11:20, I got there at 11:10 and filled out some paper work and then waited and waited. At 11:45 I went to the front desk and asked what was going on? And one of the receptionist tells me that Dr Casey is running a little behind and that I need to wait another 40 minutes or so. As far as my concern, this is terrible costumer service and no patient should have to wait for more than 30 minutes at a dr's office. I had to find a baby sitter to be able to go to this appointment, I don't have all day to sit at this place and wait to be seen for over an hour. No body ever told me anything, they just expected me to sit there and wait. I'm really disappointed because I liked Dr. Casey, but because they treated me like this I am never going back there again!!!! read more

This is by far the worst run doctor's office that I have ever experienced. I did not even know that you could run a business in this fashion and still be in business. I made an appointment and realized that I had a conflict so I called back less than 5 minutes after I made the appointment and changed it. Apparently this time was never changed in their system and they called to say that I had missed my appointment and that I owed them $75....WAY more than my $20 co-pay. They basically called me a liar and have refused to drop the charge. This was NOT my fault and it is an awful feeling being bullied into paying a charge that should of never been charged to the customer. read more

These guys are creepy. I have been there once and that is going to be the last time as well. When making the appointment receptionist told me that I will probably have to get a skin biopsy done. I didn't think anything of it at the time. I went in and during the checkup the Dr. mentioned that I don't have to but I should get a biopsy done. After a nurse used the micro cookie cutter on my shoulder (around which I didn't have any skin problem) I started to doubt the reason behind the procedure (is that the right word for it?). When I didn't even hear back at all from the Dr.'s office regarding the results and the more I thought about it, it made me feel violated. The feeling I had when I was in the office, the fact that I hadn't even told the receptionist about what I was seeing the Dr. for and she was pushing the biopsy procedure. The way Dr. didn't exactly force me to do it but suggested it (am I going to say no to something that is going to most likely help me). It's hard to explain but hopefully someone will read this and question the Doctors here when they highly recommend doing some procedure that doesn't make sense. read more

This is the worst Dr's office I have ever gone to. Although Dr. Alexander is pleasant, there is no confidence in any diagnosis given to me and his answer was always a cortisone shot that did nothing for the hives that I was eventually diagnosed with. His "rushed" biopsy took 7 days, the nurse wouldn't call me back to give me a status on when I might receive the results and I basically had to stalk them until they finally relented on giving me a call. During this call, I was then told that I should go to my PCP for further treatment. I called my doctor to get an appointment and then called this office back and when I asked them to fax over my lab results to my primary doctor, I was told that they would would be faxed by the next morning before my appointment. Because I have no trust in them, I asked if I could just pick them up before close of business, and was then told that two hours was not enough time for them to pull my file for me to pick it up and I was assured again that I they would be faxed. Are you kidding me? You need more than two hours to pull my file? That's the most ridiculous argument I have ever heard. Of course, when I went to my primary doctor in the morning, there was no fax and four days later, we are still waiting. Please, save yourself the frustration and avoid this office. read more
