The dining room is light and inviting. We were immediately greeted by a friendly host. The kitchen is partially open so on our way to our table, we saw one of the chefs pulling the noodles. (Very fun for kids and adults I might add!) For starters, we ordered some boba tea. Not sure how often the flavors rotate, but you will have to ask for their flavors of the day. They had mango, taro, and Thai tea when we came in. We had the mango with colorful boba (more similar to a jelly IMO) and taro with brown sugar boba. Both were delicious, not too sweet. Beverly took great care of us the moment we sat down! Being that it was our first visit, she guided us around the menu and gave us suggestions along the way. We wanted to try the Deep Sea but unfortunately they were out. However, per Beverly's suggestion we ordered the Shrimp Tempura and it was very good. The tempura was well seasoned and the fry was crispy but not dry. We also had the Cream Cheese Wontons, Panfried Colorful Dumplings Combo and Beef Roll. Personally, of the four dumpling fillings, beef was my favorite. All four starters are a good choice, but if you leave without trying the Beef Roll, you are doing yourself a disservice. My recommendation from best to still very good: Beef Roll Shrimp Tempura Panfried Colorful Dumplings Cream Cheese Wontons For our main dish (only had room for one after all our starters), we ordered the Black Garlic Oil Ramen with pork belly. This ramen bowl is massive. We barely made a dent in it and we thought they would have to roll us out of the restaurant. The pork belly was also nicely seared thicker cut; none of that thin and overcooked pork belly some ramen places use. I am afraid I will not be trying their other ramen bowl simply because I loved this one so much that I cannot imagine eating here and not getting this black garlic ramen. The custard bao caught our eye so we had to order it to go. (This was when we considered whether we should have ordered less starters. The thought was fleeting as we are looking forward to all the leftovers in the fridge.) I was nervous that the custard would be overwhelmingly sweet. About 25 minutes later, I get to the place and pick up the order and then get back to my hotel where I grub down. Both the dumplings and noodles are tasty good. The dumplings came in multiple colors with a nice crust on the bottom and packed with filling. I got caught off guard with the extra fried dough-residue attached to the dumplings but it didn't bother me. The order comes with 2 dumplings each of beef onion, pork scallion, chicken, and vegetable. The combo noodles has chicken, beef, and shrimp mixed in with onions and peppers and a soy-based sauce. IT's a hefty portion that gave me lunch for the next day. I'll have to try the noodle soups and other dumplings next time I'm here. Overall a solid asian eats spot in Lafayette.

I decided to give them a try under the new name. It was no different. The positives is that everyone is pretty friendly and the place is clean and orderly. I will say that both times i went I tried the buffet so maybe the food is tastier from the menu. I tried several different items on the buffet and just found that it really lacked flavor. The best item was the fresh spring rolls but I was disappointed that they don't have that good peanut butter sauce to go with them. Instead, they offer what seems to be a sweet & sour sauce from a jar. The noodles were dry and bland. Both of the curry sauces were watery and didn't have much flavor at all. The meats (chicken & beef) are the typical Chinese buffet style meats instead of pieces of chicken that look like chicken. The cucumber soup and the coconut soup are both savory (just fyi). The mango sticky rice with coconut sauce dessert-not a fan at all and coconut and mango are two of my favorite flavors. Overall, it was a decent experience; no regrets for giving it a try. But, I definitely won't go again. Sad, too, because I REALLY wanted to love it!

When you sit down you can check off what you would like to order just like a dim sum house which was nice, man's so try one of the non alcoholic beverages. The food was good especially the Bao buns, the Dan Dan Noodles were different from what I've had, more of a peanut butter flavor but still good, the fried shrimp was crust was harder than I would like. The pot stickers had good flavor. This location is well on its way too becoming a fixture as the experience builds. We look forward to returning

The card is used to indicate type of noodles, either ''Udon" or Italian, as desired, at the time of beverage ordering. Then one goes through a buffet-style bar to select their desired ingredients from an extensive array of raw seafood, fowl, meats, veggies, spices, etc. Those are then given to a cook, diners are re-seated, and in about 5 minutes waitstaff serve the concoction. The mix is about as oily as regular Oriental restaurant fair, but w/o massive amounts of sugar, salt, or MSG. One can add additional spices as desired, initially, or at the table. It was very tasty and filing. This is not "diet food" & the amount served is tres-grand, so you'll most likely need a doggie box. For us elders, each serving makes some 3 or 4 meals. This is not a "cheap lunch", but one does get full value. A major advantage is that everyone gets to choose everything they are to eat. Do not discount that feature, it is great. Pleasant surroundings, nice waitstaff, clean restrooms. Parking in front center lot, little shade. As this is on one of our "usual travel routes"; I'll surely go back again a few times per year.
