I happened upon this awesome little mom no' pop run by Florence and her husband. They are originally from the motherland, Ghana. They opened up this shop to offer authentic African and Caribbean foods, items and clothing. Florence welcomed me loudly with a big smile, giving me a personal tour if the store and it's unique items such as smoked shrimp, fufu, matching hair wraps / face mask combos, real Shea butter, black soap etc. We talked a bot and realize that we have friends im common. Small world. I would recommend everyone come in and take a gander at all the cool items, authentic American herbs and food items. She is the #1 provider of authentic Shea butter and has legit black soap. This business is a great asset to the community and Florence is active in improving the area. ...... When stress begins to overwhelm and wear down even the most positive of people, it's great to have a stranger perform even a small act of kindness. I was helped out by an employee named Sydney when my doctor had sent over a prescription they didn't have in stock. I've been using this same Walgreens for about 4 years, this has never happened. Sydney went above & beyond to contact other pharmacies to see who had it available, then called my doctor to transfer it. Sydney then called me back, leaving a voicemail of my options and nearest location to pick up from. In trying times like this, while short-staffed, and probably over-worked.. She proactively made sure I was taken care of. I can't thank you enough Sydney! The rest of the staff has always been personable, accommodating, patient over the years & I thank you all for that! Your efforts don't go unnoticed!

    I've been going to this location for probably 15 years and in the last year or so the service has…read moregone down hill so much. Specifically the pharmacy staff has been rude, unhelpful, inconsistent and inaccurate with providing info on when prescriptions are ready. I've always submitted a request a few days early so it's a smooth refill for me, but they let requests sit there for days, and the last 2 months alone I've called to get an update and that's when they've given inaccurate ready times, so I'm left chasing down a person to talk to again when all I want to do is plan my errands accordingly. This evening Sarah was probably the rudest I've spoken to, trying to rush me off the phone with a mumbled "we'll do it tomorrow". I asked if there's a timeframe I should follow (I often submit early to again keep it easy for myself, and also plan ahead for traveling), and I got another rude and defensive remark that landed with "fine I'll have it by 7p" -- sooo, this arbitrary wait time was not necessary!? I know they may be busy, and also have requirements to only refill certain meds after a certain time frame, but the lack of customer service and communication has fallen off completely! At the very least, make the communication in the app clearer as to why there's a delay for 3+ days.

    I am giving a 2 because of the pharmacist.. at least one professional in this dept. I am from out…read moreof town (Ohio)and take blood pressure meds. I was coming to the end of stash... over 30 days in AZ. I have had meds from Walgreens before. I called Friday 12... the process is the Walgreens call the Ohio Pharmacy to transfer order. With 3 hr time difference..Did not get to them before closing. I actually went to AZ pharmacy Pharmacist called even over the weekend that I still needed b/ p meds. Yes I have missed now and blood pressure 202/83 and 170/92 respectfully I called first thing on Monday, spoke with female... she was very nonchalant and appeared not interested in my story. Now Tuesday arrived since I received text med "in processing" now it appears it is filled at a different location. Very poor customer service!! Also can contribute to do harm to people. Some do not be working in healthcare!!!

    I was on hold about a simple prescription question for 8 minutes, then one of the staff picked up…read morethe phone just to slam it back down to hang up and end the call. I'm a 100% disabled Marine Scout Sniper that just had ankle surgery with 3 screws and a plate for a service connected injury. While I am writing this review, I'm currently on hold and have been for an additional 6 minutes and counting trying to figure out why someone disconnected the call. I just need my pain meds, this is completely unacceptable.
