I'm so glad that I found Brenda! Trust me when I say, she can work with SO MANY hair types. I've had 3 other stylists before Brenda, yet they're great in their own ways but I wanted one that had it ALL which is being awesome in cut, color, and service. I'm glad she can get this Asian girl as blonde as she can get without destroying it. I trust Brenda because she knows what she's talking about and every color she put me on looks bomb. She knows how to work her magic and she knows what's best to keep your hair healthy so you don't kill the crap out of it. From what I've learned in the past, you need a stylist that uses the right products! Brenda appreciates her clients so you don't feel like a burden asking for appointments (strangely enough, I've experienced that with a stylist), she knows what's good for your hair type (another stylist that didn't know my hair and couldn't make me blonde), and she has the best products (again, another stylist that made my hair turned bright yellow). Anyway, no other professional hairstylist can work that type of magic like Brenda! One last thing, love thy hairstylist and don't give them a hard time by box dying your hair pitch black and then expecting platinum blonde on your first session. BEWARE!!! Brenda is the rudest person I've ever encountered at a salon. We only met for 2 minutes before we decided to end the appointment. Backstory: I could tell she was a little rude or cold in her text messages when we were making the appointment but I brushed it off because she had good reviews. The night before the appointment, she asked me to change my appointment time the from 9am to 1030am which I agreed to. On the day of, I was running behind, so I let her know I would be 10 minutes late and apologized. When I arrived, I was actually only 8 minutes behind. When she opened the door, I greeted her but she did not look at me in the eyes and started talking about how now all her appointments were going to be behind because of me and she already had to move everyone the day before. It was the rudest greeting I've ever had. She was already annoyed with me before we met and was so OBVIOUS about it. I asked her if she wanted me to leave and she said yes and returned my deposit. I'm glad I dodged a bullet. Doesn't matter how good someone does hair if they treat you this way. I'm just so sad because I was really looking forward to a hair change. read more

Brenda is a hair wizard. I've known about her for years and I regret not going to her sooner. I've been to so many places who have butchered my hair with bad hair cuts and bad dye jobs and I didn't even know it was bad because they are the experts. It wasn't until I saw a picture of the back of my head and was horrified by what I saw. I've always followed Brenda on Instagram and saw she does wonders to dark hair that want to go blonde so I messaged her for a consultation. Brenda worked her magic and transformed my gross hair into a piece of art. She has done so much for my hair making it fabulous with extensions (beaded and tape in) and getting it to the blonde I wanted. If you want good quality work done, go to Brenda. She will tell you straight up if it's possible to what you want to do and make suggestions to do alternatives if what you want doesn't work out. I trust Brenda with my hair and now that I know what a good hairstylist looks like, I won't go to anyone else. I live in Westminster and I will drive to Redondo just to see her because it's worth it. I've always wanted to go blonde and the first stylist I went to said that was the blondest I could go. I've read that if you have box dyed your hair then it's really hard to go to full blonde so I believed the first stylist. I went for a touch up and she was able to get me a little blonder but more caramelly color and it looked nice but I was never really satisfied because I had my heart set on blonde and she said FOR SURE I could never get blonder than that. I saw her again on New Years to tone my hair and cut it. I left her chair a brassy mess. But what could I do? Time went on and I was working at a tournament and someone had taken a picture with my back facing the camera. I was mortified. It looked like someone had put a hat on my head and bleached around it AND IT WAS YELLOW. I was so embarrassed by what I saw and immediately started looking to get it fixed. That's when I remembered Brenda was really good with fixing blonde and getting hair to really blonde. I messaged her on Instagram, got a consultation, and made an appointment ASAP. She took my brassy hair and turned it to an icy blonde. HUGE transformation. Not only did she fix my brassy hair and bowl cut dye, she brought me to a blonde that I was told I would never reach. I had short hair/ a-line cut and wanted to make it dramatic. Brenda put in beaded extensions to make it the way I wanted and no one knew I had extensions despite people seeing me the day before with short hair. She made them look natural. Then I wanted longer hair. She arranged my extensions to spread it all over. The beaded extensions were great and I loved them but after a while it was weighing down my hair, but I can't live without extensions. We decided to put tape in extensions and make my hair longer and blonder. We were worried I might not be able to go blonder because it might damage my hair, but Brenda was able to make my hair blonder and keep it healthy. I LOVE MY HAIR. She uses this purple toner that is so beautiful and then washes down to a lavender to eventually blonde. I have gotten so many complements on my hair and my hair game has never been so strong. If someone is calling I'd say it's safe to say that it's to make an appointment so not sure about the confusion. Secondly I ask if she is a stylist and she doesn't say yes. Then She goes into a speech about how she's not a salon, um no one said you were. And then continues to be annoyed and ask me what I want. An appointment obviously use your head. Found my new stylist Brenda through ig and I love what shes done with my hair! I had never had my hair processed before my 1st session with Brenda but she made me feel super comfortable with her knowledge and was very informative on what she would do with my hair. I made a huge jump from dark brown virgin hair to blonde and she was able to lighten it so much and still keep my hair feeling healthy, strong and soft to the touch! Brenda is amazing! I have been following her for 6+ years. She's the only person I trust with my hair, especially when it comes to going blonde. I went in 2 days ago because I had gotten my hair done somewhere else months ago (because I live 6 hours away) and it came out looking horrible. Liked the work when I left the salon but it was an illusion, after the first wash, I was totally bamboozled as the toner completely left my hair and exposed some overbleeched and coppery hair. I asked for highlights and got a baylage instead. But one that goes directly from brown to blonde no smooth transitions just a crown of bleach down. Why pay hundreds of dollars for a color job when it all goes away after the first wash to reveal a bad bleach job? When I mentioned to Brenda about that I was unhappy with my hair and asked that we please revisit it to fix it, she became very defensive and nasty in text, in fact she didn't even return my communications just blocked me as I was wanting to give her a chance to fix it and even willing to pay a bit more money for her time, but instead she just became petty. And As a client I find that immensely unprofessional, this is a service industry, if a client is unhappy, you work with them, not say they are crazy and shut them out.
