I love this place. It's easy to miss as it's a small salon boxed in between a car sales lot and dry cleaners on the other end. The ladies there are always friendly! Services are reasonably priced. Before going I would try to book an appointment, they get pretty busy. However I have just done a walk-in before and my wait was not long. I have scheduled appointments with other salons and waited an hour to be seen. There's no pressure to get specific services nor products. Aka Angry Dominican hair salon. I had high hopes for this place but it's an absolute ripoff. I should've known since there were no price listed anywhere in the shop! I called ahead of time and was told that they charge $15 starting off for a KIDS haircut. Ok, that's fine. My daughter requested side layers and the stylist was done in about 5 mins. No wash, nothing. They wanted to charge me $40!!! That's ridiculous!! For a child with thin hair and no wash or blowout? Are you kidding me? I got the price down to $30 and tipped 5. I'm very upset and mostly disappointed. I had made an appointment to get a blow out with denise, Denise wasn't there and then there was someone different washing my hair and I saw her making faces behind my back to another woman. She started brushing my hair dry which you can't do with my hair (very curly and thick) I told her that and even when other workers told her that she was annoyed and kept doing it for a minute and then finally wet my hair .. After I did the steamer with deep conditioner they put me under the dryer which I didn't understand why .. Stephanie told me 20 mins and I ended up being under there for 40 mins and I believe they were going to let it go longer.. I walked out. Place was super expensive. I made an appointment for my daughter and the hairdresser got there 20 minutes late. They barely spoke to my daughter and the coloring that they overcharged for faded in less than a week. I will not go there again read more

I was extremely pleased with the customer service at Hermosa. It was such a delightful experience and I will most certainly be back! All the ladies were friendly and diligent. My hair turned out beautifully! I love the fact that there are so many coupons and deals available. I never had pin curls that lasted so long. The scalp massage was divine. As a woman with natural hair, it was super refreshing to be tended to the way that I was, as many salons look to up-charge. I am so happy this was where I ended up. I just moved here from California and haven't allowed anybody to touch my hair that so badly needed to be touched. very upset with the service I received today......I went here to get my hair colored and I had an appoinment and I sat and waited for over 40 mins just sitting ...while my stylist was coloring someone else, so she double booked... then when it was time for my hair to be curled she took another customer that came in after I did... then when I went to leave I noticed the front of hair was not washed good because it was still flakey from my weave being taken out , service was rushed because it was packed .... very angy for this level of service when I paid over $100.00! read more
