After 5.5 hours and $350 + tip, my gray hairs in the front were still completely visible--the main reason I came in. When I brought it up, I was told I should have specifically asked for gray coverage, which should be part of a basic consultation or at minimum asking the client if this is something they want. I also had uneven, patchy highlights. I returned the next day for a fix, requested a different stylist, and was denied. They said the same person could fix it all they needed to do was tone it down a bit, and cover the greys The "correction" resulted in my hair being taken darker overall, with the highlights essentially gone. I paid for highlights and left with dark hair. They told me eventually it should lighten down but I'm not seeing any improvement it's still really dark. To make matters worse I also left with visible dye on my forehead something I wouldn't expect after paying this price at a salon. Very disappointing experience and not one I would recommend I honestly wanted to cry. I really would have expected a partial refund or a proper correction by a more experienced stylist.

I have very kinky, curly hair, and she knows exactly how to work with it. She is incredibly patient, takes her time, and is very detailed when sectioning and styling my hair. Whether I'm getting a blowout and flat iron or having my hair colored, she always makes sure the final result looks beautiful and polished. What I appreciate most is that Hana never makes me feel rushed. She truly puts care into her work, and it shows every single time. I always leave the salon feeling refreshed, pretty, and like I have a whole new confidence. She is genuinely talented with both styling and color, and I'm so happy I found her :)

I specifically asked for a balayage, and the stylist said she understood. About 20 minutes in, I started noticing that she wasn't doing anything close to the balayage technique I've had done many times before. Everything was going way too fast, so I mentioned my concern. Long story short, I ended up with highlights, not a balayage. The service itself was also extremely messy. She got product on my jeans and even managed to get dye inside my ear. What upset me even more was that the bleach was left on my hair for way too long, which ended up damaging my hair and causing breakage. So not only did I leave without the balayage I asked for, I left with damaged hair. I spoke with Andrew afterward and explained how disappointed I was. He told me to call back if I wanted them to fix it. I did exactly that and left a message. I was told he would call me back, but I never heard from him. Very disappointing experience from beginning to end. If you're going here for a balayage, I would seriously reconsider. There is a big difference between balayage and highlights, and unfortunately, that difference didn't seem to be understood here. Now I'm left dealing with damaged, broken hair on top of paying for a service I didn't ask for. I definitely won't be returning.

We were the only customer inside so the moment my wife walked inside, a lady came to help her. My wife told her she was looking for hair extensions for our maternity picture soon and also our baby shower. So she told my wife to take a seat and started showing her the different extensions. There was no charge while she was doing this and my wife was there for maybe twenty minutes. She give her a quote on how much it would be and my wife like the prices. I had seen all the amazing reviews, looked through the salon's Instagram, and even checked out Tristy's page beforehand. I remember thinking, "Her work looks pretty good." Since I specifically wanted layers, I booked with her because she was recommended for them. Looking back, I couldn't have been more wrong. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted: long, blended layers, a U-shaped cut, lots of movement, and face framing. I also made it very clear that I did not want a V-cut or choppy layers because I didn't want my ends looking thin. I repeated this several times, and she kept saying she understood. While Tristy was nice, I honestly felt like she was trying to get through the appointment as quickly as possible. I had even arrived early, but the consultation still felt rushed when I was explaining exactly how I wanted my hair. The salon itself was nice and had a good atmosphere, so I honestly felt like I was in good hands. After she finished, she gave me a full round-brush blowout and took a picture of the back of my hair. It looked great, and I left the salon happy. When I checked out, though, I was charged $150 (almost $170 with tip) instead of the $100 I had originally been quoted. The extra charge was never explained, but since I liked how my hair looked at the time, I assumed it was because of my hair length and didn't question it. The first time I washed and dried my hair myself, my heart honestly sank. The layers were uneven, choppy, disconnected, and looked much closer to a V-cut than the U-cut I had specifically asked for. The back had movement, but it wasn't soft or seamless. Before anyone says, "That's just how layers look," no, they don't. Layers can have movement without looking choppy. Mine didn't. What upset me the most wasn't just the money. It was spending almost $170 and still NOT getting the haircut I asked for. I had spent months growing my hair out because I wanted a beautiful layered haircut. Instead, I lost length, ended up with uneven layers, and walked away with hair that looked nothing like what I had envisioned. I eventually went to another salon just to fix it. Ironically, I left that salon happier than I ever left this one. I'm writing this because I relied on the "good 4+ stars" reviews and Instagram before booking, and my experience was completely different. Tristy was nice, but being nice doesn't make up for a bad haircut. I wouldn't recommend her to my closest friend, let alone anyone looking for layers. If you care about your hair and you're booking for layers, don't book with Tristy. This was, without a doubt, the worst salon haircut I've ever had.
