I went from hip length hair that was curled, to bra strap length straightened. I went in for a trim. I'm astonished that they still have her working here working with people , not only a horrible hairstylist but she has horrible customer service skills , and so does staff. This is a review for SHEENA. This salon has many independent stylists and you should get reviews…read morefor each because the salon itself has very little control over the experience. I researched salons to instal hand-tied extensions for 5 months before finding Sheena. I wanted someone knowledgeable in technique and multiple brands, reasonably priced, and flexible with my schedule. In my experience, this combination is * v e r y * hard to find. She promptly booked me for a consultation and immediately made me feel at ease by asking a ton of questions about my lifestyle, what look I was going for, and my maintenance expectation. When I say she asked me detailed questions about everything, I mean everything. It was the only consultation where I left and I felt like the stylist and I were on the exact same page. We booked my install for 3 weeks later and she ordered my hair when I said I was ready to work with her. On install day, she got to the salon before it technically opened and we were able to talk and work in peace without the hustle of a normal hair salon. She worked efficiently and swiftly to always keep the process moving. Even when my color was developing, she was arranging the extensions perfectly for the most effortless install. All in all, I was in the chair for 5 hours and left with the most STUNNING hair. Truly, I got the hair of my dreams. Best yet? There was a small problem with one of the installs, and she saw me the next day to fix it and recurled my hair free of charge. Couldn't say enough wonderful things about Sheena and I am eager to sit in her chair again.

Unfortunately I put my trust in Jen to do my hair color. I showed her many photos of what I wanted…read more I wanted an ombré with darkish ash blonde tones. Instead I am left with fried brittle orange and white blonde uneven hair. She said my hair would not be damaged if she did a deep conditioning treatment so I went ahead and did the second lighting treatment. I am so disappointed that a hair professional would put me through this. I don't understand if you are not able to do what the client wanted, then why do it?! Now I am stuck with this hair until months I can fix it. My hair is already short so I can't clip it off. So now I called the manager and am waiting for a call back. The point is, if you can't give the client want they are looking for then be honest...my hair is not just a bad color but it is completely damaged. I am so disappointed in this salon. Never again will I be returning here, and hopefully no other client will have to go through this.

I am going to just start off with the most basic low rated review and just say, if i could give…read morethis "salon" less than 1 star i would do so. me and my mom had needed last minute hair shampoos and blow outs for an event that night, we understand a last minute booking isn't ideal and weren't expecting, "hollywood red carpet" do's. just a simple, slick back PONY TAIL for me, and a pony tail with some volume for my mom. at first everything was well, shampoo was amazing, however it just went down hill FAST from there. Both of us expressed concerns throughout the process however, we were met with "don't worry trust the process" and "we know what we are doing". which i figured they did. At the end of the "process", we had both been un happy with our do's, Both of us were given a hair style that was EXACTLY like what we came in with, messy pony tail, not slicked AT ALL, and my moms which wasn't voluminous, just plain flat. As we started to express our concerns, my hair stylist Mariah, i believe, became very obviously agitated, and stormed off. Any professional would want to make this right, but we're told we would have to pay for a whole other "do" if we wanted it to be right. We agreed that we should only pay for our shampoo and blow dry, not for the attitude and sloppy mess. manager Ana was very kind and agreed, despite my hair dresser talking over us, blaming us for her disgraceful work. will NOT be returning, and i do not recommend this hair salon.

She was really personable and made it super comfortable, switching from having conversation and then having comfortable silence when I needed it! I'm so excited to be able to have her do my hair even after she graduates later this year! I got an all over color to my natural hair, and it looks so good! I think it's important to note that they are students, and if you want to pay the cheaper price you have to be understanding and showing grace at the fact they will confer with their teachers. But even so, I enjoyed my experience especially when they gave me tips about my hair, the bang length for my facial structure, etc!

10:30 a.m. Hailey was ready to cut my hair. I have a chair, approved by my doctor, Dr. James…read moreDeStephens, that I use while waiting for total hip replacement scheduled for August 14, 2024. The chair is low and allows my feet to be squarely on the ground. If my legs dangle, there is excruciating pain in my damaged hip. The special chair I use was first approved by Dr. DeStephens for my personal use during a state testing exam and I will include Dr. DeStephen's letter here. Hailey, the cosmetology student, was already brushing my hair, getting ready to cut it. She understood that I needed to remain in my own chair as an ADA accommodation. When suddenly, out of nowhere, an instructor with a Hispanic accent (I didn't catch her name, so that's how I am identifying her) came over and became very long- winded and immediately argumentative with me, insisting that I MUST climb into the tall beauty school chair. I explained that I cannot do that. She rebutted, asking how did I lift the chair out of my car and insisting that if I lifted the special chair out of my car then I must be able to sit in the beauty school chair for "safety". I explained to her that my chair is safe and I demonstrated its sturdiness. She then said she would not tolerate rudeness when SHE was the only one being rude. She huffed off to get another instructor/supervisor. I left. I asked Google when I returned home, "Is a beauty salon supposed to accommodate a handicapped person?" The answer: Yes, hair salons are considered places of public accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and must be ADA compliant. And here also: https://www.phorest.com/blog/salon-spa-services-clients-disabilities/#:~:text=Treat%20a%20person%20with%20a,as%20you%20address%20other%20adults. Her rudeness and control freak mode was extremely offensive. Several students looked on as she prattled on and on, obviously embarrassed by the instructor's heavy-handed treatment of me. They all remained silent, obviously intimidated by her presence. I will also file this complaint with the BBB for all to see. By the way, I used to work as a seminar leader teaching customer service skills for Dun and Bradstreet Business Educational Services. The instructor's behavior was appalling. She needs training in customer service skills. I also filed an official complaint with ADA for this beauty academy's non-compliance. Date of incident: June 3, 2024.

I had met Dawn through a few friends who said she was wonderful, so I thought I would give it a try! When I first pulled up to the building I was a little apprehensive, because the outside looks small and older. However, upon entering I was pleasantly surprised! The inside was light, open and smelled wonderful! Dawn's room was upstairs, so be prepared for a couple steps! Dawn was so sweet, gentle and kind! She was patient with me helping me decide on the color to choose, and whether I wanted gel or regular. She was so thorough in describing each of my options! I have had quite a few manicures, but never one as relaxing, luxurious and friendly as this one! It was like a spa treatment! She not only painted my nails but massaged my hands, fixed my cuticles, exfoliated my hands and arms and then moisturized! The pedicure looks like it would be even more relaxing - there was a huge chair and all types of fun stuff! I will have to go back for that soon! The room smelled of lavender, there was gently music playing, happy posters and sayings on the walls, and at the end she gave me the buffer and nail file, which was very sweet. Dawn was so wonderful and thoughtful that she even walked me all the way out to my car and buckled me in so I wouldn't hurt my nails! If you are looking for a lovely, relaxing nail treatment I highly recommend Dawn at Studio B, she will make your day 100 times better!
