Karen is super fun and always does exactly what you want and makes it even better than you expect. She also did my hair for my wedding and I trusted her to do whatever she thought would look good and it was perfect. Jackie is also an awesome stylist specializing in color, cuts, highlights, balayage, keratin treatments, and Brazilian blowouts! She has a fun flare to her style and will add a pop of color or edgy cut if interested! Ember and John are the owners and they are awesome and both cut, color and style. Jenny, Bev, and Siobhan are also great stylists and super friendly every time I'm there. Where to start -- 1.) my haircut took over two hours and 90…read moreminutes of it was Courtney blow drying my hair? Like she had to rewet my hair with a spray bottle to blow dry it because the blow dry took so long because she wanted it pin straight and flat even though I told her before she started cutting that I don't like my naturally curly hair blown pin straight or hanging down in my face. I can appreciate quality takes time but... 2.) I asked to keep my length, layers in the back that started at the crown of my head and kept graduating down (lots of layers) and heavy curtain bangs with face framing layers in the front. Courtney took off four inches after we discussed how she didn't see any damage in my ends, one barely there layer in the back, no face framing, and less than a quarter inch of bangs on either side that are crooked. The left side skims my cheekbone. The right side "bang" goes under my chin. Should I have complained right then and there? Probably but then Courtney would have wanted another 2 hours and a chance to fix it and I wasn't letting her near my head again. So I paid (and like a well trained sucker tripped 30%) and went home to find another salon to fix the disaster tomorrow. I wish her well, maybe she can get better with experience and a good mentor that explains that it's about the haircut the client wants and not the haircut she wants to do but as it stands I'd feel guilty sending my worst childhood bully to this salon for a haircut with Courtney and that's saying something because I'm kinda low key petty Adding -- after leaving a review on google the salon responded (you can see in their google reviews) that basically it's not their fault, it's a me problem that they gave me a crooked haircut and they "wished me well". Not even an attempt to apologize, refund my money or make it right in any way. Apparently accountability is another service that Vie doesn't offer at her salon, along with professionalism, integrity and the ability to cut a straight set of bangs.
