I think she really goes the extra mile to make sure I'm going to be happy with my hair. The most recent time I went to see her, we were removing my extensions and touching up my roots. I had a plan to chop off some bleached parts that were super grown out at the ends. She took the time to convince me that she would be chopping off a lot of hair and I wouldn't like how short it would end up. I was around the area like 5 min away and decided to get a haircut to kill time, made a few calls and it lead me to her. I thought color-blindness skipped a generation, but apparently not. I've only gone to 2 other professional hair stylists and honestly, Kimmy is my favorite so far. She is so welcoming, and I usually get a lot of anxiety when meeting new people but she made it easy for me. The bleaching process was kind of painful since I have eczema and dandruff, but she accommodated for it and didn't make me feel ashamed or uncomfortable about it. In general, I hate to write negative reviews, and struggled with this one for a couple of weeks. But every time I looked at my hair, I hated it so much! This is my worst haircut for many years. Kimmy is the one! A friend recommended Kimmy after running into a girl with stunning hair at H Mart and finding out who her hairstylist is. Needless to say, your work speaks for itself when random people are asking who does your hair. Kimmy added babylights to cover up my grays and a root melt. Kimmy is the BEST decision I ever made when choosing my hairstylist. If you want silver, beautiful blonde, or any color of the rainbow she will get you there! I love her honesty and how she keeps it soo real when explaining the process to getting the hair of your dreams. She is such a gem and I wouldn't dare to go to anyone else because she has such amazing talent. She is also such a caring person and really gives that TLC towards her clients. My first visit with her I came in with box dyed hair from not being able to get my hair done. My hair had been silver before, but after putting a brown toner and covering that up with black box dye it was looking like a hot mess. My hair was super brassy and the life of my hair had gone away. We did a global session and she paid special attention to those brassy areas that were so stubborn and didn't lift as well. To my surprise, my hair lifted to blonde much more than I thought it would and we toned it out to the pretty silver ash blonde I have today. (She is literal magic!) But the best part was how beautiful the fading process was. She is super knowledgeable about products and recommended some things to me which I bought online or in local stores. And every time anyone sees me they always ask me if I got my hair done again, but I tell them that's just how it turned out when I washed it lol. That's just how amazing her work is! Yes it might look picture perfect when you get out of the salon, but the real test is how it starts looking weeks after. My hair has so much shine and still looks really healthy. I can't thank her enough! I've never really had a hairstylist who made me feel comfortable enough until I found Kimmy. So far I've gone in to get my hair done twice and will continue to go back!
