I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am for Leo at O' Salon. He has always been incredible to me from the very beginning. He answers the phone almost immediately every time I call, always texts to confirm appointments, and somehow manages to make time for me even when his schedule is completely full. This last visit meant more to me than he probably knows. I had just been laid off from my job and had an important interview the next day. I felt overwhelmed and stressed and knew I needed a haircut to feel even a little more confident going into it. Even though Leo was fully booked for days, he offered to see me two and a half hours after his normal closing time. After a long day of work, he still welcomed me with kindness, patience, and warmth and took incredible care of me without ever making me feel rushed or like an inconvenience. When I went to pay at the end of the appointment, Leo stopped me and told me he was taking care of my haircut because of what I was going through. That moment genuinely brought me to tears. In a time when I was feeling really low, his generosity and compassion meant everything to me. Leo is not only an incredibly talented stylist, but a genuinely good human being. Making an appointment is so easy and convenient! I simply text to request an appointment which is then followed by a text or call from Leo (depending on if you will get your hair colored) then we schedule! He asked me to share some reference pictures, and confirmed over the phone, text, and in person that the color and length for my hair was indeed what I wanted! My hair left healthier, rejuvenated, and feeling so fresh! During each hair coloring session he is gentle with hair washing/massaging, as well as with heat tools. I have also grown comfortable to ask for Leo's recommendations if I am every hesitant! Ugh it has officially been 1.5 months since my haircut and my hair still looks TERRIBLE!! I'm really disappointed with my hair and there's honestly no salvaging it, I'll just have to wait for it to grow out... which will take I'm assuming 3-4 more months looking at how short it was cut. The Service: When the hair stylist is also the owner of the salon, I know I am getting good service!! Leo is very friendly and sweet to his customers. I feel very welcoming. He also teaches at the beauty school so he is very knowledgeable. He gives good recommendation and doesn't upselling me for something I don't need. The Treatment: I have split end problem. So he recommends to do the Brazilian Blowout Instant Split End Correction. This treatment will repair and protect for up to 4 weeks. Right after the treatment, I can feel the texture of my hair is so much better! Want to have beautiful hair... definitely need to give it some TLC~ The Parking: Private parking lot right next to the salon (free). Great experience. Found this place by searching Yelps local haircut places. I needed both my kid's hair cuts and to my surprise the stylist over delivered! He was quick, yet did a great job. And all for a fair price. One of my boys is special needs so it's always a challenge whenever we cut his hair. This stylist was an absolute gem on the way he dealt with my son. He was patient and was able to get him to calm down half way thru. In the end when I brought the boys back home the family loved how good they both looked. So it was a win win for everyone. This was my first time going here cause one of my friends recommended me to come here to get the style and color I want. I always wanted to get the vivid magenta purple look that is very popular in 2018 but can never find the right place until I came to Leo. He has the right coloring and style of cutting. He is very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. New do for the summer thanks to Leo. The facility is new and clean in the hidden quiet old town of Arcadia right next to First Ave middle school. Lots of free parking either on residential streets or lot adjacent the studio. Leo was great about explaining to me any concerns with my new cut. I was worried about it being short and flaring out. He address those concerns that I shouldn't cut shorter than the shoulder and really helped alleviate the heaviness with all the hair I have at the bottom. Would come back for future cuts! read more

I've gotten haircuts from Leo several times in the past, even before this new location. Every time it's always been spot on. He's very experienced and knowledgeable and friendly. He's given me suggestions on how to better suit my face shape and appearance. He's also been able to get me to the haircut I envision. I went here on a Groupon to get a haircut and Leo the owner did a great job. But when I went back for color, it was not the same experience. My highlights were looking brassy so I asked for toner. The toner was too dark so he used bleach to lighten it up. It was still too dark but it was better than what it was. Afterwards my hair was extremely dry and after only 10 days my grays were visible again. I also wasn't happy with the darker color and numerous washings failed to lighten it up. I ended up going somewhere else to have it corrected and was told my scalp was very dry and flaky. Since I've never had that issue before I can only assume it was from the toner and bleach that were used. I would go back for a haircut or other service but not for color. If you don't have grays and/or are used to a less refined brand of color, you might have a better experience. read more

I've been getting cuts from Leo long before he moved to a location. This location may be new, but he's definitely been in the industry for ages. I've gone to several other places before, but Leo is by far the most attentive hair stylist I've ever gone to. He's got me through wedding events, company outings and Halloween. I don't know how to style my hair at all and he's been very patient with me, giving me tips and walking me how to style my hair every time. He's very detail oriented and takes his time to make sure my hair is perfect all the time. He's also very experienced and would give me suggestions, making minor modifications to the hair style I showed him to better fit my face and body structure. Leo is my go-to stylist! I've been seeing him since moving to the Arcadia area 8 years ago and he is the only one i trust with my hair. So when he sent me a message that he was opening up his own salon I was so happy for him! He's very attentive to what you want in a haircut. I always show him a pic of something I like and he knows exactly how to translate it to fit your look.
