I'd have to wait a bit, but the fact a stylist, who posts pictures of pixie cuts and does artistic magic with hair and color, would fit me in meant I'd wait for hours, if needed. You walk in and it's filled with flowers and the most amazing interior design features. She designed it herself. Gorgeous. Already I can see the flair and creativity. Yuri was finishing up with a lady with longer hair and I could see the cut and motion of the hair looked fabulous. She was kind, direct, and attentive too. I've got super short hair and it has been a nightmare finding someone to cut it. Why? It's very very fine and I've never had dense hair. It's also stick straight. You screw up and it's obvious. Yuri wasn't phased by this, looked at pics and went right to cutting with expert scissor use, clippers, and thinning shears. She sprayed my dry hair- what really should always be done with super short hair- and her hands started flying. She moved the hair on my head to see how it reacted and cut expertly. She listened to requests and did it perfectly while also adding her own flair and style. Before cutting bangs and using razors, she sent me for a wash. Her assistant gives the most amazing wash, condition, and massage I've had anywhere. She's magic. And kind. Back to the chair to finish it all off. Unbelievable and fantastic. I called a couple of salons in the area and came upon this one; which I had seen before in reviews on Yelp but had avoided because RT 29 in Gainesville is just a mess. Luckily I was able to get in with Sue, and she took care of my roots. Good price too. I sent her a text the next day to inquire about highlights and she said yes to the following Friday. I have super dark hair, but have been a platinum blonde in previous years, so aware of risks to hair condition and the color possibilities. She had no reservations about what she was doing and made me feel confident in the chair. The highlights were just beautiful- they may require a toner in the future, but were neutral enough and not red for my liking. She was super excited and enthusiastic about the color- how could I have not been? I look forward to seeing this wonderful lady who was confident and delivered me a change in color I like! Premier…read moreis not my regular barbershop I had to wait for about 20 minutes as there were other customers ahead of me. When it was my turn, I opted for their Haircut/Beard Trim/Eyebrow trim. I dozed off during the session. For some reason, the barber decided to change the physical boundary/outline of my facial hair - specifically, he removed about half of the mustache portion of my beard - which I did not request. Laura did an excellent job at giving my hair more life and body without cutting off too much hair, which is usually my deepest fear with trims. Furthermore, I had never had much of anything done to my hair and she guided me to pick a toning treatment with a color boost to change up my hair as well as a restorative treatment to fix this porous ass hair of mine. I was asked to wait and ended up sitting there for 30 minutes with no communication or updates at all. No one explained the delay or checked in with me, so I eventually left and went across the street. I understand that delays happen, but not being acknowledged or communicated with as a first-time client was frustrating and disappointing.
