I booked an appointment based on the high reviews. I asked for my daughter's hair to be cut…read morestraight across and to take off the damaged ends. It was about 3" in total that was needing to be cut. The stylist gathered my daughter's hair into a ponytail with her hands and snipped the edges off dry. Not a huge issue but it did surprise me because in a ponytail, that won't cut them evenly. But no biggie. So she took my daughter back and washed her hair, she was nice enough to my daughter and I. No issues there. When she was done cutting her hair she asked what my daughter wanted for a style. My daughter wanted pigtails. So she parted the hair down the middle. Except the front piece of the part was about an inch off, again, no big deal. My mistake was in not asking to see the cut before it was put up into pigtails. Because what I got when I took down her hair the next day was not a straight cut/trim across. It was super choppy!! I ended up trimming a small piece to try to blend it with the rest (the small piece I trimmed was a good INCH longer than the rest of the hair in what the photos show!) before taking the photos. I ended up calling the next day to cancel my own hair appointment as I was NEVER going to go back after what was done to my daughter's hair. Got my hair cut elsewhere and told the lady at the other salon what happened. She graciously offered to cut my daughter's hair for free. So I brought my daughter to get it fixed. She showed me how the side on my daughter's right side was so much higher than the rest so she had to cut off around 3" more after the hair cut l had gotten here. What was supposed to be a trim turned into 6" of hair having to be taken. My daughter is supposed to be in a wedding in 2 weeks. Hence why I needed her har to look good. I was really upset and to be honest, embarrassed that my daughter's hair looked so uneven after coming here. I do not feel that asking for a 3" trim straight across should have turned out this awful. And believe me, it was worse in person because for the phots I only ran my hands through her hair to get it captured. If I had a brush and a comb you would see how awful and choppy it was. I have no idea how this could even happen. But I will not be going back.

After washing and straightening my hair at home, I discovered the cut was noticeably choppy and uneven (photos attached). The appointment had started late and became rushed so I initially gave the stylist the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was simply an unfortunate one off. I reached out privately and was very cordial. I asked only for the haircut portion to be refunded, not the blowout or the two products I purchased. I even told her I loved the blowout and had planned to return for another. She apologized and acknowledged the haircut was concerning but repeatedly asked me to return so she could examine and correct it. Because I'm getting married in six weeks and will already need to lose additional length to fix the cut I politely declined and said I was more comfortable having my regular stylist correct it. Instead of refunding the haircut, I was offered three free blowouts. I don't regularly get blowouts, so I politely declined again and reiterated my request for a refund of ONLY the haircut. Unfortunately, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself because mistakes happen. It was how a reasonable request was handled after the fact. I gave multiple opportunities to resolve this privately and fairly and have not been refunded. I'm sharing this because I wish I had done more research beforehand, and others deserve to make an informed decision based on my experience. Additionally, I discovered this kind of behavior is actually common for this specific salon and owner, Lauren. I didn't plan to share this but after learning this is common behavior and bully tactics had been leveraged towards others in the past for speaking up, I didn't feel right not sharing my experience. Update: I was never informed at the time of service my cut was not "finished" since I assume when the cape is removed and I pay, it's done. Please be sure to confirm with your stylist the cut is finished before you pay and leave. I've since considered my haircut charge a donation towards future learning opportunities for the Master stylist at this salon. I also added the text exchange for full transparency since the owner has decided to alter the narrative.
