Best in the game! I decided to start my journey to platinum with Hair Cocktails last year and it has been my best decision yet. Love that Megan is so attentive to detail, keeps me icy and gives me exactly what I want without killing my already very thin hair. Also who doesn't like a little wine with each visit? Started off with a balayage, the grow out was so good, so unnoticeable (my fave part.) Then went brighter with shaggy bangs. Currently fully blonde but not quite platinum. I was referred to Megan from my cousin a couple of years ago and I have been with her ever since! She is a colorist guru! She is a realist and will be honest about getting you the hair you want without damaging it! My hair is healthier and better than ever! I always get so many compliments on my hair color and cuts! Horrible, emotional, irrational and drama.... I asked for a price quote for a balayge and Brazilian blow out she said that balayages start at $165 and I previously paid $165 for a Brazilian blow out with her which was a price she gave after evaluating my hair. I offered to pay her $200 for the balayge and $165 again for the blow out a total of $365. I told her that I could pay her $365 for both which is $35 more than her starting price she sent me a paragraph text about how it's not fair if your boss decided they wanted to pay you less for your work and went on and on...please keep in mind I was suggesting prices higher than the base quote that she gave. She took the price that was in her services range personally and said that she felt like I was telling her that she wasn't worth it??? Keep in mind I'm paying her above the base price that she quoted and previously gave. She does pull hair color blonde brassy and it's in an average suite not a nice salon...worst part is her professionalism and how she communicates to client's. If you feel like getting your head ripped off when trying to pay her above HER QUOTED price range not even the base price range then she's the hair dresser for you. Bored want drama, and average hair coloring in a average suite? Thats what you are getting. Wouldn't recommend. If my hair was easy enough to be quoted at her base price of $165 for a blow out it would have mostly likely been easy enough to be quoted at her base price of $165 for a balayage...I offered above that $200 and instead of being professional she took it personal and responded with nothing but emotional drama. She is not stable. Reading her response she tries to sound professional and rational and make it sound like it's her base price and it's not. She did not communicate with me in a professional or rational way at all. It should have been a sign though when she previously did my hair she was talking about taking a client to restraining order court because the client wanted her money back. She said that she couldn't handle the stress and felt like she should retire. If you are a business owner and doing someones hair for the first time you shouldn't be talking about how you are taking a former client to restraining order court because she was unhappy with her business. Thank God she is not doing my hair and in my life anymore. Follow up to my hair: I went and found another hair dresser to do my Brazilian blow out she was in a nice salon and actually provided great service. My new hairdresser provided a filtered fan so the Brazilian blow out didn't make my eyes water the entire time and separated my hair into sections and used a fine comb to put the product on instead of just dumping it on my head like haircocktails Megan did. She also fixed my hair Megan cut only the back of my hair and my hair was two different lengths. My new hairdresser even commented "what kind of hair dresser only cuts the back of your hair." It was nice to get good service by a professional and that can cut hair and not make my eyes water the entire time. read more
