The stylist, Esmeralda was very nice and explained what she was going to do, she stated she was going to put a level 3 with 20 volume all over. 30 minutes later my hair was way lighter and red. Now I'm not a stylist but it doesn't take a genius to go from light to dark. How does natural hair turn red?? Needless to say I was upset and she decided to tone all over with level 2. The results you ask???.... JET BLACK HAIR I am incredibly disappointed and after speaking with Adela she stated since they toned it 2 times the cannot issue me a refund. $65 that I could have got from a $6 box of dye. Dishonest business. I will never return and I will steer all of my friends and family as far away as possible.

I expressed these concerns to the shop owner, Mini, who was very reassuring and made me feel at ease with the process. Mini was very professional and returned my text message request for an appointment very quickly. She got me in ASAP and I appreciate her efficiency. Prior to the appointment I provided her with a few pictures of what I was thinking. While in the chair Mini was friendly and the shop was very clean and inviting. Her daughter Naomi also helped out with the shampoo station and did a nice job, very friendly and took her time. Mini cut ~3-4 inches with layers to help balance my curls and added some balayage for fresh color. Overall I am very pleased with my experience. Mini was professional, efficient, and it was very easy to see that she cared about the experience of her customers. Would highly recommend.

We've had two appointments with him and every time my son gets out the chair he walks a little taller. That says a lot about the cut when you feel how you look especially with a 6 year old! Lol Kuts and Queens is a clean facility and the vibe is comfortable. I was able to meet with the owners our first day in and I really love the family dynamic and how welcoming they were. The other Star because I appreciate the owner is an actual talented makeup artist and has over 20 years of experience. I can't give a full five stars because the program was set up really weird. I understood it was a Sunday class (great sounds convenient) It was like 5 consecutive weeks in a row with a two week break in between but each class I understood was Sundays from 8:30am to 5pm or 9 to 6 (or something to that affect with an hour lunch) BUT literally I DID NOT get out of there until after 10 PM sometimes midnight, not only did this inconvenience my whole family (and I have little kids that are in elementary school) it threw off our whole week. I might add, being in a class for that long as a student ...I wasn't even retaining any of the information after hour six. I don't think this type of learning is beneficial for anybody (in my opinion). I think the classes should be broken up and spread out and maybe no more than six hours per class. It would be even great to do like a four hour class. After that all the information I learned I did not retain, unfortunately. And if you try to leave early, they made it feel like a big deal and it was frowned upon. It was a stressful bummer. Other than that, I think it was a great program. I like the products that they used that I bought from them When I signed up, I understood the cost of the program was one price and then the kit was an extra thousand, but it was "optional"...BUT when you get there, it's very obvious that you have to use the products that they have you buy from them. I saw one girl bring her kit, but she wasn't using it. They asked her to buy their kit and use that one. We had to use all the makeup that they provided which was great Makeup. (when you buy the kit, it comes together you don't have to purchase anything individually, which I thought was great). BUT if you're on a budget, this is probably not the program for you. My total investment was around $4500. I attended in Aug 2024. I like that at the end we got a certificate and they had a little graduation that was really fun. Also a few times they bought us pizza or burritos which was nice and unexpected. I appreciated that as well.

I am a cosmetologist, and we are one of the worst clients another hairdresser can do. We are nice, but we know what we want, and if we could, we'd do it ourselves and not be in another stylist's chair. Or perhaps we can do it ourselves, but we want to be on the other end of the chair. Like me. Lorie was referred to me by my mom's Home Physical Therapist. She had the cutest most meticulously done A-Line bob that I had seen. These precision haircuts are most difficult to do, as well as time consuming. Vidal Sassoon was the hairstylist known for this particular work. Those who studied under his tutelage can be spotted by their precision haircuts as well. I highly recommend Lori at Chino's One Stop Hair Salon where it truly is a One-Stop Shop to get your total beauty look on from head-to-toe.
