In contrast, the experience was far from satisfactory. The basic soak-off process extended beyond three hours. Daisy's actions resulted in damage to the nail bed due to IMPROPER use of the drill and overfilling the nails too thin and incorrectly. As well as the improper and EXCESSIVE USE of acetone consequently leaving fingers white and shriveled up to the proximal interphalangeal joint. Daisy stated had she known she was going to do nails she would've brought oils of some sort to help with the damage.Daisy clearly acknowledging the fact that she caused damage! Despite Daisy's claim of having taken the class in the past, her performance demonstrated a lack of comprehension of the necessary techniques. Daisy's specialization was not as a nail tech student.We were provided with her services due to the absence of the original nail technician. I would have preferred to have been rescheduled with a qualified nail technician student. The entire process, which should have been supervised consumed an excessive amount of time, exceeding three hours. We were also fortunate to have access to real professional-grade products, allowing us to get hands-on experience with the same products we will encounter in the industry. However, there's one area where I think improvement is needed. I feel that a system should be implemented into the curriculum to ensure that all students complete a minimum number of each service to be considered eligible for graduation. Unfortunately, there were a few students who avoided performing services--whether by claiming to be sick, incapable, or simply unwilling to work in the spa. While everyone deserves understanding, it raises the question: why go through the effort of pursuing this education if you're not willing to do the work? I can say hands down there was a lot of ups and downs but my teachers Mrs gahda , Mrs vida , Mrs Brittney , Mrs e , Mr Malcom and Mr Vincent pushed me to better myself and was there to remind me what I was there for my passions and exploring new things ! Mrs patty is an amazing director who set boundaries but also was there when needed with great teaching skills and advice I would have given this place a 5 star but there was one particular teacher who was unprofessional in many situations, between cursing, saying she didn't want to be nor work there etc . I feel since I had her for most classes I missed the opportunity on learning some skills at my full potential due to her lack of teaching skills and I know I wasn't the most respectful toward her but can you blame me 3 classes and it was a dread to attend her classes . I can say at the end of my last months she did improve in certain areas but over all we ended up respecting each other's space and turning a blind eye to each-other. Mrs Deandre and Mrs Sarah are amazing and im glad there apart of the team . They are always helpful and help you understand financial aid or any questions about the school in general . They are honestly a big help and one of my highlights being at the school ! My last and final thoughts are for the back office they are all so kind and helped me get my paperwork done and completed. The place was filthy with Food on the floor. The corporate office is in this building so that makes it even worse. They have to walk past all of the filth. And just look at all of the reviews. This is the second time around for me. Once for a full hair style, included the works! Stylist for good but left me with uneven hair. My hair is medium thick & wavy. I'll admit that I wasn't expecting much, since they are students. But the stylist was nice and offered helpful suggestions. I would return for just a styling! The second visit for full gel mani-pedi. Both technicians were nice but the one working on my toes was a little rough, you might expect heavy-hands on cuticles My cuticles were not thick or heavy as it was 2 weeks from my last pedi. The girl did listen and tried but again she is a student in training. A week later, a closer look at my toes revealed a slight messy paint job and my gel is peeling off, which I think is more their nail polish brand! Bring your own! All the instructors are happy to help wherever you need assistance and always have different methods of teaching.
