I was a little skeptical about getting a hair cut from Hair Cuttery after the bad experiences and reviews I have read, but it was a Sunday and I did not have an appointment elsewhere. Lauren gave me a haircut with layers, which including a wash and blow-dry for $47. She did a great job and she was fast as well. The vibes at this location were very chill. They were even having a back to school sale with a lot of products on sale, including a $10 off promotion. There is a parking lot in the shopping center, so parking was not an issue at all. Absolutely loved my experience with Brianna! She was incredibly attentive to every detail, making sure the cut was just right for my face shape and style. What really stood out was how knowledgeable she was about products. She recommended a few based on my hair type, and they've made such a difference! My hair fell out when I got Covid before vaccines were available in 4/20. I developed vascular problems (my limbs fall asleep sometimes, even when I'm in a position that I can adjust myself). My hair started growing back this past spring, and it finally stopped falling out this summer, but it's still so thin and wispy. I'm getting a Minoxidil prescription from my doctor on Monday with a prescription for medicated shampoo. She suggested that I try CBD/Tea Tree-based products, so I bought a starter pack of CBD products when I when I checked out. (I have tea tree products already at home). So, I went my local Hair Cuttery today and had wonderful stylist who was familiar with clients coming in with Long-Covid who are dealing with the aftermath problems of hair loss, and she knew how to handle my extremely curly red-gold hair. I can't stop touching my hair! It's super-moisturized and is so soft. My stylist was so empathetic about my hair loss. I wish all hair stylists were as kind to me and accommodated disabled folks like me so well as they did at my local HC. read more

Went with Crystal and the cut turned out perfect. My daughter is absolutely in love with it, and so am I. Reasonably priced at $33, and she was seen right on time. After my very disappointing experience at Bubbles in Towson Mall (refer to my novel of a review here: goo.gl/nUddTC), I was referred to Sarah at the Abingdon Hair Cuttery by my bestie. I knew we were friends for a reason! Not only did Sarah have a great personality, she knew what she was doing and did it within a respectable timeframe. My hair hasn't felt nor looked this healthy in ages! She took the time to explain her process and was very thorough in what she was doing. There was toner, dye, deep conditioning, cutting, styling, the whole package. Although it cost a pretty penny (it was a grand price of $109, not including the tip or the deep conditioner treatment I purchased), it was worth every cent. I left there feeling like I was on top of the world. I felt sassy and sexy with my new do, and that's something you can't put a price on, especially after my last salon experience that made me feel embarrassed of my appearance. I will absolutely be going back there for touch-ups and the inviting and fun atmosphere that Sarah creates with her co-workers and clients. I loved every bit of my time here! read more

Had a 4pm appointment today.. I call an said that I had surgery.. who so ever made the appointment did it wrong, got there and the lady was busy doing another person hair.. Samantha was asked to do my hair and she refused, my husband asked and Samantha decided she will do my hair.. of course she was very upset.. so she pulled my hair down in the sink to wash it and hurt my head so badly.. Ms Etta came and did my hair around 430pm after I refused to let Samantha go true doing my hair.. very rude and nasty lady- hopefully I will not have to go back there after going to Christina for the last 4years .. today was a deserter. The first time I went to this location, I had a great experience. This time the person I had before was no longer with this salon, so I went with a random girl. It was horrible. She didn't understand my haircut, told me I've had relaxer in my hair (I haven't relaxed my hair since 2005) and my hair was so stiff I had to rewash my hair when I got home. I am still devastated at what happened to my hair today at this location. If I could give no stars I would! I asked for a 2 inch trim maybe 2 1/2 if need be, and explained for a few minutes how important the length of my hair was to me, and how I was trying to keep it long. The hairstylist, a black woman with an accent and short curly hair was pleasant and said she understood what I wanted and that I had beautiful long hair. I wear glasses, I take them off when I get my haircut so that they can get all of my hair and it's even. I can't see what's going on without my glasses. When I put my glasses back on my hair had been cut between 6 to 8 inches. I paid and tipped because I was in shock, but I walked back in and asked for a manager. The hairstylist tried to say that she only took 2 inches and denied the fact that I my hair was when I walked in as I was saying, saying that no it wasn't that long. The manager said I'm sorry I didn't see you when you came in, so I showed a picture of myself from about 2 to 3 weeks ago, And I could see the managers jaw drop and she said yeah that's definitely more than 2 inches. She refunded my money but I let the hairstylist keep her tip. I'm so angry now I feel I shouldn't have. I'm not a mean person but I feel like I specifically said what I wanted how hard is it to trim 2 inches? Anybody out there that has long hair knows that long can be very important to a person as it is to me. I feel extremely ugly and I don't know what to do with my hair except hide it in a bun for eight months until I can get it to grow back the length that it was. And even getting it into a bun right now is a struggle. I feel like my long hair was a part of who I am, and now it's gone and it can't be put back on and I have to wait what feels devastatingly long The other part is that she didn't even cut it straight, there's still long strands hanging off this mess, but I don't want to go to anybody else to fix it because it's only gonna become shorter. I just started a new job where I need to talk in front of people presenting and training, and now this has really shot my confidence. I'm so angry and frustrated that she couldn't follow simple directions, and then tried to deny the fact that she messed up.stay away from this woman! I am never ever going back here.
