I entered with my party of 3 to get bikini waxes cause we all had groupons. Candace was very friendly and the roim made you feel relaxed and comfortable. This was my first time getting a wax of this kind and Candace made you feel so comfortable and explained what would be done. There was really relaxing music playing and i felt my nerves calming down as i went through the appointment. Candace made it better because she talked alot and had my mind off of the pain i felt. She also suggested a numbing spray since i was saying im new to it and i was nervous. The spray actually helped mask some of the pain and i was happy about that. Candace made sure to check and recheck to make sure i was happy with the wax. I will be coming back because she did an amazing wax job that felt painless conpared to what i expected it to be like. They brought over an extra chair so our group could sit together and offered to hang up our coats. They also made small talk with us while we waiting our turn with the technician. The technician herself was super friendly and eased my worries since it was my first time. She was gentle even though the whole process was painful. I would definitely visit again.

For those of you familiar with the area it is just passed the football field where Burlington city highschool plays games ( or did in my youth). They have flexible hours and will even come in on a Sunday or Monday! This is nearly unheard of in hair care circles. The salon is spacious and clean. They have about 4 sinks, 4 dryers and a tanning bed. They also have relaxing touches like a coffee machine, cold water, a couch, movies, and magazines. It has a vibe that says, "stay a while." In regard to the styling experience they use high quality products: I got Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner and jane carter styling products. They also had a bunch of shea moisture products and some kinky curly products. While i was there they were also experimenting with some of my favorite products including heena, dabur vatika coconut oil, and rose water. My hair loves natural things so this was a treat for me! In addition to the nice products they also had respect for people's time. While it is (of course) best to make an appointment they also take walk-ins. For those with an appointment you don't linger endlessly while they work on multiple people. Instead you get asked questions such as " how do you wear your hair," "how do you maintain your hair" etc. You get enough individual attention to feel heard. As a rollerset girl for life, I decided to branch out and get a twist out done. Sadly I remembered why I rollerset: TWIST TAKE FOREVER TO DRY. I can only do short stints under the dryer. But my stylist was kind enough to pin the twist into a style and invite me back the next day to have my hair styled. I was able to go out and enjoy my day and let my hair air dry. The next day I returned and was shown different options and allowed to pick how I wanted my hair styled. Overall I was very pleased with my experience. While i will always be a DIY girl it is nice to go to a salon where the stylist listen and make a genuine effort to hear your concerns.

I actually came back to the salon about 20 minutes after my appointment because the haircut was uneven, and I told you in person that I hated it. It didn't look like any of the photos I showed you -- I asked for long, blended layers - the length to be 2" below my collarbone, and instead my hair was cut into a much shorter bob. The result is at least 5" shorter than what I requested, and the bottom 3" of my hair is very frizzy from the thinning shears. I never get the bottom of my hair layered nor did the pictures I showed you have that style. You also charged me $240 instead of the $160 I was quoted for root color, highlight touch-up, and a haircut -- a 50% upcharge that you said was for extra product. It doesn't make sense that all three services cost $160, but "extra product" alone cost $90 more. This is not blackmail. I waited months hoping you would make it right, but nothing was done. In the meantime, I've had to spend hundreds of dollars on products and tools trying to manage a haircut I didn't ask for -- one I will now be stuck with for a year while it grows out. My review reflects my honest experience so others know what to expect. I would have gladly refrained from posting a review or updated it if my concerns had been handled professionally.
