But the ones I've been using for years are very good. Haircut for women is around $40-45, men $25-30. It comes with shampoo, head massage, blow dry and style. With Asian hair salons, they specialize in head massage using acupressure. This is a super generous add on bonus, they take their time with washing your hair and massaging your head. If you're not used to it, it can be too hard for you. You can tell the hair washer if you prefer light, medium, or strong massage. I love coming on weekdays, as it's not as busy and your hair washing and cutting will not be rushed. Super nice owner and staff. The only thing I would suggest improving on is for them to remove hairs from brushes and sanitize their combs, scissors more in between clients.

On Monday, the day before my appointment, I received a reminder email from Vagaro but there was no option to cancel through the platform. I called the salon but it's closed on Monday so I sent Bauhaus a message through Vagaro explaining that I needed to reschedule the appointment. On Tuesday morning, 7 minutes after they opened, I tried calling again but the line was busy, so I left a voicemail. A few minutes later, someone from Bauhaus called me and I assumed they were calling me back to reschedule. Nope. They said that because I didn't cancel my appointment within 24 hours, they are billing me for 50% of the service I booked. I explained that I'd left a message via Vagaro and that I left a voicemail this morning. "You should have left a voicemail yesterday." Specific instructions to leave a voicemail instead of a Vagaro message aren't stated anywhere. I made multiple efforts in good faith to reschedule my appointment and let the salon know that I would not be making my 10am today. "I can't rebook you until you've paid the 50% cancellation fee." That's a shame. I have no problem paying the fee if it will be applied as a credit to my next service, but paying it as a penalty when the salon's booking systems don't support its cancellation/rescheduling policy is deeply unfair.
