My haircut from the Greek lady was nothing shy of excellent. She did a great job. However, online they advertise" $20 haircut". I was charged $32 and gave a 20% tip so it cost me almost $40. What??? Not at all what I expected. While I was there someone else had a coupon and wanted to use it but their system would not accept the code for the coupon and in the end the customer had to pay more than they anticipated. I won't return. Not because I didn't get a good haircut but because I consider the ethics of the business owner to be unacceptable. read more

I gave it two stars because two of the three stylists was wearing mask. I normally go to the color experts on DelPrado. My stylist left so I was on the hunt for a new one. But I have not been because of the pandemic. I saw that you were following cdc protocols so I made an appointment to get my hair cut. I have underlying health issues that makes me more cautious of my health because of Covid. I showed the stylist the picture of how I wanted my hair cut. It was a bob but I wanted it Long Needless to say I booked an appointment for a cut and style. I got a wash, cut ( not even close to what I asked for) and that was it. The stylist was coughing and said she smoked and was more interested in telling me about all her health problems in detail instead of service that she was to perform. On top of everything the cut was not very good and choppy, This level was not to what I was expecting from a licensed professional. This was not a very good experience and I think I will be looking for another stylist. read more

She went off during my appointment last week when I asked her to do a portion of my hair first. It gets better. It's unbelievable. She threw me out of the salon and then locked me out. When I got to my car, I realized that I had left my phone. She refused to give it to me. When my husband came in and started pinning the phone, she hit scared and finally found it in the washing machine. This woman is crazy!!!! Beware of her and if this place. My wife went for a cut, color, and highlights. Her mistake for not asking the price before hand, however all of their prices are posted on the wall. Dee did her hair with a request to go from blond to little darker with highlights. She is now dark brown with a light streak here and there. She went to pay and Dee told her that her prices are higher than most of the stylist and charged her $220 plus a 20% tip. She has never paid that at even a high end salon, yet alone a low end Hair Cuttery. She was nervous and upset when she left, but then tried to contact Dee twice with no response. Be careful about giving this business your debit/credit card. It's very possible business will charge you for a service you did not get, plus add a generous tip! Attitude of employees when shown evidence of bad charge may be outrageous - and even "wink" at each other. I went to get my haircut on Saturday January 21,2023 I arrived at 4:25 PM and notice a handwritten sign on the door stating closing early at 5:00 due to lack of help. I decided to go in and get a haircut when I opened the door another guy was walking towards the door so I held the door open for him and followed him in to get a haircut. The other guy checked in an stated I will be quick because he wanted a razor cut with 4on the top and 2 on the side. The stylist stated her name was Kathy and request his phone number. I also stated I wanted a haircut. Kathy looked back at the clock and stated perfect timing the clock was at 4:30 PM. Kathy took twenty minutes to buzz his hair the hole tie she was prying into his personal life are you single where do you live what do you do. The guy was polite and answered her questions but she would stop cutting his hair to talk. The other guy got finished at 4:50 paid and left. I got up for my haircut and was told that she was closed and somehow she surmised that the other guy and me were together. I told her I was waiting since 4:25 and she stated the sign said closed at five. It was 4:50 and she refused to cut my hair I stated you must be kidding me after you dogged a simple buzz cut you refuse to cut my hair after I waited 25 minutes. Kathy simple said sorry. There was another stylist present doing a women's hair who can attest to it because when I began arguing with Kathy they both stopped and looked at us. I've been a customer for over 10 years and will never go back because of the treatment received from Kathy. When I walked out the other guy stopped his truck rolled down the window and I told him what happen he apologized and stated that was the longest time he ever sat for a buzz cut. I went to the Surfside Hair Cuttery this weekend to get my 3 year old hair cut (which I have done before and had a good experience) and I had the ABSOLUTE worse experience in my life. The hair stylist Ashley Amber Wilson was the RUDEST most INCONCIDERATE person I have ever met. She was rude to my 3 year old son and actually said "uhhh does he always act like this?!" when he was acting a nervous and turning around constantly to see what she was doing with the scissors (Who talks to children like that). This went on for a couple min even after I told her I would help and hold him down and I needed her to do this as quickly as she could. She repletely made rude remarks about the way my son was acting and had the nastiest look on her face the whole time. I can't believe they let her work there, or anywhere with the way she acts around people. She didn't end dup cutting my sons hair and had the audacity to stare at me when I hadn't yet given up to have his hair cut and was still sitting there and said "uhhhh can i have my chair back" (so pretty much get the F out of my chair). Let me also add, there is another hair stylist there who tried to help out (who I have used before). I wish I could say I would go back to use the nice women, but if a company lets their employees act like this to customers and children, what other corners do they cut. Went in today for a full foil & haircut. The lady who did my hair was very sweet & easy to talk to but did not check my foils at all as they processed and there was no timer set at any point. I sat there for too long & my foils ended up over processing. The over processing resulted in a lot of breakage & some of my hair falling out. Specifically a large piece in the front of my hair that was fried off. I cut my hair again once I got home which helped take off most of the damage but I left dissatisfied and now with shorter hair than when I first started growing my hair out months ago. She did not charge me thank god & was apologetic which helped. Overall not a very relaxing/professional environment, there was a male stylist who I heard swear multiple times, I overheard a lot of talk of politics which is just not what I had expected the atmosphere to be like. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star was because my stylist was very nice & handled the situation the best she could and although her negligence is what caused this, I know she didn't do it on purpose. I went because it was closer to my house than my normal barber at Bladez. Next time I wont sacrifice quality for convenience. I felt weird coming in here . There was a lot of tension - I didn't feel comfortable. But I was in need of a hair cut. So Ash had helped me she sat me down for a consultation after that she took me over to shampoo -cut and blowdry my hair . She asked me what I wanted I then said i wanted alot of layers which i didn't get no layers at all. I felt like I had a box shaped hair cut with no layers and just a straight cut . i felt rush since she had a client waiting on her she spent like five minutes and said i was done - I then asked her if she was going to blowdry my hair , she gave me a weird look - she spent another five minutes on me .honesty the atmosphere had a very bad feel ..and not very welcoming at all.I did not feel a difference in my hair. Very unprofessional not happy . I had to go else where and spend more money to get what i wanted which was just layers all around. Because it was a mess and was very unhappy with my experience . EVEN the other hairstylist asked me where did i go , why did i pay for a service i wasn't happy with. I told her to be honest everyone has a job either they are good at it or not and obviously she's not ... she said she didn't seem like she didn't know what she was doing and just did whatever on your hair and tipped her anyway because that just my personality I will not return or would want anyone to go through this experience i do not recommend . My hair is falling out in chunks. Well I' am a licensed cosmetologist at a Hair Cuttery in New Jersey. I recently moved to Cape Coral. I decided to give Dee a chance so I can relax and get a highlight and trim for my birthday. After I paid 200$ I realized my ends felt terrible. I figured it was do to it being straightened. Anyways, I washed my hair a few days later, I began to notice that my hair was falling out in chunks and sections. I also noticed my hair would no longer curl or scrunch. I could barely run my fingers through my hair without bunches of it coming out. I went to get it checked and I was told that Dee(the stylist) put bleach that was not suppose to go under the dryer, under the dryer and in return caused my hair to loose its curl and break off. As a cosmetologist I know that it is ILLEGAL to not follow manufactures instructions, yet she is still doing hair here. At Del Prado they had to cut another 4 inches off my hair so that it wouldn't look terrible. Later the color and highlights I got turned grey and now my hair also wont accept color. Now the curly hair I had is short, thin, grey, and falling out constantly. I would not recommend Dee to my worst enemy. read more
