I got the worst cut of my life at this place last year and it has taken my hair the full year to recover. I asked for a cowboy copper shag and ended up with a whole head of foils and bleached blond stripes...oh..and the cut looked like lord farquaad from shrek. I had just moved here about 3 weeks prior, alone, started a new job and was kind of shell shocked by all of that when this happened. I paid, tipped, and never said anything to the stylist. Instead I'm went to my car and cried all the way home. My hair broke off for months. I was so traumatized that I've made 7 appts and cancelled all of them because im afraid to let anyone touch my hair again. I had been getting my haircut at Unique, and the barber/stylist did a good job. All my bookings were online. On the day of my last appointment, I received an email saying that my appointment had been canceled. So, I called Unique and asked why it was cancelled. They hem and hawed and said we don't know why. So, I said let's just rebook it then. I was told that they booked someone else in my place and that I could reschedule some other time. There was no apology or anything like what can we do to help. Ironically, they have a cancellation policy that charges the customer if they don't cancel before 24 hours. I should have said, you need to reimburse me for my time. I would have called the owner to complain, but the barber/stylist I use is the owner. I will never go back to them and encourage everyone to stay away from this business. read more

The salon was very clean, and followed all COVID guidelines. Rigo, Daisy and the staff were so friendly, and the appointment was right on time, which is great with a kid. I was very anxious to get my hair cut during this pandemic due to being over 65 and with a co morbidity. BUT I want to share my experience. First you must make an appt and then you will be advised that you must wear a mask. When you arrive the door is locked and the receptionist immediately comes out to get your name and appt info. Your stylist comes out to get you as soon as she is ready and he/she takes you right to their chair. Everyone in the salon is wearing a mask and there is hand sanitizer around. I chose to wash my hair before I came and did not get it styled as I was trying to minimize time in the Salon. I am more than pleased to recommend Unique hair salon and barber especially if you have any anxiety about going to get your hair cut ! and love the cut Daisy gave me too ! read more

Very punctual and great customer service. The owners are great people and are bilingual (Spanish/English).

I give Daisy a 5, because she does an exceptional job. However, twice in the last several months I have been disappointed in their appointment practices. I am given appointments, I show up on time, then I am told I am early, (as they changed my appointment without telling me - I had the card they gave me to prove it.) Last week I had other appointments, so I didn't stay (and I admit I was upset). I really needed my hair cut so had to squeeze it in and her availability didn't work, therefore I had to go elsewhere...now I have an awful cut, which I have to deal with. Also Unique's salon removed their prices off of the wall during their recent remodel, raising the price $4 for seniors without telling anyone. So now, I don't know what to do. Very, very frustrating. I love Daisy but the shop's practices, is the pits! I think I am even more upset, because she never even called to discuss the problem with me. So I guess they have enough customers, so they don't care. read more

Great cuts, very reasonable prices and nice family atmosphere. Always received in a friendly and professional manner and always glad I chose their shop. My cut is pretty standard but I see some intricate cuts coming out of this shop too. Real artists obviously work there. Highly recommend. read more
