When my regular stylist couldn't see me I was desperate for a cut so I decided to give them a try based on their good reviews. I ended up with Holly and while cutting my hair she mentioned adding some face framing highlights. It is not something I usually get but I decided to take the time and treat myself and was pleased with the results. Holly even pushed back an appointment to give me her full attention. I ended up buying the salon brand shampoo and conditioner and really like them. My hair is thin but it is much better with their products. I also started using Perfect 10 styling products which Holly used on my hair. I actually started embracing the straightness of my hair and invested in a Dyson Airwrap which is an amazing tool for getting it smooth and shiny. Best haircut and color I've had! Mara is an incredible hair stylist. She is professional and knowledgeable but also so kind and sweet. When I have questions about color for my highlights she always gives her professional opinion but always lets me make the final choice on what I feel comfortable. Holly is AMAZING! Originally I went to Aveda Pyure Salon and asked for a natural ginger look. 5 and a half hours and $250 later I came out with neon orange hair (price was for color only. No cut, style or blow-dry). I called this Hair Cuttery the next day hoping to have it fixed and Holly was able to fix it with no damage to my hair. Was very gentle and understanding, while walking me through the whole process on how she was going to fix it! Not only did she fix my color, but she also cut, blow dried and styled it. Everything altogether was less then half the price of Aveda and only an hour and a half of my time! I recently made an appointment with a master stylist at the hair Cuttery on Lyons road in coconut creek. This person had cut my hair 2times in the past. She had a client when I arrived on time for my appointment. She took me about 10 min late and proceeded to work on both of us. I was just getting a trim. When she was almost done she told me she put layers in! I did not nor did I mention layers. I took a look at the sides of my hair that were all jagged and uneven. It was awful. I told her no more and started to get out of the chair. I was so mad and I think she saw what a mess she made of my hair. This was a master stylist. Never again. Don't go to this salon and don't let them have 2 customers at once. Ther is nothing I can do but wait til my hair grows and can be evened out. If she offered to try to fix it I would decline. Went to this Hair Cuttery last night around 7:15pm. Before going in, my mother called to ask for the price for a blow out. She was told $20. I get there and a woman named LISA comes from the back looking like I ruined her break. She dragged her feet from the back of the store to the front. I sit in Lisa's chair and Lisa asks to see my hair. I take my hair out of my bun and Lisa asks me "when was the last time you washed your hair?" I told her I washed my hair last night. She then asks, "well did you comb it?" I told her yes and that my hair had gel in it and would be fine once she washed it. I also told Lisa that I'm growing out my hair so 50% was straight and 50% was naturally curly. Lisa then goes to the computer to push buttons. The screen has large checkboxes that I could clearly see from the chair. Lisa checked off "Deluxe Set" and 2 other boxes at the bottom of the screen (things I did not ask for) then told me $55. I told her no thank you and left. What Lisa didn't know is 1. I am an attorney. and 2. I was on the phone with my mother and father on my wireless headset and she heard the entire exchange. I'm 9 months pregnant and wasn't going to tell Lisa (who barely had any hair of her own) about herself. My mother called the store to ask Lisa why she spoke to me that way and she denied everything like a coward. I asked Lisa if she was calling me a liar and she said she had a store full of witnesses. Her witnesses were 2 employees who LAUGHED at me when I said I thought the price was closer to $20. I drove to the Hair Cuttery on Coconut Creek Parkway and had my hair done by Gladys who was polite and had no questions about me combing my hair. She also didn't ask for $55. The next day we spoke to a manager who said we cursed at Lisa. All lies to cover a poorly trained employee. She then hung up the phone. I will never go back to this location and will write a formal complaint to corporate and demand cultural sensitivity training for all employees. No one should experience what I have experienced. Do not come here unless you hair is thin and straight. They are not trained or competent enough to do any other hair types. read more

I came to this Hair Cuttery completely distraught after having my long layers botched by another hair dresser. They were quite busy, but the staff was very kind and managed to fit me in. I went to Abigail or "Abby" for short and she saved my hair. She will definitely take the time to listen to what you need and if you have a reference picture that's even more helpful. She is a little soft spoken and goofy but it was super welcoming as a first time customer. She ended up some how fixing the layers in my hair and I completely loved them. Since then, I refuse to get my hair cut from anyone else. I live in Gainesville and will wait until I come home to South Florida to get my hair cut into a style. They can get pretty busy due to their location but if you ever have the time and patience, I fully recommend this Hair Cuttery. read more
