I come in about once a week for blow outs with Gina, Ashley or Dana, as I pretty much became addicted to blow outs last year due to the convenience and how epically nicer my hair turns out, and stays, when they blow dry and style it vs. my abilities to sleekly dry my medium-long, somewhat thick hair. It's so worth the ~"bang for the buck" to let them work their magic. I've also come for cuts and color, which have worked out beautifully, and for airbrush tanning, which is, well, also a little addictive! It's a family-owned salon that's been around for decades, with a really welcoming, cheerful vibe on the part of both the stylists and clientele ... Just a really comfortable, enjoyable place I can count on to consistently keep me in a good mood.

I have had multiple bad experiences with scheduling appointments with this salon. They do a good…read morejob cutting and coloring, but multiple times have had them tell me day of as I walk in that the appointment had to be canceled due to the stylist being sick , but they had the wrong phone number for me , and did not send an email so I came in, and then was told OH I'm sorry, your stylist is sick. On other occasions I was late, maybe 10 minutes, and because of road construction and a train that I had to wait for..which is not their fault nor mine...but they completely canceled the appointment made no accommodations. Very very very disappointing and even though the cut and color is good , I am going to refuse to give my business to them and find somewhere else. I am sure it won't matter in the long run , but when a hair cut is a treat and I go out of my way to plan my day around it or make it on a day I have off of work to be able to take my daughter and am just met with Oops! Or Sorry you had to wait for a train but ya cant get your hair done... I dunno, it just stinks. Without even trying to work it out or even pretending to do so. And once they called while I was on my way, told me I could get cut but no blow dry and then when I walked in said it is completely canceled. Has been the same for a friend that I reccomended them to.as well...which is embarrassing for me. Won't be reccomending or returning .​​

I drove 50 MILES, an HOUR AND A HALF, to get there. They sat me down, and said they didn't have time for my hair. The receptionist apparently messed up and didn't put in any of the information I told her. The stylist got the manager (and never came back to apologize). The manager said they didn't have time for anything- no cut, no color. She was so unprofessional. Didn't offer anything to accommodate me. Just let me sit there and cry. Fucking awful. I had been there before and spent $350, you'd think they'd treat me better. Bad service, would not recommend. Rude

Instead of showing understanding, I was questioned on the phone in a way that felt unnecessary and unprofessional. A little more courtesy and flexibility would go along way. That said, the hair stylist, Chloe, completely turned the experience around. She was absolutely wonderful--patient, kind, and very engaging with my 5-year-old during her appointment. She made my child feel comfortable and at ease, which I truly appreciated. Her professionalism and warm personality stood out and made the visit worthwhile. Gladys Johnson

But after being told over and over the the right thing is too share my story, even being approach by other artist and media I decided that I should be the one to tell my story. I came across this salon thru Yelp and after seeing some of the photos I figure this would be a cold place to do hair color for the first time. Once arrived there (February) I notice two young girls working. Also notice the sailing still had all the Xmas decorations till up with the Xmas tree. Don't know but I feel that your sailing is a reflection of you and for some reason It just felt off for me. I showed them what I wanted, I have a dark base hair and just wanted to have chocolate hair . The other girl who was not dealing with my hair came in and said well for what you want you gotta bleach your whole hair. I am not hair expert but talking to other stylist there was not need to bleach the hair . After that she brought the color book to choose tones again the other girl Interrupted by saying look we can't choose or you you need to choose what you want. I just felt so i cared for and this girl who was doing my hair was just falling every word of this other stylist . It was all rushed. She proceed to bleach my hair . She kept repeating she was messy. And let me tell you I don't know how many times bleach felt on my face, body, phone , I mean just all over. After she took the bleach off she but the gloss. When she started to dry it the hair looked like grass I mean the texture of the hair wa alike nothing I have seen before and the color looked yellow which was one of the things I told her I didn't want. The other girl again interrupted saying well I like it. Again this is not about YOU is about what your client wants and make them feel happy with their look. She but another gloss to tone down how yellow the hair looked. The hair drying techniques were just poor . With the corner of my eye I saw how burned the ends looked. I started to panicked and I just got silent and quite. Being a non confrontational person. She started cutting the ends after she already had cut them twice and I knew it was just not looking good. When she turned me and saw the end results I was horrified. She then proceeded to take photos and when I saw them I was like how can you not see how horrible it looks. The hair on the top was sooooo freeze she left I don't know how many patches of hair uncurled. They charge me $150!!!! I left the salon crying. All three girls in the sailing including her started mumbling didn't even bother asking or addressing the situation. It was the most awkward and horrible situation I have ever been. But don't take my word see the photos. Then you tell me if this was a job worth $150 without even an apology. I got home couldn't stop crying when my husband arrived he just stood quite until he saw me turn around and said "what the hell you have on the back do your back and proceeded to out his hand to pull something out. It was a chunk of product with hair attached to it. She didn't take the gloss or bleach other correctly and had dried my hair with it!!! Main hair was breaking and falling every time I passed my hands. This was a night mare. I called the next day and the owner after hearing while crying on the phone. She only said well in my 20 years of experience this has NEVER happened the most I can do is have you come and give you a hair mask so your hair stops falling. I was in show with the level of unprofessional attitude and moral these ladies have. You work ethic speaks very loud. You never mess with anyone's hair specially when they trust you with their time, money, hair for you to not take pride and responsibility. To not do the right thing by your client.

She never made it seem like a rushed appt (even though I could tell my appt was running long)... When you make an appt with Donna, you can expect many compliments on your hair afterwards. I'm very picky when it comes to hair coloring, and we've all cried after a bad appt.... But finally so happy to find Donna! Super consistent, and does an amazing job every time!
