I walked in because it said walk ins welcome. The place was empty but I was turned away and told that people were coming soon for appointments. I sat in my car waiting for my husband to finish buying groceries at Publix for 30. + minutes. No one ever walked into the salon. This place has horrible service and should not be open. Hopefully corporate will take a look at how it is being handled and do something better. It used to be my go-to. I don't recommend this place. Everyone is just too busy on their phones playing games and checking facebook to work. read more

With the holidays upon us, I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. I've been going to Hair Cuttery for years, different location. My gal went to once a month so I chose this location. Oliva was apparently rushed because she was coloring someone else's hair and my hair meant nothing to her, she made it seem as if i was a nuisanceto her, very very rude and tried to basically get rid of me by telling me it would be awhile until she could get to me, she even tried "giving me away" to someone else (i really wish she would have!!!!) . I've been getting the same cut for 2 years, pictured below what i got was beyond disgusting. There aren't enough words to describe what I felt. I'm mortified and it's 2 months later and I still can't get it fixed because it hasn't grown in enough. I'm so upset and horrified that she thought this was ok to do to someone. Princess,needs to get over herself and treat EVERYONE the same. I just dont want anyone else to get treated by her this way. My first appointment was very relaxed, fun and amazing with my stylist, she was incredibly sweet and really made me feel comfortable and taken care of as soon as I sat in her chair I came in for a blowout for my 3B hair type and she accommodated me as best as possible, and by the end of the session I loved my hair! She also provided great hair care tips, listening to my hair needs and really creating a safe space for me to discuss my concerns with my hair. By the end of the session my hair wasn't flat, but we both agreed that we loved the body and volume of my hair, unfortunately my hair didn't remain flat after the appointment (in part due to drizzling) They really are the kindest and most accommodating hairstylists so it breaks my heart that I have to find a different salon that can do my hair differently because my hair has different needs! :( I'm going to miss them!! I come here every few months to get a trim, however this time was absolutely horrible. The lady doing my hair was Olivia and she should not be a hairdresser. She was so rough, from washing my hair with scorching water to burning my scalp with a hair dryer to the point that it is tender to touch. She was so rude when I asked to see how much hair she was gonna cut and made a snarky remark about how she doesn't know how she wants me to do that. I couldn't relax at all because my hair was constantly being pulled and ripped out of my head with how rough she is. She needs her license taken away ASAP. read more

If I could I would give it 0 stars, made an appointment with Olivia, she was late, to begin with, I showed her two pictures of the hair cut I wanted, long layers on top and short and wispy on the bottom. I ended up with a short, short, short hair cut, I looked like a guy with this hair cut. I cried heavily, my hair was long enough going in there to accommodate my hairstyle, which I had worn before, it just had grown out. No apoligy from Olivia, no comment, other when I said something thru the procedure, she states "trust the process"...yeah, right....The manager, did not apologize either, but did not charge me. So I have to live now with this horrible hair cut for who knows how long until everything has grown out again. Need to invest in a wig....Terrible....will not go there again....also lost a pair of earrings, which Olivia required for me to take out. Worst experience ever and I didn't even get my hair cut. I read good reviews about this place and it's near my job so I thought I'd give it a try. I walked in and there was an older gentleman waiting to get his haircut and some kids waiting on their dad. Two ladies finished haircuts and did not even acknowledge me or the other gentleman AT ALL. I have been coming to get my hair cut here for the last eight years. Savannah is the best and always gives a terrific hair cut. Now my son comes with me regularly and any of the ladies there will do a great job. Sometimes its a bit crowded but the wait isn't that long. Can't speak for women's cuts but my wife and daughter have been a couple of times and have no complaints. As for my son and I, it's always our first choice for haircuts. read more

I have 4 boys and they can be a handful for anyone but having one with autism makes getting hair cuts extremely difficult. My son is almost 7 years old and has never allowed anyone to cut his hair willing until today. Cassandra was so understanding and patient and my son was so at ease with her that he seemed didn't seem to be scared, every other hair cut he has ever had ended in screaming and crying but not today. I had been having my hair colored and styled at the Monument Rd. Hair Cuttery in Jacksonville, Florida with Savannah. She would color and shape and style my hair. Everything was fine. However my last visit she colored my hair but instead of shaping my long hair as I asked she hacked several inches off and cut it straight across. Then instead of trimming the front she rudely just flipped it back and was done. It looked hideous. She had a hostil attitude. She had never been like that before and I am always pleasant and give a generous tip. She charged me over $100.00 for spending very little time and ruining my hair. To make it worse when I washed it the color washed out. I've not had that happen before and suspect she deliberately didn't use the permanent color for whatever reason. I have no idea why she was so hostil. I will never go to any Hair Cuttery again. She should not be treating customers that way or working in a salon. read more

They took 3 women before us (all came in after us) but I just figured they had appointments. Nope... we were never put in the system. Kim cut my hair and though I told her I wanted to keep it long and we discussed a length, she went much shorter. I asked for layers but for them to be feathered, well-blended, and not choppy. She completely butchered my hair and left it very choppy. I will never go back to Hair Cuttery after this experience. I can't even look at myself. read more
