I came in to get some layers. The women who was cutting my hair did a great job at making me feel uncomfortable by repeatedly grabbing my hands and draping her arms around me. I was faced away from the mirror for nearly the whole haircut so by the time she turned the chair around for me to look, the damage had already been done. The result was so bad that when I got home I just shaved off the hair that I had been growing for two years. If I handed my dog the scissors he could have done a better job. Annalise was so sweet! She listened to what I wanted and gave me that exactly. I told her about my son passing and how I hadn't been taking care of myself since. She was so sympathetic and sweet. She hugged me and prayed for me right then and there. She will be my stylist as long as she will have me. I've been coming to this location since July 2020 - March is my stylist and always makes my hair look amazing and always listens to what I want done! When I ask her to do something a little different (whether I want her to put more layers in my hair or highlight around my face a little more, or whatever) she always does it just like I imagined. I always leave feeling fresh and fabulous!! She is also very courteous and makes sure to price out options prior to doing it- so, ex., I ask her to curl my hair at the ends, she'll let me know exactly how much it costs to do that BEFORE she goes in and does it, which I'm super grateful for. read more

Avoid this place if you value your hair. I have shoulder length hair I've been growing for the past few years for a very sentimental reason. I asked the person who was going to cut my hair if the were comfortable with not cutting into the long parts and they assured me they were. They handled the trimmers completely unprofessionally and when I thought they cut it (it was tied up) they assured me they didn't. Again this happened and they said they didn't and then I watched this person grab the batches of long hair in their hand and assure me they didn't as they threw it on the ground lying to my face as they did it. I asked for the manager and as I took my hair down several other long chunks clearly came out and the stylist infront of the manager denied doing it like it happened by itself. the manager was apologetic and told me someone would call to discuss it but that same person that cut chunks of my hair then started cutting another persons hair. read more

I went for a walk in men's hair cut on Jan 25th. After the cut the Asian/Philippine barber said it was $29. I told her the sign says $24 and she stated their prices went up. Called the next day and the staff stated she was wrong it's still $24. Called the manger today and she was just as worthless. She said she over charged me but would only give my $4 back if I came in when she was there. The manger wasn't even surprised when I told her this as well so they're both in on it. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Sorry to be dramatic but the negative reviews are well deserved. I'll refrain from using names because I don't want to affect someone's livelihood but I went in for a cut today and first off, the woman I scheduled with told me I wasn't scheduled with her and when I said I could show her my email confirmation for HER she said, she just wouldn't have the time to do a HAIRCUT AND BLOWOUT. Then for the remainder of my time there, she cut two men's hair... at least one was a walk-in... red flag number 1. I'm told another woman will cut my hair so I tell her I want long, wispy layers and my hair thinned out. I show her a picture for reference and she doesn't ask much else but says okay she can do it... I should've been more weary but figured she must know what she's doing. She is the professional, right??? No. After hacking up my head, I end up with short, uneven, non blended layers that look as if someone has placed a wig on my head of a shorter length on the hair that lay underneath... I wish I was exaggerating but I will provide pictures if possible. So she says she won't charge me for the wash and blow dry and sure that's all fine and swell but says she can't do anything else. Says it's the best she can do... I'm holding back tears. I leave and immediately plan my next move of where to go and fix this hack job. My mother told me fantastic Sam's was actually fantastic last time she went so I gave them a go and told them everything and how I'd originally wanted my hair. The woman there tried her best to blend the layers and do what she could to match the reference photo, which she did and it looked much better than it had before, but I'd decided my hair was just too far gone for my liking and opted for a cute blunt bob look and it came out FANTASTIC! Rachel saved my hair and has become my new go-to after salvaging the disaster I came to her with from the horrible hair Cuttery. read more

I don't normally write reviews but figure it would be worth it to just let people know how my experience was here. First of all- I just want to say that my hairdresser was lovely. Super kind and personable. However, my hair cut is astonishingly crooked. So crooked that I have made another appointment at a different salon to get it corrected. Just something to note, even though they were kind, I feel if I need to pay for a haircut just to get a corrective haircut then it's probably not worth stopping by. read more

I went in for a baylage. First, the stylist was extremely rude in asking me to take off my sweatshirt. I kindly told her that I would prefer to have it on and she gave me a dirty look and said I needed to take it off. I asked if I could have it on for personal reasons and she was very rude and huffy about it. She then proceeded to ask me about what I wanted and I showed her a picture of what I had done in the past. She scoped out the pricing when I asked why the price was more than I expected she was extremely rude in explaining that my hair was long and dark and asked if I wanted to continue with the service. I said yes but I should have run for the hills. For the next 3 1/2 hours she continued to be very harsh with my hair. The shampoo I received when washing out the foils was one of the roughest I've ever received in my entire life. I could feel my hair being pulled out of my head. My head was banged against the shampoo bowl. Finally, when she revealed the finished product, I was horrified. The balayage turned out extremely streaky and orange. She didn't even really ask if I liked it. She just said "there you go" and proceeded to charge me $200. I went home and cried for three hours and have been terrified of going out into public. I then sought out a separate salon and asked for a consultation on whether I was being overdramatic. They said that the hair looked horrible and it looks like a professional had not done it. I think the stylist personally took something out on me and now my hair has suffered for it. read more

As a walk-in, I asked for my hair to be washed (shampoo & conditioner) and trimmed. The stylist barely washed my hair at all. No lather, no scrubbing, and I was done. The trim she offered was a cut and I politely declined. She trimmed the ends and I declined further service. While she was friendly, it was the worst wash I have experienced at any hair cuttery or any other salon. read more

My hair was long (almost reached my ribs) and was in need of a decent trim to get some dead ends off etc. I went in knowing that and asked for them to reshape it so that it formed a V in the back so it was lighter with the summer heat. I knew I also needed some length off (2 maybe 3 inches). What I got is totally opposite. All the hairdresser did (she has black and purple hair, didn't catch her name) was cut my hair off by 6 inches which was totally unnecessary. I hadn't been here in a few years, but it had always been fine before and the people had been friendly. But my visit a couple weeks ago was really disappointing. I went in just to simply get a trim. The wait was super short, so that was good. But the woman who cut my hair wasn't friendly at all and basically made me feel like crap because I had split ends. Yeah sorry, I have split ends, but you don't have to make me feel bad about it while I'm paying you to cut them off. She acted like I was bothering her by coming in with split ends. Then she blew my hair dry but didn't really style it at all, so it was all poofy and kind of blah looking. The haircut itself was fine, but I left feeling like I had ugly hair, which is kind of the opposite of how you should feel after a haircut. The dumbest part was that I figured out, through the other stylists' conversations while I was there, that the stylist cutting my hair was actually the manager of the place. Overall I had a similar experience as J.J. The people that work in this particular "Hair Cuttery" are very unfriendly. I'm wondering if my son had his haircut by the same hair stylist that J.J. mentioned, because the lady that cut my son's hair practically made a big scene and issue over his scalp dandruff, going as far as to beckon for me to observe and point out the flakes in my son's hair, as if my son were eight years old! My son is a 22 year old well mannered young man, and what he does or doesn't do to take care of his dry scalp issue is his problem, and his problem alone. My son is out of work, and this was a rare time when we were out together and I sporadically decided to treat him to a haircut that he will later pay me back for. I am not responsible for the condition of a full grown man's hair, nor did the stylist need to embark on a big scene just to use an excuse to sell the stores product line. She made sure to point out his obvious dry skin issue, but wasn't polite enough to ask me if I wanted to pay for the dandruff shampoo that she brought up to the counter. I now know why they run a skeleton crew, with not many customers, because the people working at this location do not care if they make their customers feel welcome. read more
