Worst haircut I have ever received!! I came in with long hair and I wanted a trim with long layers framing my face. The lady cut my layers all crooked and now my hair looks stringy. From the back it looks like a have a tail. It looks awful!! The layers do not blend in together. I think I could've cut my hair better myself. It looks so bad that now I have to find someone who can fix it for me. I will never get a haircut here again. Also, my daughter had her haircut the same day with a different hair dresser and her bangs are crooked too and the lady didn't cut the back of her hair at all. Made an appointment for $45 haircut. Upon arrival the hairdresser said I had long hair and the price would be $68. Although not happy I agreed. When it was time to pay the price was $87.00! Hair cut was OK. Definitely wasn't $71 Dollars worth! It was a basic cut with Bangs. The blow out wasn't even that great. (No hair flips or curls at the end) My hair was left flat (no volume). I used to come here a few times. and the last time I did get a good haircut. Certain times, though, they either cut it too short, or don't do how I expected. I had an older guy work on my hair, he cut it the way how I said it. He wasn't that happy, or didn't seem to want to give me a haircut. Probably, just needed the money. My main issue with him, is that I don't like my hair being blow dried. When I was done, without even asking, he said that he needs to use the blow dryer to wipe all the extra hair off. I told him, a bit annoyed, just use the brush. He says okay. I tell him if he needs to use the blow dryer, I told him to just ask. The place can sometimes can be a long wait, but it's never impossibly long. Most you would have to wait is probably 30 mins. read more

I was very clear when I requested a bob haircut I expected the sides and the back to be similar in length and I requested the top to be cut short. I ended up with an absolute butchered haircut. The hair is so short on the sides of my head it barely touches the top of my ears. I requested a part in the middle and wispy bangs and I got a part on the side and a full bang. When the "stylist" was done, I had to point out to her that the sides weren't even. She cut even more of one side and they still are not right. Couldn't get out of here fast enough. Always a good job for cut and color. Be aware that it is owned by a large company and stylists try to push extra services. Prices are posted but master stylists charge about 15% more. This additional fee is somewhere in the fine print. A separate brochure (tucked in a draw) was shown to me after i questioned the fee. When you go question the price because stylists also try to sneak in a pkg deal. It could cost you ten dollars more for some "special conditioner". My stylist announced the price and quickly walked away. Glad I asked her to break it down before we started. Just was told by a friend that my hair is uneven. Be careful for a bait and switch here. If you book online with a stylist, the price is not what they charge when you get to the salon. I've been going there over 2 years and this is the first time this has happened. After arguing, I was told they would honor the price THIS TIME but don't expect it going forward. I have short hair and they wanted to charge me $30 to blow dry. Wash cut and blow dry is $29 when you book and $50 when you get to the salon. I am going to follow up with corporate. This is no way to keep customers. read more

I would love to give this place a good review, but unfortunately I can not. It is not because they are not good at cutting hair, but I will never know. I have gone there twice. Both times around 8:30 to get my 3 year old a trim. On their door there is a sign with hours up until 9pm. Both times I was turned down service, because they were closing. Both times they were not sympathetic and not very nice. There are too many hair places out there that I can go to that would appreciate my business and will actually stay open until the time posted. read more

I went to get my hair cut and when i got home to blow dry my hair, i noticed the one side of my hair was a lot longer than the other. Not once did the hair dresser measure it out to make sure it was even. Im not even sure that he was a real hair dresser. Had 3 great cuts before a terrible one. Had to guide the stylist through EXACTLY what I wanted, even though I'd already told her when we started. I almost looked like Mrs. Brady with the flip on the bottom of my hair and short layers on top. DO NOT go to a stylist named Melissa T. We were there today for a hair cut for my father and son. We did not have an appointment; however after 15 minutes of wait time was told that he and my son would be taken in in 10-15 minutes. Like they said, my son was taken in 15 minutes and they did a good job. However no one got to my father and after waiting for 90 minutes, we were told that it might still be 10-15 minutes. Horrible, if we became aware of the wait time, we could have come back or made an appointment. Not being forthcoming with the wait time and making people wait for 1-1.5 hours is completely not acceptable. read more

I came to Hair Cuttery in Miltown with my 13 years old daughter for her hair cut +hair stile for myself. The master working with me was wonderful and did a great job. BUT, i extremely disappointing with services provided to my 13 y.o. child by different master, and management reaction when complain was brought to his attention. The regular price for my daughter hair cut should of be $17. After the completion of hair cut the master told me, that after the blow dry the price of my daughter hair cut would be $35. Ive told no to blow-dry and asked not to let my daughter go with her hear wet. Regardless, they've let my daughter go with soaking wet hair. Terrible service. All of it happened front of the child. According to the manager, that it is the salon policy, not to dry client hair after the hair cut unless $18 blow dry as a separate service purchased. It would make a basic haircut for 13 y.o. --$35. Be aware!!! That is not a place you want to go with your child. read more
