The website says $20 for a child's haircut, and that's what we've always paid. We took our son in today and were charged the adult price of $28 (he's 10). When my husband inquired, they just said it went up a few weeks ago. I find it hard to believe a child's haircut went up $8. That's not what's posted. So, I just took my 11 year old daughter here for a haircut. Sent her to the back where the stylist went to work. Figured I'd be paying $28 + tip. Imagine my surprise when I went to pay and the bill was $55! I asked what in the world? The stylist had apparently asked my daughter if she wanted a "blow out." Of course my daughter said yes! I went online to sign my kids up for an appointment, and we were there 5 minutes before our appointment time, and there were no appointments for us waiting when we arrived. The lady showed us the line, and we were looking at 30 minutes. I made an appointment because I had other stuff to do. This place has messed up our kids hair in the past, along with the Hair Cuttery down the road near Target and Shoppers, so I would advise to stay away from these establishments, because they suck!!! read more

The only place I trust to properly cut, dye, style, etc. my hair! Vimean is the best hair stylist I have ever met and I've been going to her, exclusively, for all my hair needs since early 2016. Some examples of her work include cutting my 12+ inch hair to my neck and curling my super straight Asian hair for prom. Today, she dyed my black roots and already dyed hair the same color, added highlights, applied a 2 step treatment to my hair to even out the color and provide nourishment from my newly dyed locks, and trimmed my hair. Although the process was long, Vimean was wonderful and walked me through each step. She even helped me decide on the best way to get the color I wanted while accounting for hair care and price. She is such a hardworking and professional stylist in addition to being an amazing person in general! read more

Upgraded from 1 to 3 stars. I was pretty ticked when I wrote this but still, the bad service was uncalled for. I places get busy and sometimes thing are unavoidable but this was not that. Have been coming here for a couple years, came in today for my usual buzz cut. Was told 30-45mins. A little long but no big deal. I left after 1 hour and 15mins when I was told it would only be another 20mins. During that time I was called rude because I didn't want one particular stylist to cut my hair (once received a 45min "buzz cut" from her that ended up being uneven) and watched one stylist taking people out of order because she knew them (not appts). If they had told me it was going to be 1.5 to 2 hours I wouldn't have wasted my time on a Friday night. We're leaving town tomorrow morning and I've still gotta make dinner and pack for my family. Safe to say I'll find another place to get a haircut from now on. read more

We had been going to another location, but it's too small and busy for my son and his sensory issues, so we decided to give this location another try after a few minor haircut issues. 25 minutes before hand I logged into my account and checked both my young boys in. When I arrived at the time it said and went to look at their kiosk our names were nowhere to be seen. A lady asked if she could help and I told her we had already checked in online but our names weren't on the list. She came and looked and said that sometimes the online check in messes up and we would need to wait 45 minutes. My kids are 6 & 4... they aren't going to just chill and wait that long! That's exactly why I checked in in advance.... never again will we spend money in this franchise! read more

Arrived at 5:35pm and noticed two stylists - both saw me, and chose to not acknowledge me. No hello, no "be with you soon" or even "see the check in kiosk." I waited. Then I noticed the kiosk and did my self check in. I used the restroom and returned. And waited. Asian lady was finishing up with a kid, so I had hope of being next, as no other customers were there. The other lady, Vanessa, just finished a cut and said she had an appointment coming in at 6, so I would have to wait on the Asian lady (who had just started washing the hair of the mother of that kid). I said forget it - and mentioned it was pretty bad that no one even said hello and I wasn't even acknowledged. She said she didn't see me - yet she certainly looked at me when I entered the doorway. The guy to took me was super nice, but the lady with the long dark curly hair shouldn't had spoke the way that she did to the guy. I booked an appointment for 12 I was early about 10 mins. (got my hair wash, the lady comes up to the dresser kinda yelling at him saying that lady has been waiting for a long time) The other client had just walked in about 5 seconds before I did. The boss or whatever she is was just so rude. Save your time and go else where. A salon should be ran with respect to each co work. A friend recommended Mariam at this particular Hair Cuttery. First off, virtual fist pump in the air to viva voce being effective and holding true. Mariam saved my hair's life! I was a little suspicious at first; Hair Cuttery can be the ultimate gamble. It's literally like the Mario mystery box with Hair Cuttery, ya' never know what you're gonna' get. However, the Mario Kart Gods were on my side today and I officially left feeling like Princess Peach. I came to Mariam after going to an exclusive, expensive spa (silly me). Back story: I have thin, boring hair. My hair was really long and I was starting to feel like a real-life Betty Spaghetti. It was time for, at least, the illusion of volume. I have had a bob in the past and knew that it provided said illusion. In short, the first stylist really missed the memo and basically gave me a "bowl-cut" around my neck. Mariam turned it all around and took the time required to actually stack my hair and have the bob fall, angled around my face. Her attention to detail is impeccable also. She is a perfectionist, and I can appreciate that, considering I have to walk around in public with a hair stylist's work on my head. Also, Mariam is so sweet and easy to talk to. I went to Roman yesterday because my hair was absolutely terrible. It was falling out in clumps and it was so damaged. I wanted to get it as short as I could without being bald. I was already shaken up due to this being a dramatic change. Let me tell you... Roman WORKED my hair! I have a close shaven head with long bangs and I am in LOVE. I never thought a hair cut would work so well for my hair! The only downside is it was a bit more expensive than planned... But I am very happy with my cut! Go to Roman! read more

Waiting patiently for some assistance after trying to sign in on a broken computer. The next group that walked in was greeted and was being helped in front of me. I took my daughter to get face framing layers.The girl who cut my daughters hair is from Guatemala I showed her a pic of how I wanted her to cut my daughters layers and she agreed saying she could do it.My Daughter has long thick hair so when she started cutting her hair she gave me anxiety because it looked liked she didn't know what she was doing, and I was right when she was done she left my daughters hair looking very thin with no layers she just cut it just to cut it She told me she was not able to do it because her hair was thick which to me it didn't make sense.well after she messed up her hair I insisted if Euna could do it, Euna did not want to but at the end she said yes She did slightly better on the front part of her hair but she rushed she seemed like she didn't want to do it, worst experience and never coming back Unprofessional staff also unfriendly environment. If the stylist has an emergency or otherwise does not show and the scheduled appointment is not notified, this shows a major lack of customer service and respect for the time of the customer. This review is not aimed at the stylist. This is aimed at management not seeming to care. Then expecting that 15 minutes after the appointment the customer has another 45 minutes to wait? Stop accepting appointments if you cannot respect the customer and the customer's time. read more

She's a master stylist now, so her prices went up just a little, but she's worth every penny! She has also done all of my up-do's for homecomings/proms, and she always does a great job! Expensive, bad, and questionable hiring policies. This is the first barber I've ever found that cannot manage a low fade. The American woman at the front vanished as soon as I asked for a cut and was replaced with a woman who barely spoke english. This plus all the security cameras gave the place a depressing kind of human traffickey feeling. I ended up with crooked sideburns and noticable lines between the fade and the top. They left so many clippings in my hair I had to go home and take a shower and change shirts. Didn't even get a combing before I was rushed out. read more

This was my first time at a hair cuttery...and I will never be going back... to this one or any. My hair ended up being really, really uneven in the back. One side was much longer than the other side (and no, that was not the style I requested lol). I have never cut my hair, but I am sure I could have done it better. I ended up having to go get my hair cut a few days later to get it fixed :( I usually pay 40-65 for haircuts, but went to this place because it was close to where I live and my long hair was driving me insane...but I learned my lesson. Took my daughter here for a little color, just something fun for the holiday, I'll never go back to this establishment. I arrived with my daughter and three stylists where sitting around and another was cutting a young mans' hair, not a very busy night. The three women started arguing among themselves, it appeared none of them wanted to take us on as customers, one finally agreed and told us they didn't have the color my daughter wanted, we would have to go to the local CVS to get it. We said thank you and left, we went to CVS and purchased the color, my daughter wanted a small blue streak to frame her face. When we returned the stylist was surprised we came back, the stylists argued again and eventually we where passed on to a stylist who had just arrived. The next argument was how to charge for the service, they spoke at us telling us how the hair color had to be partnered with another service, one was talking at my daughter and the others we're speaking at me. One stylist suggested a service at 19.99 , another said my daughter needed a deep moisturizing treatment for 69.99. At this point I thanked everyone and said no thanks to all the services, obviously they didn't want our service. I've never been so insulted by a business, if you don't want to do something just tell me and I'll go elsewhere, certainly don't waste my time or yours, and then make me feel like your going to try to up-sell me services I haven't asked for. Worst experience of my life, if I ran a business like that I would deserve to have it go under, I suggest not to visit this establishment for any reason. I had a horrible experience. Came to get a simple cut, gave a picture to the lady Lisa cutting my hair and she couldn't do it. All I asked for was long layers. She ripped through my hair and left with damaged hair and a half a** cut. She rushed me out to make more money off of the next customer. Horrible. read more
