I take my clients there often. Today i got a plone call telling me that the stylist that i booked 2 appointments with was not available today. If i could come early she could work me inbut couldnt honor my appointment for me times. So I agreed to come early, All my ladies need was a hair cut. as usual. Both got hair cuts about 2 inches cut and trimmed. i don't understand why one of the stylists cut and blow dried my ladies hair that wasnt even washed ad charged her $50.00. I received a "haircut" by Melissa on Friday. She did not offer to wash my hair although it was included in the service I requested. I came to my appointment with a slick back bun as I assumed I'd get my hair washed. She cut and curled my hair with the products I came into the shop still in my hair. Her communication, service, and management was a hot mess. Rather than educating me that she would not be able to wash, dry, cut, and style my hair (for whatever reason, although I booked the appointment like any other paying customer) she chose to make me look crazy. I instantly left the salon and went elsewhere for a wash, and style. It was an absolute mess. read more

Worst hair cut of my life! She cut my bangs 3 inches above my eyebrows and my bangs consisted of the whole front of my head starting behind my ears. I almost cried when I left. I've been cutting my hair at home since I was 18, without any experience and I literally do a professional job compared to this. I had to buy clip in bangs to hide the fact that i had 1/2 inch bangs... I'll never put another dime into this place. If you don't know how to cut hair, don't pretend to. read more

I would not advise anybody to go get their haircut here unless they either lost their fantasy football league or want to shave their head bald but honestly doubt they even know how to do that. I came in here the other day for an impromptu hair cut, since I decided to cut my own hair at home and of course it went terribly wrong. (Take note people: leave cutting your hair to the professionals. It can go so wrong so quickly!) I was able to walk in around 6pm with a minimal wait. The staff was friendly, even as I explained my misfortune to them. Malaysia worked on my hair and she was very friendly and funny and did a nice job evening out my hacked hair. I especially love that a simple shampoo, hair cut and blow dry is around $20 instead of almost $60 if you go to a boutique salon. Brother was visiting town for the weekend and needed a good cut so I recommended here because I've gotten great cuts here in the past. Whoever helped him though went against what he asked for and cut things too short. He asked for an undercut and fade and showed what parts on the top to leave alone but she cut what she thought wasn't the top instead. Don't know if she was just having a rough day or something but it was really off from the positive service I've had before. Don't believe all these other "positive" reviews that you may be seeing for this specific Hair Cuttery. Just the other day I went in for a basic clean up, sides shortened and just a little off the top. What I got was the total opposite! The hairstylist continued to chop more and more hair of both the top and sides and procedeed to whisper to herself (not sure what she was saying) On top of that there was obsered amounts of smoke in the whole shop making not only myself but others cough. Do not go to the emo/goth looking stylist. My ends were particularly frizzy from running around all day in the humidity. I asked just for a trim. In response she critisized me and showed me with her hands where I needed it cut (approx 6 inches just below the ears.) because it "was all dead". I wish I had gotten up and left right then and there. I ignored my gut and agreed to about an inch and she took 2-3. I left feeling insulted and looking worse than I arrived. I haven't felt this depressed after a hair cut in over 10 years. Worse I got home and checked the back and it was uneven. She might be ok with men's hair (?) or maybe shorter cuts but ladies do not go to her for even the simpliest trim. She doesn't listen, ask questions, or understand various hair types. (Mine:Curly/dried straight hair with combination oily roots/dry ends). I'm a good person and gave her a tip, but she was aware I wasn't happy and had zero remorse. read more
