Yesterday, I came for a Covid-19 Moderna booster shot and was able to easily and quickly schedule the appointment online. They were polite and friendly and had all the paperwork ready for me to go upon arrival. Great and easy experience.

I hope Walgreens is treating her well because someone is going to want to steal her. Absolutely perfect customer service experience. The rest of the store is well stocked and clean. They have a parking lot which is very nice and centrally located on 24th street. And because they are at the oceanfront they have items you might not see at other Walgreens. One stop shopping.

Needing an item that I had researched where to best locate, I stopped at the Walgreens at Town Center. The building isn't the typical Walgreens style. It's built more in the architectural design of Town Center. Located on the northwest corner of Constitution & Virginia Beach Boulevard, it sits on an out parcel of Pembroke Square. Parking is plentiful. Handicapped parking spaces aren't adjacent to the building. The store is spacious with wide clean aisles perpendicular to the large pharmacy in the back. It was relatively easy to find my item because of the excellent signs in the aisles and each section of product. Great news. The supplement I take was "buy one, get 50% off a second". That works for me. I didn't expect there to be a large crowd in the store. But when I got to the front there was a relatively long line at the photo section. Only one employee was working the Photo section and checkout. It was rather awkward that she went back and forth between each trying to decide which customer should be waited on next. I didn't see any other employee in the store itself. I'm certain the pharmacy was staffed. I would go back to this Walgreens again. It's a much better layout with better aisle spacing than the Walgreens closest to me.

My mom and I make an online appointment the night before for 12 PM to get our flu shots the next day. When we get there, we check in with the QR code around 12:01. Maybe 15 minutes later, the girl at the counter, Nyema, got our insurance cards and got us all checked in. She was absolutely lovely, had a smile on her face the whole time. She was really the only good part of the whole experience. The poor girl was working the counter all by herself, nobody was helping her, and she was pretty busy. There was some kind of pharmacist there, but she was sitting in the back even while Nyema had a long line of people. The only time the pharmacist came out was because there was a customer complaining about their prescription. After she was done talking to him, she went straight into the back again. It was now around 12:40 PM and we still had to not been called. I went up to Nyema just to ask about how much longer because I had to work, she tells me it should not be too much longer. Like I said, she was so sweet. Around 12:50 PM my mom goes and tries to talk to a manager just to ask if there is somebody else we are waiting on. The manager on shift was a man with brown hair, middle aged. He apparently walked back towards the pharmacy with my mom and saw that Nyema was coming around with our stuff to get our shots. He says " looks like she's right there." No apology for the wait, just turns around and leaves. Seems like everyone besides Nyema doesn't like doing their job in this store. We get our shots and are able to leave around 1. I just find it crazy how you can make an appointment for 12 PM and not have more than one person working to help with shots or just the counter at all. Big shout out to Nyema. She either needs a raise or a new place to work with a better environment, because quite honestly, she is the only good part about this whole store.
