I would not recommend this place for itip extensions. I am new to the area and have been getting extensions for years. Never have I had my extensions fall out in 1 WEEK. 50% of the hair slipped out within 7 days with the rest within 2 weeks. The stylist did not order the correct tips. I know this because I had other stylists look at them and they knew immediately. The stylist also admitted that she did not know there was a difference. I'm sad to write this because I think the stylist is a nice person but it was a waste of my time and money. Not to mention the weeks that I dealt with half of my hair short and half long. It was embarrassing. I was forced to wear it in a messy bun. I called into the salon and requested to speak to the owner at least twice over the past week and received no return phone call. I almost didn't even have to write this review bc I'm a walking advertisement for the poor service. Mh friends and coworkers say, "wait- didn't you just your hair extensions done? Where are they?" I have been disappointed with their customer service multiple times. They incorrectly installed too many hair extensions in my wife's hair on her first visit and never seem to have appointments available when she needs them. They claim to be extremely busy. Today my wife had an emergency come up which I provided over an hour notice to fill her appointment. I sent my son in her place for a cut while my wife was going to run late and try and push to make her appointment. Upon calling to try and arrange scheduling I was met with the threat of a 50% charge for missing the appointment. When I inquired as to why, the person on the phone told me it was a busy week and we had a 5 hour appointment slot. She also said there was a 20 person wait list. Instead of calling that list and attempting to help another person, they decided they would charge me the 50% fee for the appointment. We all know they would immediately work the list and get someone in there given that it is XMAS week. Having been on this list before, I am acutely aware at how easy filling my slot would be. Had they offered to call and replace our time with someone else and failed, I would have no issue with this fee. But it came across as a complete money grab with no care for our loyalty attached to it. Couple this with the on-going quality issues with the extensions, I would go find someone else. read more

Don't go for an updo. My friend and I were from out of town and went here based on recommendation. The stylist didn't do what either of us asked for - I asked for my hair to not have a low bun (I got a low bun) and my friend asked for a blowout (she's too polite and the stylist pressured her to get an updo). Bekah did a great job and was very personable and easy to talk to. She obviously has great experience and knowledge working with hair because she confidently cut my thick hair with ease. The only drawback was that it looked like I was scheduled during someone else's color appointment so I could tell that she was under the gun to finish my cut and style before the other client's foils were ready to be removed. I feel like had that not been the case, she would've spent more time styling my hair to match the styles I had shown her before my cut. I just moved to VB from DC where I was a regular at Dry Bar and used the Glam Squad often to come to my house for blow outs. Unfortunately my new home here in VB has terrible water that has been leaving my hair flat, greasy, and looking terrible. So I immediately had to scout out options for regular blow outs and found the Dry House. Booking an appointment was super easy with their online system. I think I booked my appointment at 11pm at night for the next morning at 10am. When I arrived, there was no one working the desk but someone quickly came around to greet me and I waited no more than three minutes for my stylist. My stylist did a great job. I felt like she listened and understood what I was wanting (smooth blow out with big loose curls and very little product on my hair). I really like the idea of the dry house and I thought my stylist did a pretty good job with the curl on my blow dry. However, I did not love how the crown of my hair looked a little oily so the blow out was not able to last more than a few days. In addition, my stylist asked if I wanted a deep condition, I was not sure what this entailed but said okay. In the end this deep condition added $20 to my bill, which seems ridiculous to me. Plus, when it's your first time somewhere and places do this it's almost like taking advantage in my mind because you don't know how much these things cost. read more

"High class, bad...." you know the rest ;) I found this to be true on my first visit here.The atmosphere is unlike other salons, in that it is not judging of you and all the stylists support one another. The owner, Miss Georgia Huber, is very knowledgeable on all things hair. I found her to be very professional, and caring of her clients. My stylist was Julia, and she was so sweet and talented. I really felt she cared about the integrity of my hair, and wanted to make sure I was comfortable throughout the service. Julia spoke to me about what she was doing, how long it would take, and made sure to answer any questions I had. Quick background..I visited the Dry House after a truly disapointing experience at another salon. I had spent entirely too much money there, and the owner at that salon could not fix my hair. I walked in exhausted of my hair's situation, which was so horribly under-toned and wrongly colored. The atmosphere was a calm one, with cream tones, adorable barn doors decorating the sides of each station, a relaxing fireplace in the middle, and most important...champagne in mason jars! They also have wine, beer, coffee, bottle water etc. I suggested they add orange juice for morning mimosas! I am attaching some pictures of the before and after I visited this salon. They treated my hair with Olaplex, which I don't know why it was never used in before! Olaplex is truly a must for blondes/colorings. It is wonderful, quality made and clearly, not all salons offer the product. With regards to pricing, I felt the services were priced fair and I definitely appreciate that. I would first like to say that I have been going to the Dry House and have had amazing experiences with Cassandra and Raquel! Due to my availability, Raquel was not available at the time and day I could get there, so I selected any stylist that was available on 10/7/21. It was the worst experience. This stylist was unprofessional and has zero people skills. I told her I was there for a natural balayage (I am brunette and needed it to be brought up) and root touch up. She did my foils and said for me to sit. I reminded her that I needed a root touch up. She said she didn't have time for that and to make another appointment! I was also told that that would have been the first thing done, which I have always had my roots touched up with foils in my hair. I told her how upset I was and she said "it was a miscommunication and she thought I wanted my highlights to my roots" (how is that a natural look!?!) She said all she could do was put a demi on my roots. So, in the end, I spent over $200 for my hair to be striped with blond highlights and gray roots. This stylist does not have the tool kit to be at this caliber of salon. Ridiculous! read more

Having heard so many wonderful things about The Dry House, I decided to pop in and check it out, while I was in the area. I was greeted by a very warm and cheerful receptionist who was willing to answer all my questions. That is, until the conversation was interrupted by Kelsey. I was somewhat taken aback by the way the friendly receptionist was dismissed by Kelsey. The phone rang, and the receptionist happily answered the phone & continued her professional manner. I began asking Kelsey my questions, but Kelsey was too concerned about venting her work frustrations as well as complaining about her financial situation. I was shocked. I could not get away fast enough. For the record: All the busy stylists seemed very professional and the overall vibe was very positive. Customers appeared to be happy I will eventually give the Dry House a 2nd chance. Hopefully Kelsey will have herself pulled together by then. (But I doubt that I'll have her do my hair) read more
