BIG MISTAKE GOING HERE!! I got my haircut here earlier today. I was originally going to go to hair cuttery but saw this place and thought i'd try it. there was only 1 lady working there at the time, she was somewhat passive aggressive. I saw past it as long as the haircut was good. I showed her 5-6 reference photos, just a simple trim with a fade. I naturally have thick hair (not overly thick to where it needs any sort of thinning). As she was cutting, i realized she was going to town with thinning scissors, but thought nothing of it because i assume she knows how to do her job and cut hair (she doesn't)!! I walked out of there with hair that was too short and wayyyyyy too thin!! I thought maybe if i styled it, it would be better, but upon trying to, i realized just how thin it was. it literally looks like i'm balding (i'm 19 years old so that's obviously not the case.) i'm shocked that she would even think this was ok!! i had nice thick hair and she thinned it out to the point where it looks like i'm loosing my hair!!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT EXTREMELY THIN/BALDING HAIR!!! update: i didn't realize just how bad it was until all of my friends were laughing at me. my friend took a pic of the back "fade." it's not faded AT ALL. i also included a picture of the front so you could get a glimpse of how thin it is (it's this thin throughout my entire hair now.) needless to say, i stand by what i say. read more

Make sure you ask for Sam... she is super! A great place to go for the whole family to get a cut, color, highlights, trim, hair products... it is a wonderful place!!! Sam is a great Master Stylist that has been doing our entire family's hair for years and came here from another local salon. I was crushed when I drove from Washington DC and needed a cut to find she was not at the old place, only to find her here and in a much better environment. Don't hesitate to stop in and check it out, there is half the wait of local salon chains, the prices are great, and they do military discounts as well. read more

Went here a couple weeks ago shortly after 7p and though they were closed, Sam took me in anyways. She was polite and very professional and the cut was just as I wanted. Because she took me in after closing time and the cut was to my liking, I decided to return today and again, she did not disappoint. I would recommend Sam at Maxx Cuts to those men in need for a quick cut and at a very reasonable price tag. I believe I will become a regular. read more

The lady who trimmed my hair more like cut it lol but it's okay ..hair grows back . She was very friendly and talkative! The salon was very clean and nicely kept . The cost was not over the top as I paid 14.00 unlike other places whereby you'd think you stepped into a salon on Hollywood Blvd this was in my budget. Came in for a eyebrow wax and haircut. Its a good looking salon and Susan came off as friendly. She took me to one of the hair wash stations to wax my eyebrows first, and then automatically started shampooing my hair (didn't ask me if I wanted it). She also insisted several times on blowdrying my hair when I said I didn't want it. I was just heading home and didn't need it dried, but I was glad that I said no because I learned when paying that shampoo and blow-dry are both extra. If she had mentioned that or even asked if I had wanted my hair shampooed in the first place, I wouldn't have been put off. She also tried to charge me $17 for the haircut and shampoo, when the price chart says $16. I ended up paying less overall because she lost a good tip. She also lost the business a customer, which is a shame because this is closest haircut place to my house. 2 stars because it was not a bad haircut and my eyebrows look good. Susan was also extremely friendly. She simply needs to ask customers if they want a service that costs extra, and mention that it does in fact cost extra. read more

I took my two young boys in for cuts ages 2 & 5 My 5 yr old went first and did excellent as expected and his hair looked great.. the lady even did good with his crazy cowlick lol. then my it was my 2 year olds turn he sat on my husbands lap screaming, crying and howling the entire cut (this was not his first haircut he must have been tired) But the lady was still optimistic and ever so trying lol It took a bit but 15 min and one hair cover child/husband later he had his haircut and it look good! lol LOVE THIS PLACE The prices are awesome and they even offer military discount kids cuts are only $11 luv it! I had booked my appointment for my husband. He is happy with sam the barber. fast service with military discount $1 off. Although, l found a slight weird angle like a dent in the back of his haircut which he didn't feel like going back to fix it same day. However, he said he would visit again for the future. read more

Mens' haircuts have a reasonable price and Sam does a very decent job of getting your hair the way you want it without trying to get you to talk about your life history for half an hour. If you're like me where you need to get your hair cut in silence then this is a great place. She asks for your feedback if you need more trimmed off, etc. which is great. I would highly recommend this place and it's always been empty whenever i went without appointment and was taken care of right away. read more
