I loved the way my hair come out. Marisol does an awesome job with hair and wax. I only trust her with my hair and my eyebrows. She takes time to do your hair so it comes out the way you want it to. She has so much patience while doing your hair and takes good care of it as well. They do your do! Its tough to say, but I've been coming to this Salon for, oh.. roughly 17 years. I started before it was renamed Hair Dimension. Its been so long and so many great cuts since, that I can't recall the name of the place before. When I was a kid, I would get 8 dollars from my parents, ride my bike over to get my hair cut. When I was in High school and college I would ride my longboard over from work at the blockbuster a few blocks over and get faded up. Now I drive all the way from Fremont to get cut because I am absolutely, positively certain I will get the do I want, when I need it, for a price that is unheard of. I have never had to wait long when on coming in on a drop in, although appointments are strongly advised. The skill produced by this Salon is beyond par, and the service and friendly nature of the Stylists inside make you feel comfortable, and at ease, while they help you look your best. I can be very stickler about my hair, but never have I been given a short reaction or response when asking to touch up the cut in areas I deem necessary. I have known Karen, one of the amazing Stylists for much of my life, since before HD was created. She has cut all of my brothers hair, my father, and my mothers hair over the years. I now have my hair cut by Marisol, and been doing so for about 6-7 years. Never can I remember getting a bad cut. She is so amazingly nice that its more like visiting a friend then patronizing a business. All I can hope for is that they will be open another 15 years, So I can bring my kids in to get their cuts! I would give them 0 starts if i could. Was here for 4 hrs. I showed her a picture of what i wanted and was specific in that i wanted warmth. No ash no brass. 4 hours later, my hair looked like i still had grown out highlights, except they were now streaky like the 90s, a lot of brass and a blond that was far too bright for my skin tone. She told me my haircut was crooked (which she cut) "but it'll grow out, so don't worry". She didn't dry my hair either to see how it turned out. I left with wet hair. I got home and immediately needed to fix my hair. Went to the beauty supply (in a hat) and contemplated fixing it myself. Instead i made an appointment for the very next day at a nicer salon, who did a better job and was far cheaper ($130) to correct the color and fix the cut. She charged me $280...only took cash, has a sign that says "no refunds on chemical services," oh and no cosmetology license in sight...i looked everywhere (clue #1) read more

I was referred by one of my cousins years ago, and I was happy with every haircut I got. Until the day I was a few minutes late! Not mentioning any names, but one of the stylists was very rude to me and mentioned that I was late a few minutes and really got an attitude with me. I was surprised because I never saw her with such bad customer service, even though I explained to her I got stuck in traffic then I could not find parking-she still was rude. Ever since that time I stopped going here. Well they lost a customer and they lost a few more-my sister, my cousin, and my friend! read more

I have been a regular customer of this business since 2006 and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The girls are very efficient and do the most to make you "georgous". I was referred here by one of my good friends after moving into the area and in need of a new hair dresser. 2 stars are for Karen...She is so sweet and always did an amazing job on my hair. She took her time and always asked me exactly how I wanted it cut before she started. 0 stars for Marisol... I believe she is the owner. My friend raved over how sweet she was but she was the exact opposite to me every time I visited her business over a 2 year period. She made me feel so uncomfortable that I stopped going to her salon all together. She only cut my hair once and literally spent less than 5 minutes doing it! I had an appointment but apparently one of her clients walked in as soon as I sat down in the chair and she was way more important than I was. When I got home my hair was completely uneven. One time I called and made an appointment for 5pm Karen was not working so I made the appointment with Marisol. When I got there the doors were locked so I peeked in the window and of course there is Marisol cutting someones hair. So I knock on the glass and she glances over at me then turns away! I'm not an unreasonable person if something else came up all she had to do was ask me to reschedule! But she didn't even have the decency to open the door and give me an explanation. I don't know what her problem with me was but she was also pretty rude to my sister and I later found out a neighbor of mine had similar experiences. I was never anything but kind to her, tipped well, and always showed up early to my appointments. I have since found a new salon in San Lorenzo that I am happy with, however I do miss Karen she was always so nice. read more
