Sarah was very attentive and listened to what I needed. She mentioned that when the salon gets busier, everyone has a lot of fun and it can get a little loud with people, singing and laughing and talking everywhere. If I'm ever in an extra outgoing mood, I'll book my appointment for when it's a little busier and just see what that's all about :-) Drea at the front desk was very kind and helpful. She offered me water before, and after my appointment. Paxton was very sweet to assist Sarah in drying my extra long hair. We also had some great conversations during my appointment and since I'm new to the area, Sarah gave me some helpful suggestions on next steps with my hair and places to go for different services. One appointment turned into three because she ghosted me every single time. Taking time off work, driving across town, ready to spend a pretty penny, and I showed up to locked doors and a dark salon every single time. The first time, I was understanding. After that, I was just astonished at the lack of respect for my time, the customer's time! In our text exchanges when I would tell her I was there and doors were locked, I never even got an apology of any kind. Just "something came up and I had to leave" or leaving because "the weather is nice" and she was going to go enjoy it. The first time, I called her and she claimed she didn't have my number to let me know in advance... mind you, we had already exchanged multiple text messages about the appointment, so how could she not have my number? Even a search within her messages would have revealed who is coming that day and she could have texted back. Failing to save my number or keeping track of her appointment contacts is just another display of her lack of professionalism, an "extension of herself." I still have those texts! There are many other options nearby, one of which I went to, where the stylists not only do a fantastic job, but make you feel valued and look gorgeous.

But, as I began reading all her 5 star reviews, I knew she would be the perfect choice as I started craving some blonde highlights. I found my way to Salons by JC, where her salon is located at the Legacy Shopping Center. When I walked into Tabitha's studio, I was super excited and immediately felt at home in her space. I love the way the whole place it decorated. She sells jewelry as well as great hair products like Brazilian blowouts and she was the first stylist in San Antonio to provide feathers for those of us looking to jump on that craze. One thing I think is really great about Tabitha is that she keeps her eyes on the latest trends all over the country and goes out of her way to stay on top of all of it. That brings me to my highlights. As I explained to Tabitha that I wanted the whitest of white highlights, she told me she was a bit concerned about how much damage that can do to hair. She was totally willing to do it if I wanted but thought that what might be a better choice for me is to go for some platinum extensions. I decided to go with her recommendation and I'm so happy I did! My hair looks beautiful, I got the blonde I was wanting, but it's not permanent and it won't damage my hair.
