We were all paired up with a stylist who were all very attentive to each of us and so accommodating. Two of my sisters got French manicures and I even noticed that their stylists checked in with them to see if they liked their styles before finishing up their whole hands. One of my sisters and my mother even accidentally smudged their toes when drying, but their stylists also fixed them at no additional charge. Overall, it was such a great experience! Twice in the last few months the person who was doing my hair cancelled the morning of. I completely understand life happens - people get sick, emergencies arise, but when it happens twice in a row, the salon should do something more then send a generic text and then ignore their customers. After my replies to said text were not answered, I had to take it upon myself to call the salon to see if they could get me in another time. I made this appointment FIVE WEEKS in advance and needed my hair done for an event over the weekend. The woman on the phone was not very nice. When I expressed I was disappointed because this is the second time in a row this happened, she just said "we can't have people work when they're sick..." she completely missed the point. If I get cancelled on last minute, twice in a row, and you can't accommodate a new reservation, give your customer a discount or a free hair product. Not an attitude. Especially when the salon would have gladly charge me in FULL if I was the one to cancel last minute. Thankfully, I was able to find a place in the area that took me last minute so I will be paying them from now on. There are plenty of other places, who charge better, and care about their customers, so tread carefully with this place.

We first sat for a consult and my sister was very clear about she wanted. I was a little more laid back - I even told the woman, "I trust you" after telling her that I wanted, "volume that would last all night - but I don't want to look like Dolly Parton" (not that there's anything wrong with that look... not for me). I never should have told her I trusted her. That's on me. Anyways, we went back to get our hair washed and my sister and I hadn't really begun to talk - then the gossip between the stylists begun. They talked and talked and talked about their boyfriends, what their plans were for that evening, and how excited they were to be done with our hair so they could enjoy the sushi that awaited them in the break room. I don't get to see my sister often so I was really looking forward to enjoying this hair appointment to catch up. That didn't happen at all. My personal hair stylist's boyfriend came into the shop and took her keys. It was clear he was doing a diagnostic on her car. He kept going and coming. He took 3 sets of keys and did 3 different checks on different stylist's cars. This strange 3rd party character was off putting to say the least. They kept yelling across the salon to him when he was inside and talking about him while he was outside. Total middle school girl gossip during a $59 blowout (x2). It then became apparent to me that my stylist's plan for the evening was more important than my hair. I asked for volume - she used rollers. Rollers need hours to set in order to curl. She should have used a curling iron on my hair. Especially after telling her my hair doesn't typically hold a curl. I told her I wanted volume. My hair came out pin straight. She asked me if I like it and I said yes because if i told her the truth, we would have been late to the wedding. I didn't have time to listen to more gossip, debate prices, or get my hair done a second time. I had to ask her for a middle part because she parted my hair on the left without asking. Then when I got home I saw she hadn't even parted the entire center. I had to fix the part so it was straight. I was so mad I didn't get their names but we tipped them via Venmo (they asked us too - sketchy?! Isn't this a nationwide chain? Why are we using Venmo at all?) so I do have those records. Totally disappointed. BUT still have a 20% tip. Left 5 pictures of STRAIGHT hair. No volume at all. Don't visit this location. Total waste of money.

I will say that it's a Dominican salon however the staff speak English. The owner is usually working too unless she's away. I do recommend making an appointment in advance and arriving on time as there is a heavy turn around during the weekends. During the week there's a better chance for you to come in a slow paced manner. I'm sure this is a given, but bring either a book or your phone to have some entertainment while you dry. It'll help the time pass. Sometimes I am out in a little over an hour sometimes it's more if other clients arrive late which then pushes everyone else back. It is very culturally Dominican meaning there is sometimes a wait, rollers are done, blow drying is done, you're straightened, and you're good to go. However, I will say that if you're looking for a specific service -- you should mention it. For example, I do not sit under the dryer, I get wash/condition, then blow dry and straighten it. Its never been a problem. Sometimes the dry process depends on your type of hair though. For some it's best to sit under the dryer for others it's okay not to. They offer hair treatments, dye services, waxing, and sometimes basic manicures (if they have the staff.) Not sure about relaxers so I would check in on that. Parking is off street and metered. That meter lady DOES NOT play so make sure you're adding your coins on time. Last I went I also used the Passport parking app and that worked fine. 2 hour limit on most spots. They do accept cards, I recommend tipping in cash! The longer the hair, the pricier it is (common sense since it's more work) TO ME -- their prices are reasonable in a time where inflation is going crazy. I'll attach photos of my hair and my daughters hair but I've built trust over the years so I won't be going anywhere else. :-)

I should have never put my trust in this lady because my hair is uneven and she added layers to my hair that are not symmetrical on each side. I washed my hair and saw the drastic difference in length and when reaching out to Try and get a refund she refused. Don't go here don't go here has no idea what she's doing!!!!
