My hair was a big project because she needed to fix my quarantine hair that hasn't been cut nor color touched up for over 8 months!! the location is in a tucked away little building next to the fire station (not in the shopping center with Times Supermarket as I initially thought). Cute little loft that looks like it may have been a house before but I was told it used to be a tiny bank with one teller window (still there). I liked the warm lighting and nice touch with chandelier. I think I found my spot. They also do men's cut and kids cut was well. I went to studio 44 hoping to get a balyage. The woman was super nice (Florlyn) but charged me 300$ and gave me highlights instead. I sat there for 5 hours and it made me super sad and upset, we talked about how hard it is to work in the Customer Service business and that we always try to give our best to our guests. 300$ is the most I have ever paid and didn't even get what I asked. Let me start by saying my hair looks FANTASTIC. I absolutely love the root touch up, Balayage and cut that Tanya performed on my over grown and lifeless hair. She managed to know quite effortlessly the color I was going for and in far less time finished the entire process that has normally taken half a day. She truly knows her craft well. She and the others in the salon made sure that we (my husband tagged along) were comfortable and well taken care of. Though the conversations were light hearted and they really had us laughing at one point, they never failed to deliver on their professionalism and expertise which is a rare gift. This place really is as good as it gets. I've been seeing Florlyn for a little over a year and have been so happy with the results of her hair styling and also the hair treatments that she offers. I've always envied other women and their hair texture and styles -- I never thought that I could be the one sporting trendy hair styles because of the texture of my hair (frizzy and fine). First of all, Florlyn is honest and real -- she's not going to give you a hair style you got off Google images of an a-line sleek bob without telling you that if your hair is not similar naturally to the person in the fashion image that once you wash out her styling that it may not look the same. And so, she recommended a straightening treatment that could help me obtain what I was looking for. Keratherapy treatment... this is the miracle I've been looking for! I've just never had someone take the time and breakdown the recipe of what I need to do in order to get sleek styled locks with minimal work on my end. With the keratherapy treatment I don't have to flat-iron my hair in the mornings, all I have to do is brush and go. It makes my morning routine so easy...
