When he arrived to the location (after already checking in online), he was told that they would not take him because they were short staffed and were not allowing anyone to check in or walk in at 6pm or later. His appointment had been been booked an hour previously, yet he received no call from the store in advance advising that they wouldn't take his appointment and he drove there for nothing. i don't understand the point in accepting appointments if the business has no intent to honor them. i showed up for my 12:20 appointment at 12:16, checked in and was told "oh, you early." like... ok? that should have been my first clue. actually my first clue is that this is a supercuts and the bar is already pretty low. even so. customer after customer were taken and serviced ahead of me, and finally when it was my turn (at 1:10 pm) the stylist asked "you're only here for a haircut right? because this man has the appointment after you. so you just wanted a haircut, right?" in fact i had not just wanted a haircut, i had made the appointment for a shampoo, condition, and cut. the fact that i was already being rushed and my appointment hadn't even started didn't bode well... and i figured if she was going to rush that, there was no way i was going to have her rush my haircut. i told her she could just honor the appointment after me and i would just leave. she smiled and said, "okay! thank you!" i don't know who i'm more disappointed in: the business or myself for not being more assertive. i'm going to chalk it up to choosing peace and not wanting to be a karen today. lesson learned: supercuts windward city ain't it. read more

I followed my hairstylist here, Joy, from her Nuuanu store. Yeah, she's that good. She really takes the time to get my haircut just the way I want it. This store looks very similar to their other locations. Its clean and someone is always sweeping up all the cut hair. They have a bathroom in the back of the store past the hair washing stations. I am shocked and thrilled by this particular hair salon. I was very unsure about what to expect for such a good deal. I had a SPECIFIC cut in mind- my hair is very fine and i wanted LAYERS- lotsss of them but very thin layers as not to lose any volumn. Most do not realize, but 1 length is unflattering to fine/thin hair- and ONLY the correct fine layering can make those with hair 'like mine' appear to have much more volumn and therefore appearing to have thicker hair. I'm so glad Supercuts finally opened as I have been needing a haircut for awhile now. Please take note that there is now a COVID SURCHARGE of $3.95. This covers new safety and cleanliness procedures that the company must do. These cleaning procedures also increase the time between customers so there will be longer wait times even with an appointment. Please be patient and understanding. It was nice to see the chairs and area being sanitized between customers. The capes are washed after each use and the stylists use hand sanitizer between customers. Got another great and long awaited haircut with Dar. She is so personable and we have gotten to know a lot about each other. I won't go to another Supercuts stylist. I forgot to mention that due to social distancing, the chairs have been removed so be prepared to stand. Again, please do not take out your frustrations out on the staff or company. Almost always come here for the monthly buzz. The cutters are well versed on the latest basic styles and cuts. Maybe got 1 out of a 100 really bad hair cuts, but they can always fix it for free and hair does grow back. For the quik fix there's the golf cap solution my cure for bad hair days. If you call in ahead the wait is usually shorter. You can even request for your favorite cutter(might cost a little more but you'll get consistency). For the price and interesting chats you get with the cutters it's hard to imagine anywhere else for my hair necessities. read more

I brought my 7 year old there for a haircut on a Friday afternoon but they said it would be a 2 hour wait, ok no problem. I asked if I could schedule an appointment for the following day. They lady acted as if I was bothering her because they were understaffed and had to stop cutting hair to look at the appointment book. When she pulled it up, she asked if I could come in right when they opened, I could see the appointment book and asked for the 9:30 as there was nothing written in and she told me she couldnt promise me an appointment at that time because she didnt know how busy they would be. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair lately. Yes, I chopped it. #drasticchange #shorthairdontcare An asymmetrical bob. And I've got a bunch of blonde highlights, so I look blonde (my goal). I still need to go back a couple more times to get it to the color I want, so all my hair doesn't fall out or break off. Anyway, I've been to Kristen twice now and she was awesome both times. If i could give it negative 100 stars I would. So heres the story. I haven't gotten a hair cut in over 2 years so I went to supercuts since its near my house. That was the biggest mistake of my life. I dont remember her named but she was tall hawaiian kinda young looking. I had told her I wanted long layers and side swept bangs. She didnt the job but did the job so horrible that the layers looked so choppy... extremely choppy and when i pointed that out to her she didnt understand what i was telling her so i gave up paid and left very upset. Because the hair cut was so horrible I had gone to another hair salon couple days later and ended up getting my hair butchered by some guy. Its been over a year now and my hair has never been the same... I will NEVER EVER go to supers cuts in windward city shopping center. Supercuts Kaneohe at the Windward City Shoping Center. I have been going to this place for the last 3 years, and I enjoy both the service and haircut I get. I know it can be a bit pricey....but I think its worth it. They also re did the place back in late 2010 so it has a modern feel to it, but adds a familys touch with the great service. I always go to Long for my cut. She always greets me by name, and remembers how I want my haircut. She enjoys her job very much and I it shows when she cuts, and because of her this place get 4 stars....it would be 5, but, like I said, it is pricey at 18 dollars without tax. read more

Best first experience with hairstylist Kristen at Supercuts Windward City! I usually go to a private business hairstylist that cost a fortune and located far away from home. Having four children, I needed somewhere near my house and more time effective. I walked into Supercuts at Windward City and put my name on the waitlist. I waited no more than five minutes. Kristen is inviting, sweet and very easy to talk to. Kristen did a partial highlight on my hair. The best part was when she washed out the dye and massaged my scalp, I felt so relaxed. When it was done I was very satisfied with the outcome. Her charge was very reasonable and well within my budget. When I got home, my husband said, "Wow that was quick, and your hair looks really amazing." When I used to go to my other hairstylist he would always tell me it looks the same or sometimes he would say it's too blonde. So, I told him, "Right! I think I found myself a new hairstylist." My tot gets his hair did at this location. So my son's hair grows with Speedy Gonzales urgency. Have brought my son here two times now. Each time I have dealt with a different stylist. Both were quick & got the job done. Happy with the cuts! But I did encounter one young lady working there that lacked that warm welcoming approach to greeting customers walking in the door. Immediately, she gives me a face as if trying to say "yes? What do you need?" without actually welcoming me. I was carrying my son & simply stated he needed a haircut. She then said "well, that's going to be like a 30, maybe 45 minute wait". I looked around & saw one other person waiting & most of the stylist seemed like they were nearing the end of their cuts (mostly mens haircuts going on!). So I was like "really? 45 mins?". Then she said "yea. Maybe you want to come back". I felt as if her goal was to run me out of there by convincing me it's going to be an extremely long wait. I said no & sat down to wait. Well, literally (and say the word "literally " like Chris Traeger does on Parks & Rec) a stylist approached me 5 minutes after sitting down. And not only was that stylist ready to take customers, but so were 2 others. She grossly misquoted my wait time & it was extremely annoying to deal with that kind of attitude. I have been a hair dresser for 30 years and have worked for Supercuts for many years AND went through the week of hair cutting training ... On 7//27/18 I sat in Moriah's chair explained that I wanted a little more than an inch off my layers and to just trim the bottom She wet my hair and began cutting so far so good then a customer came in and she had to check them in so she checked him in and went to ck on her client under the dryer When she returned she apologized and proceeded to cut BUT starting in the back NOT where she left off which was starting my left side layers she cut the whole right side and handed me the mirror and asked me how it was . I immediately said that it was much shorter on the right side and she said "oh I cut it with a middle part do you part it on the side That would make it heavier on that side" Mind you my hair is layered not one length So what ever side I part it it should of been the same !!!! She cut a little more off my left side and handed me the mirror again I said No thanks and got out of the chair paid 21. + and I tipped her 5 bucks because being a hairdresser I know they work for tips needless to say I have a VERY uneven hair cut and am very dissatisfied I think Moriah need to go back to the week of training And to learn to cut guide then cut around the head and go back around to check like they teach you!! With my crazy schedule it is impossible to book a hair color and cut so I usually go to Supercuts Kailua. But with the increasing traffic in Kailua I decided to try the Kaneohe location. It is always a gamble to try a new location and stylist, I am never quit sure what I will walk out with. But today I gambled and won big time! Brittany did my color, highlight, and cut. I love this new place. Staff is friendly, salon is spotless and brand new, and the best part is the stylists. I've gone without an appointment each time and gotten different stylists. Been going to salon for years, stylist are friendly, fashionable..prices have increased, but so did everything else. If you got a bad haircut here you probably didn't explain yourself, these stylist are trained, and very comparable to any other stylist in industry, people think because it's Supercuts your only gonna pay 10$.. This is a corporate owned company and by far the leaders in the industry, local salons cannot compete, I've learned a lot by talking to different stylist, they have a lot of knowledge of industry as well as company.
