I have been going to the Hair Tiki for spray tans for about 2 1/2 years and I have never had a bad experience. Arlene is awesome and I can truly say that she knows the meaning of customer service & she had a heart and truly cares about people (which is rare in this day and age). Her spray tanner was acting up and she was the only person working there first thing in the morning. She spent a good hour trying to fix it but it would not work. I had to go to work & she stated that she would call me if she could get it fixed. I worked until 9:00 in the evening & she called me to let me know that she got it working & that I could stop by after hours to tan and that she would let me do a double session to make sure that I was dark enough for my event & even stated that she wouldn't charge my package but I stated that to be fair to her kindness that I would use one session. I paid for the package a month ago so she had nothing to gain but still cared about me as a customer. I very highly recommend the Hair Tiki as a business that cares about people. :). So some backstory: I had been battling a bout of terrible depression for months, and as a result I stopped taking care of myself, which led to my previously belly-button length hair becoming EXTREMELY matted. It got to the point where I was too embarrassed to go to a salon, and would just wear hoodies 24/7. Then in March, I had to fly out to FA for a wedding. So my boyfriend calls around to some hair places, explaining that the wedding is in 3 days, and is there anything anyone can do, and finally he calls this place and they accept the case. My hair stylist never asked me once "how this happened," which I'm very grateful for as I would've been too embarrassed to explain anyways, (unlike a nosy customer there who decided to stick her nose into other people's business and ask how my hair got like that "oh I accidentally stuck my head out of an airplane" seriously? How do you think this happen random nosy lady?! Smh) and overall just made me feel very comfortable throughout our entire time together. She spent hours trying to untangle as much as she could, though unfortunately it was too matted to be able to fix it completely, so instead she took charge and gave me a short haircut, that was still a little long in the front. I honestly thought I would burst into tears seeing myself with short hair, but to my surprise, I loved it! And now I for see myself having short hair indefinitely! Arlene was so kind and accommodating, we couldn't have asked for a experience. She heard what the customer really wanted bud didn't get too aggressive in cutting. She was very conservative in her approach to cutting making absolutely sure that she wanted to go shorter. Arlene is amazing. I told her what I was looking for in my color and cut, and that amazing woman gave me exactly what I wanted, after several stylists from other locations said it was not possible! She also took the time to give me a tutorial on how to style my hair after the cut. I had an amazing experience, and am looking into the salt cave as well. I have thin hair that lacked life, luster etc. The Hair Tiki once again not only gave me a beautiful cut and highlights etc but they somehow managed to make my hair shine and feel smooth and silky. We are very fortunate to have a salon of this caliber here in Sebastian. The salon is very clean, well-managed, and they do fantastic work. My stylist Susan does a great job at coloring my tough grays and she gives a fantastic head massage at the shampoo bowl. The products that they use are top of the line and they do offer them with no pressure. There's a lovely selection of handbags and jewelry along with some beachy clothing items. But you know the best part of the salon experience at Hair Tiki ... The Salt Cave! While you're waiting for your hair to process you can go into the salt cave and have some halotherapy. If you're not familiar with halotherapy it is salt that is dispensed into the air and you breathe it in. It also sticks to your skin as well which is great for any skin problems, breathing issues or allergies that you may have. I've been doing halotherapy for many years and it works wonders. Hair Tiki can book time for the halotherapy separately as well or you can come with a group of friends for a relaxing spa day. Prices are very reasonable here and the fact that they offer top of the line salon services, halotherapy, spray tanning, and just the overall vibe of Hair Tiki make it a great overall experience. read more

I really can't review this business because although the website says open Mon-Fri 10-7, when I went there on a Monday at 11am hoping to use the mystic spray tan, the door was locked and a sign on the door said enter code or ring bell. Since there was no bell to ring, I went to my car and called. I got an answering machine that said, " our hours are Mon-Fri 10-7 by appointment or by chance. " What is that? By chance. They should state clearly on their website "by appointment only". I've never gone to this salon, and was hoping to get my nails done and tan. What a waste of time. This salon is one of those places that after you have your hair done here by Arlene you will forever compare any future experience to her. I regularly went here until I moved and ever since I left I can not find anyone who can do my hair correctly and I am happy with! I am super picky when it comes to having my hair done but I can promise you that if you give this place a try you would not be disappointed. I haven't had anyone else from there do my hair so I can only vouch for Arlene but my guess is that she wouldn't have anyone work there that she wasn't 100% confident with their skills. read more

Allie did a wonderful job of cutting my hair. She asked me if i wanted my bangs shorter. She didn't assume what I wanted like so many other people do, which really annoys me. I have very thick hair and in the humid Florida climate it gets very hot. I will definitely go back for my next haircut. read more
