My consultation was with the esthetician and the nurse who does Botox. I appreciated them being willing to answer all questions about their licenses and sanitation practices!! They also have their current licenses displayed in full view. The nurse, esthetician and front desk staff were all really friendly and made you feel welcome. I wasn't pressured to do anything the day of my consultation- and I made my appointment for a hydro facial the following week. They are pricey, so I decided to go for the monthly membership which brought my total down from $222 (yikes!) to $155.00. And I got 50% off first time service. The hydro facial was comfortable and I already see results with my skin- especially my forehead area that was pretty congested and now looks smooth. She was gentle but extractions always hurt so there's that. She showed me what was coming out of my pores, which I wanted to see. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them and this facial. Oh, and when I told her what products I was using + asking for recommendations, she wrote down what she would suggest AND didn't try to push products on me. She was very honest and said "use up what you have and we can start introducing the new products later". She even recommended things from Target and not just their spa. I guess if I had any recommendation it would be I wish they played "spa music", they play some pretty upbeat instrumental- and I would have loved something more "spa sounds" lol! A good friend of mine experienced severe botulism poisoning after receiving Botox injections at this facility. Within days, she developed rapidly worsening symptoms that ultimately landed her in the ICU. Thankfully, her PCP was able to order emergency botulism antitoxin that was flown in from the CDC. When she began reporting concerning symptoms to her injector, she was reassured that what she was experiencing could not be related to the Botox injections. To my knowledge, her injector texted her to follow up with her, but didn't reach out at all beyond that (such as a phone call) during her hospitalization or recovery. Seven months later, she is still dealing with significant daily health challenges, and has not once heard from the injector. I understand adverse reactions can occur with any medical procedure, even when performed by licensed professionals. But compassionate follow-up, careful listening, and patient support matter just as much as the procedure itself- especially when something goes horribly wrong and ends up changing the course of someone's health and life. If you are considering Botox, I strongly encourage you to research the potential risks thoroughly (drugs .com can be a great resource for this), and ask detailed questions about adverse effects and how your provider would help you if you developed them. Patients deserve informed consent, ongoing care, and support, and should not be left to suffer when something goes wrong.
