The stylist at that time clearly lacked experience with short hair, leaving me with a choppy haircut and noticeable bald spots. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again during my recent visit. I was told I was booked with a "KNOWLEDGABLE Level Three Stylist," but my experience did not reflect that level of professionalism or skill. I even showed a reference picture of exactly what I wanted, so there should not have been any confusion. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing for the poor result, there was no accountability taken at all. Despite being very upset, I remained calm and still paid for a haircut that looks nothing like what I requested,just to avoid a scandal in a public place. I am beyond frustrated and digusted that Ruffalo's continues to hire stylists who do not seem properly experienced or trained, especially for short hairstyles. At this point, there is no possible way to fix what was done to my hair. I expect a full refund for this service. The only thing that would have made my experience better would have been if more things were explained to me about how the process is at this establishment. For instance, I saw there was a little bar and read on the rotating tv screen that refreshments were available. I was not asked or offered nor was anyone else who came in after me. I also wasn't aware that there was a nail polish "room" so when the technician came out to get me he stopped right outside the room and asked me to pick a color. I felt a little rushed to pick one out and felt bad because I waited about 10 minutes for my appointment to start and could have spent that time looking for a color. I just picked one that caught my eye and then we went back to the pedicure area. The pedicure room was very nice! Nice ambiance, music and lighting. The massage chair was nice. I know at most nail salons, the technicians and customers may talk during thier service, but this is not something that is really done here because it's intended to be a relaxing moment. So if you like to talk with your technician while getting your pedicure, don't be surprised if that doesn't happen because it doesn't seem like that is the vibe they are trying to set. I asked for a male technician and my request was granted. I don't remember him clearly telling me his name before we started. I did feel like he rushed at some points but did take his time when painting my nails which I appreciated. The massage was nice and longer than at most other nail salons. There was a lot of focus on my calves I feel as opposed to my feet. I wish he would have spent more massage time on my feet and my arches and did more massage techniques than the one motion. Another suggestion I have is for there to be somewhere for customers to hang their belongings (coats/purses) when that are getting their services done. I had to put my coat over n the chair next to me and my purse on the floor next to me. Maybe putting like a coat rack or hooks on the wall behind the chair would be nice for the customer. My total time for gel pedicure was 35 minutes. I am not sure if this is standard as the appointment is booked for 45 so they include 10 minute for polish selection? The massage chairs are alright, not the best. The pedicure seemed very rushed and there was not attention to detail. It looked fine in the dim light, but once I was outside and able to examine closer, the polish was not applied smoothly and is on my cuticles in some areas. The massage was okay, but pressure was light. Tech was nice and polite though. I also see some reviews mentioning drinks, this was never offered. Overall, for $55 for 35 minutes of time, I expect much better and will not be returning.
