When I asked for a thick (and short) toenail to be filed down, someone else instructed her how to do it. Every time I have had this done, they thin it in a rounded way so nail polish can go on normally. I do it myself at home and it's not a big deal. Instead, she only thinned it in one flat back and forth motion over top so it is oddly shaped and turned out looking like this (I eventually asked her to stop since she was getting so close to the skin). I appreciate how hard and long she worked, but I much prefer the result I do myself at home for $40 + $10 tip. I guess like with anywhere, it depends on who you get assigned.

We arrived a little early for our appointment and the owner wasn't very welcoming we knew we were early she said we had to wait because they were serving other customers which is understandable but we could pick out our colors or soak in the chair or wait. At 11:50 they took us back to the pedicure chairs. My pedicure started with a guy then switched to a woman. I wasn't asked about my shape only what kind of pedicure. In my opinion, there the pedicure pricing and options were confusing (I posted a photo but received a private message from the manager or owner asking for the picture to be removed). I settled on a gel pedicure for $50 (prices range from $32 to 55+) there was no description for the gel pedicure it just said it was $55, when it was over I had a standard pedicure with gel polish and I skipped the hot stones. I had to ask a few time for my toenails to be filed and shaped evenly and I believe that's because of the technician change part of the way way through my service (even though I had an appointment). Next we moved to my nails I wanted a regular manicure and to have the gel removed (which I shared when I arrived early and again when I was seated in the pedicure chair). Instead of soaking the hard gel off (which is what I'm use too) they chose to file the hard gel off. Not wrong but a much longer process and after leaving and closely inspecting they didn't get all of the gel off. I haven't had a regular manicure in about 6 months but my nails were not soaked in any water at all, they were trimmed, filed, a scrub was applied and painted. Overall, I don't think the service I received was soothing or relaxing ... 4 service providers for a manicure and pedicure even though we had an appointment and were there for about two hours. I had a gel polish manicure and pedicure from another place. I wanted that soaked off and replaced with a regular polish manicure and pedicure. First, a woman at the front questioned me when I said it was gel polish. She said it was builder gel. It wasn't. Not a big deal though. Then I was directed to pick a color from the wall. Pretty standard. However there was really no greeting, no instructions about the multiple shelves of polish, no request to sign in, I had to ask. Again, none of this was a big deal. My manicurist again checked my nails to see if it was builder gel or if I had tips. Again, no. She half soaked my nails and half used the electric file to sand off the gel polish. Overall, she seemed inconvenienced and like she was rushing to work on another client. She cut my cuticle which caused it to bleed. She wiped the blood off with a paper towel that she continued to use and wipe everywhere. She never cleaned my cut cuticle with any sanitizer. Then she ushered me over to the pedicure chair. And left me there for a little bit of time without saying anything. Then someone else came over and started doing my pedicure. The second woman seemed to do a better job with my toes. But again was not very communicative and only told me to go to the dryers, didn't carry anything, didn't come over to make sure the dryer was on. It wasn't. I had to turn it on myself. I have to say, I am not a high maintenance client. I go to another place where many of the reviews say how rude the staff is and yes they are but they get the job done. I have no complaints about that place. This place was just really unwelcoming. The staff seemed to be poorly trained. The salon was pretty beat up and just not clean. I had to wait to pay because the young man at the from was struggling to juggle someone trying to make an appointment while I was checking out. I was really surprised at how busy it was but they did seem to treat their regular clients much better. I will not become one as I do not wish to return. Oh and my nail chipped 4 hours after leaving but I am tough on my nails so that may not be their fault.
