This company cannot be depended upon to honor their contract with costumers. I have been a preferred customer with this company (originally Southwest Air Conditioning) since 2003. Last week my heating system broke down last Wednesday. Even though I have a contract with them for emergency 24 hour emergency service, no one answered the phones nor were there any way to contact them for over 5 days. They shut down their phone system and enjoyed a long Thanksgiving day holiday not returning to work until the following Monday. I was without heating and was forced to contact another company to do the repair. Hal Mechanical also claimed to give their preferred customers-a 15% discount in service and repairs. This didn't happen because they were not available to answer my calls. When I finally reached them this morning (12/2) they were not even aware that they shut down their phones and had no service available. Their response was: "we sorry". This out of pocket emergency repair cost me $800 and Hal Mechanical could not even try to compensate me in any way. I highly recommend Hal Mechanical and am extremely satisfied with their service. On June 1st we had an issue with our air conditioner so I called HAL for service. We had bought our unit from Southwest Air ( the previous company ) in 2016 with a 10 year warranty for parts and labor. Chad came, checked everything out and got our air up and running but unfortunately 2 weeks later we had the same issue again. I called HAL and spoke with Andrew the manager to explain the issue. He was extremely kind and helpful and sent out one of his top technicians Danial. Danial spent 2 1/2 hours checking every screw, nut, bolt, wire etc. He was very thorough and great to work with. it was decided the problem was most likely in the motherboard which was replaced under warranty but I was charge a labor charge of $138. The next morning I spoke with Andrew and he apologized and said it was a mistake I was charged for the labor and he was returning my check. They had gone out of their way to check the archives of Southwest Air to find my original contract and warranty. It was a wonderful surprise to find a company so honest and ethical. read more

Their methodology, people, tools, attention to detail is the best I have seen in the LV market. These folks were recommended to me from other professionals -- I see why!! They reworked HVAC duct work in my existing home to resolve airflow and temp issues I have had. First folks I have talked to that actually understood how to solve my issues that made sense. The terrific leader Noah and his team of Lauren and Scotty installed a new a/c system for me yesterday. It was quite a process and took the entire day! They were professional, upbeat - loved the laughter - kept me updated along the way. They were respectful of me and my home. When Noah was here and we determined I needed a new unit, he took his time to help me decide which unit was the best value/price for me. I've used Hal Mechanical for the last few years and don't have anything but the highest rating for them. On a side note, when leaving last night, Noah noticed the smell of gas and let me know I had a gas leak! Talk about service above and beyond! We have used Hal Mechanical for the past 10 years and they never fail to exceed our expectations. They serviced our old air conditioning and heating units for 8 years. They kept them together with small changes as necessary each service. Our units were 21 years old so we finally decided to replace all the units and add a unit to the garage. Hal Mechanical was here for two days and did a great job. Big change in our home and garage with new units!!! We highly recommend this team. They always look out for the customer and we never felt that they overcharged or replaced something that wasn't necessary. Saturday night about 7 pm, my air conditioner just stopped cooling my house. Fan was still on, but unit was not running. I called Hal's Mechanical with whom I have been a customer for 25 years (including their previous company Southwest Air Conditioning). I thought I would probably have to wait until Monday for service. Samuel and Matthew called me back and gave me a time estimate of when they would be able to come to the house. They arrived by 9 pm and had the unit working by 9:30. They were extremely professional and knew what they were doing!!. I was relieved and very happy when the cool air began to blow. We recently had Chad Christopherson come out to our home to give us a quote on how much it would cost to replace our AC unit. He was on time, professional, and friendly. Chad answered all the questions we had at the time of the appointment. The price we were quoted was in line with the other quotes we received. The only reason we ended up picking a different company to do the work for us this time was because they were unable to offer us any financing options. However, we will definitely be reaching out to him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone in the market for air conditioning and/or heating services. read more

We just had our winter service done by Hal Mechanical. Chad, their Service Representative, checks both our systems and gives us a status of our system. Considering he has to go into our attic twice, there is never a mess even with the dust in the attic. When our units needed to be replaced a few years ago, we relied on Chad's recommendation and had Hal Mechanical do the installation in a very clean an professional manner. I've used H.A.L. Mechanical for well more than 12 years, and they are the best. Their Spring and Fall check up plan works for me. The service is always on time and always totally professional, and they know what they are doing. In addition, in the past four or five years, I've asked for Chad to inspect and service our systems, and he makes H.A.L. even better. He is just a delight.
