The drain pan was not installed level, causing water to drip out and causing staing in my ceiling. The Condensate Overflow Safe-T-Switch failed to shut off the system. The primary PVC drain line wasn't installed to the correct PVC outlet. It goes out above a window on the second floor. It needs to be switched with the emergency pan PVC outlet that drains to the lower level of the house. I tried calling several times today. They must have my number blocked.

You get to speak directly with the person who's coming to fix your AC. You already know this is not some giant organization that's modeled on constantly trying to upsell you on something. Phap arrived promptly the same day and was able to diagnose my issue( indoor AC blower fan was constantly running, would never turn off). He was able to resolve the issue quickly (fan relay switch was stuck) and then, (gasp) he didn't charge me anything! This made my day, as I was prepared for the worst. He gave me tips on what to do if the issue returns: I may need to have the control board replaced ultimately if it keeps happening. But he told me I can order the specific control board online from Amazon if I need him to replace it, as that will save me a significant amount of money compared to him getting it through his supply house. As an aside, I saw in other reviews people wondered why Sooner Air was previously known as Mighty Oak Air as well as Win&Nguyen Heating and Air Conditioning. That same day, they emailed proof of product registration with the manufacturer to us. The registration was necessary to start the 10-year warranty and showed the model and serial number. August 14, 2025, we called Elite to let them know the new AC was no longer blowing cold air. They came out and said the coil and some other component needed to be replaced. This was very surprising for a 5-month-old HVAC unit. So, we waited for Elite to come back and replace the defective parts. After waiting a few days, we had to call Elite to ask when they were planning on getting the AC up and running. They said they were waiting for parts and would get back to us once they arrived. Two weeks later, we still hadn't heard from them, so we called again. We were told they had to check with the technician to see what was going on and would call back. Another 2 weeks went by, and no word from Elite, so we called again. This time we were told the parts arrived damaged and were bow placed on back order. We were surprised no one at Elite bothered to give us this update. When we spoke with the "service manager," he said he would look into everything and call us back on Monday. Monday came and went with no word from him. We called them again and again and were given the same run around each time. "We need to check with the manufacturer, or check with the technician, etc., and get back to you. We called again, and they said since the parts are taking so long, we've decided to replace the defective HVAC unit completely. September 30, 2025, Elite came out and replaced the HVAC unit with a "new" unit. This time, we did not receive any proof of product registration. We did not know the model and serial number of the new unit they put on our roof, so, as it stands, it looks like we no longer have a 10-year warranty. Tired of their games and bad customer service, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which was what finally prompted them to come out and replace the unit. We asked for the proof of registration, and they said we needed to call them with any questions. We didn't have any questions. We were waiting for the product registration so we could be assured our new HVAC is under the promised 10-year warranty. This needs to be emailed to us and cannot be accomplished over the phone. To this day, Elite Heating & Air Conditioning has refused to send any documentation of our "new" HVAC unit. We have no model number, serial number, proof of product registration, or warranty. We were without AC for over 6 weeks during the summer, which prevented us from listing the home for sale or from being able to rent it. Either way, Elite has cost us a lot of money and grief. Flash forward to 7/30/2026. This house was sold and the buyers just informed us the AC has quit working. I called Elite to transfer the warranty to the new owners and they refused. Beware! The technician spent approximately 10 minutes on our roof before concluding that our AC problem was a "pre-existing condition." That diagnosis ultimately affected our American Home Shield claim, despite what we believe was an extremely limited evaluation of the system. What made the experience even worse was the lead technician's comment that it was "not impossible" for people in Las Vegas to live without air conditioning, even in extreme temperatures approaching 120 degrees. The implication seemed to be that our AC must have already been experiencing problems before our warranty coverage began. We found the comment incredibly dismissive, especially considering how serious an AC failure can be during a Las Vegas summer. Fortunately, we had documentation to challenge that conclusion. We had a professional home inspection performed only about a month earlier, before our coverage began, documenting that the AC system was operational and in satisfactory working condition. Once we provided that inspection report to American Home Shield, the position regarding the diagnosis quickly changed. That only made us question how a "pre-existing condition" determination could have been made so confidently after such a brief visit in the first place. This experience caused unnecessary frustration and jeopardized coverage for a legitimate AC issue. Homeowners rely on technicians sent by their warranty companies to conduct thorough, objective evaluations not make assumptions after a brief inspection that can potentially determine whether thousands of dollars in repairs are covered. I strongly recommend reading Hollywood Air's reviews and doing your own research before agreeing to have them dispatched to your home through American Home Shield. Based on our experience, I would ask for an alternative option.
