While the asada is good, the size of the tacos were shocking. They are smaller than the average size street taco, we both even said if they're that small why even offer them on the menu. It took him about two bites of each and they were gone. I really wanted to like this place as it was our first time here, but in our personal experience it was very lacking.

Now that name should ring a bell because this food truck is the little mobile version of El Paisano, one of Reno's favorite Mexican/Salvadorian restaurants. The truck just hit the streets, and it's making people happy at private parties and office plazas all over. We hired them to cater a block party and it knocked everyone's socks off! For us they served a solid menu of classics like tortas, tacos, and burritos, with either al pastor, asada, pollo, or lengua. We chose those meats, but they can do anything you want. The kitchen setup inside the truck is really nice, and I'm sure capable of a whole lot more too. Everything was absolutely delicious, clearly food made fresh with a lot of love. The al pastor was rich and spicy and the lengua was incredibly tender too. They rolled out a full salsa bar with four or five varieties along with radish, limes and whole grilled jalapeños. Pricing was totally reasonable and the service fast and friendly too. I'd highly recommend working with these guys anytime! Ask them about their incredible taco cart too!

Atmosphere - A food truck, like none I had seen before. Looks more like a modified box truck as the cab was a separate from the kitchen. There is not much to rate as it a truck. Food Dinner - A food truck with burrito and tacos, too many choices. I went my classic choice of a burrito. And to top it off they have carne asada. Done deal! $7 was a deal for the burrito, there was some rice and beans as filler but the flavors of the burrito were great. I had totally unwrapped the foil from the burrito, but by then the bottom was busting out so the foil had to go back on. Service - It was what you needed, fast and friendly. I frankly had my doubts that they could pull if off. But to my pleasant surprise, I was completely wrong, and as the saying goes, this mother and daughter team "were kicking butt and taking names. From the time the event started, the line for food was 5 to 10 deep, and plates were going out every 30 seconds or so. The choices for lunch were BBQ pulled pork, chicken, and sides were potato salad, macaroni salad, and coleslaw. When it was my turn for lunch, I had the chicken and the homemade coleslaw. Because my mother made a really good coleslaw, I had to ask how it was, and the server told me her mother made it and it was good. The BBQ chicken was good, and the coleslaw was really good. At the end of the show, I thanked them for doing such a good job and told them how much I liked the slaw. Long story short, I ended up taking 5 pounds of leftover slaw home and was pretty much gone by the following Tuesday. So I would definitely recommend All Wrapped Up and their coleslaw.

We had not known about this place and what a hidden gem. We had an amazing wellington pie and a cherry pie. Crafted Palette features local artists and offers sip and paint classes. From there we went to Wild River Grille where we had amazing bruschetta and pork belly. The GM also gave us a great tour of the building and some of the history behind the restaurant and the apartments above, once a hotel (Marilyn Monroe was a guest while filming The Misfits!) We next journeyed to Papa What's Cooking for red beans and rice, with a side of cornbread. Both excellent. Finally, we wrapped up the day at Sierra Bakery and Creamery, where the owner creates all the ice cream recipes himself and we were able to chat with him. Great guy and great ice cream and treats. My friend wound up buying a quart to take home. Reno Food Tours is a great way to spend an afternoon. Our guide, Fanci, was great and gave us lots of fun facts about various buildings and some historical information and lore surrounding the biggest little city. Chef Jonathan puts on a raucous, joke-filled (R-rated), cooking show with audience participation and brings along a wonderful cast of cooking teammates to make for a wonderful event! When we arrived at our friend's home, there were appetizers and drinks out. Chef Jonathan laid the ground rules for the live show, and then the jokes started. I'm sure he would use different one's if kids were present, but if you're over 18, all bets are off! LOL The live show had humor, great smells, drinks handed out, and tastings for the guests. He made food for vegetarians, lactose-free dishes, and all different types of food preferences...truly a remarkable feat. During the show, I learned a few things, laughed a lot, and was VERY entertained. The food was DEEELISH! There was plenty of food for everyone, and a lot of good times were had by all.
