We ordered 100 tacos for a party at our house this past weekend and it was such a hit! The meat was super flavorful and everything came all assembled with the toppings on the side which made it so easy for everyone to customize their tacos. Went here for the first time and let me tell you this is probably one of the best taco spots I have found since moving out here from San Diego. The person who handed us our food had excellent customer service. The tacos were flavorful and the portions were more than generous. 10/10 recommend. We recently had King Reno Tacos cater a family member's graduation party. From the moment we started working with them it was smooth sailing. The responsiveness and communication for planning was excellent. Our event space was slightly unusual and they did a fantastic job making it happen. What a wonderful caterer! We were looking for a great food truck for my daughter's graduation party on July 8th and reached out to King Reno Tacos after reading some reviews. I had not tried their food but they were professional, friendly, and timely before the event. They showed up for a site visit before the event and came exactly when they said they'd be there. But best of all, their tacos were so delicious. I had the vegetarian and chicken ones and I talked to others that had the steak and carne asada and all said everything was great. I would definitely hire them again. I wish I had taken photos but I forgot because I was enjoying the food. They provided sides outside the truck, a trash can and tent for shade. This was the easiest time I had for planning food for a party. No mess, no dishes to clean and great food! I cannot say enough good things about Theo and King Reno Tacos! read more

Atmosphere - It is a food truck, so I will not rate this. Food Dinner - Small tacos is the specialty of the truck, and who does not love a street taco. They have several different types and I went with the Mexico City tacos. Three to be precise with steak as my choice of protein. The taco comes with chorizo, sweet bell peppers, and cheese. I loved how those ingredients are melted together. I topped the tacos with the spicy salsa which gave the tacos a nice zip. Service - Fast and friendly. I would have had loved to see how they made my tacos. Future - Yes please! I would like to try the Los Angeles tacos as it has fresh guacamole. read more

I have used King Reno Taco Truck for two different catering events at my house. First of all, the food is amazing, but beyond that, Theo and his wife, Mayra, are super friendly, courteous and accommodating to any request. The street tacos are the perfect size and come with a variety of salsas and veggies on the side. Leftover food was packaged up at the end of the night and given to me. Lastly, I had them for a team football dinner for Reno High and our team beat the undefeated Lancers the next night. Coincidence? I think not! read more

I'm saddened to have to leave such a low review but haven't much choice. This is a taco truck so the time it is taking them to make food is truly inexcusable. I was excited to try them as their food looked good on Instagram. When we found out they were parked at 10torr that was an added bonus. First standing in line took about 15 minutes ..and I'm not talking a long line ..only 3 or 4 people. After finally ordering you are given a pager..ok .. odd but whatever ... for tacos we waited 45 mins!!!!! Don't get it and everyone in line was complaining about the wait. The prices are low but that's necessary for the surprising size of food you get. I couldn't believe what they call a quesadilla... it's a tiny flour tortilla folded in half! But a business owner should never be unprofessional and go behind the scenes and send messages as horrible as the ones this person is sending to me. Be Careful when leaving messages and reviews for this business that are not perfect as he cannot handle them and is bored passing the customer that did not care for his food or service. This guy is the embodiment of hard work and passion colliding. Very simple menu that offers something for every taste. It has a nice grill set up that's open face so you can watch him make the tacos. He's always playing some music when he cooks. There's a table and chairs located in front of you want to hang out and eat. He seems like he knows a lot of his customers personally as he welcomes many by name and asks them how their family/work etc. if you're unsure of where to go and happen to be in the area I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing some street tacos, they are my favorite in the area for sure! read more

Might very well be the best tacos in town, but since I have not been to every taco joint, only 4 stars. It's the best tacos I have had and if/when I get around to all the joints, I would not be surprised at a 5 star upgrade. It's that good. His little cart has everything he needs and he uses it all. Watch him when he makes them. He really takes pride in his work and it shows in the presentation and the taste. I had 4 tacos and it was 1 each of his specials. Each one great and each one different. He also serves up traditional street tacos with a choice of meats with the standard cilantro and onion. He does a lot of catering if you need some grub for a group. This truck is always near my house. I've been driving by for a while. Well, I finally decided to stop and I'm glad I did. I ordered three tacos. One traditional street taco, The San Francisco, and the Compton. The San Fransisco was spicy pork with pineapple, the pineapple kept it juicy. The Compton was steak with cheese and sour cream, was great, and my favorite. The street taco with spicy pork at first was a bit dry but I added lime and it was tasty. I was only wishing for cilantro on these tacos because I love cilantro. The really cool thing about this truck is that they offer grilled onions and jalapeños on the side they are a must have!!! This Chef is authentic and passionate! His flavors for the tacos are truly unique and very flavorful. My favorite is the Compton, everyone was talking about it and I was like its a chicken taco. Yesterday we hosted a 60th Anniversary surprise party. King Cali catered for us. Very professional and friendly. He came to the house twice to figure out the space arrangement. And the food was delicious. Made to order tacos, ceviche, guacamole. Probably the best tacos I've had in Reno and I've had a few. Super clean, super nice. Just a great experience.
